The different between 2 HTC WWE ROMs are summarised as follow:
1. Radio ROM is different
2. Version of Windows Mobile 6.1 is different
Radio 1.58.26.20 is older that Radio 1.64.06.04
3. Radio 1.58.26.20 have SAP Setting.
4. Radio 1.64.06.04 cant reboot after hardreset. Soft reset has to be performed after shutdown or use stylus.
5. Radio 1.58.26.20 - Version of SIM Manager is 6.36 while the other is 6.38

Well I think you can: look for the file "Microsoft .NET CF 3.5.GAC" (watch the space!) in the Windows directory. Make sure you can see hidden files.
What is the difference between the WWE-editions and the UK-edition?
Can I use the UK-edition in the Netherlands (T-Mobile)?
Is the UK-version branded? Vodaphone all around the ROM; other colors etc.?

The default screen with HTC Home enabled. Bloody horrible.
Unsuprising, but more horrible colours.
No Worldcard, No Windows Live but hey we get business email... It also misses links to teh HTC audio player, but I think the previous ROM had it in there somewhere. Ultiamtely this is missing the same applications that were missing on the stock rom.
Old style task manager - its running 2.5. The centre rom had 2.x I think.

I just gave the Vodafone one a quick flash:
Seems sluggish, flipping the screen when sliding takes a looong time.
PIE seems to run better, although I've had it "lock up" on me a couple of times - won't load pages.
Threaded SMS is much better than the leaked beta - there's a character count at the top of the screen, sent messages appear in the thread almost instantly.
It. Is. Fugly.

Just flashed this ROM and it looks great. One little problem i'm having is with the weather app though. When I click on it from the HTC Today screen I can choose my city, but then nothing happens. It displays my city, but doesn't update the weather. I have checked that all my connection settings are correct (which they are) not sure if I need to enable a setting or this is a problem on this ROM.
Other than that I do LOVE this ROM. Good work.
Edit: Nvm figured it out. Simply required a soft reset. Once again...good job.

Just to be 100% sure: how can you check if a device is CID unlocked? Simply by looking at the versionnumbers in the bootloader screen? If so, mine are:
IPL 1.13.0002
SPL 1.11.0000
Does this mean I am good to go flashing your rom?

strange, I'm getting only 8 tabs in comm manager instead of 10... no internet sharing/beam options... I'll reflash it to see if that fixes the problem...

Ok I loaded it and it seems to run really well. I only display the usual 6 icons instead of the 10 icons his pics displayed. However I like all the extra features he built into this rom. Nice job. Would like to know how to get the 10 icon cube tho...any ideas?

It looks like a fake ROM version. The information is almost the same as HTC's ROM 1.56.405.5
The only different is Connection Setup becomes Network Wizard.

I doubt that very much, the ROM as it reads is a shipped rom; a preloaded rom on DOPODASIA devices, so lets not jump into conclusions, I tested the rom and found it very much similar to the original rom of HTC originally loaded to my device with no worldcard, network wizard which is locallized to the asian nations (cab to update it to include all regions is available).
And the rom is a newer build than the HTC's, But not newer than Dutty's.

Not necessarily. This is the version of HTC "build" (as opposed to CE or WM) and it may very well be different from the generic ROM installed on non-branded, unlocked TyTN IIs. The version may indicate different set or different versions of installed applications or drivers, i.e. the extROM version on older devices.

Bought about 3 weeks ago.

I am from Singapore
So you have a "Dopod". That's where this ROM came from. Unlocked Kaiser's in Europe and Middle East are sold as TyTN II, with a different ROM. Based on the same build of WM6 though.
This new ROM 1.81.707.0 and my ROM 1.56.405.5 have the same ROM date. (08/28/07)
Is that correct or is there no difference between this ROMs?

I have not seen much difference from testing the rom other than what I've said eariler.
And I think having the rom available is good to help people wanting to revert back to their official rom.

Any benchmarking test(s) performed to measure the speed?
Upgrading now. The new AT&T Tilt rom just released sucks!
It does not pick up signal when I exit the subway, and hence do not get push email or calls.
Not good as I rely on this for work!
Hope this is better. Radio is newer than AT&T Tilt ROM.

That radio for me was the worst one I ever tried in retrospect to battery life. I hope you have better luck with it.

dunno abt this being new. its the exact same rom i have on my tytn2 bought at singapore. vsbenchmark score is 1399. seems stable so far. some apps mess it up, needing hard resets, else works fine.

Why Bengali? Its a SEA(South East Asia) ROM. I hope you have'nt flashed already, because this ROM is pre programmed to interchange languages every day starting with english-thai-mandarin-vietnamese-malay

HI, I would like to try this rom, cuz the screenshots look good, however I'm not feeling like changing my current hardspl (3.34) cuz I think it is doing its job fine, would I brick my phone if I flash this rom using hardspl 3.34 or any other different than the one you recommended? thanks in advances for taking care to answer such a "noobish" question.

1st Reports,
ROM is doing fine. It is smooth
Active Sync is doing fine
Boot happens in decet time
Splash Screen required
Some error comes in between of some prog called MiniPIE when i do following and M2D crashes : sometime if i press mail or footprints icon directly. If i scroll to these icons things work fine. The Mini PIE error says : The address is not valied. Check address and try again.

2nd Report:
Problem is with Footprints. It crashed manila. Once i disable the tab things are fine. Can you put the phone screen which was in JJ's Rom. The current phone screen is not that good. Thanks. Otherwise Arksft manager crashed, the default task manager does a good job. One more feature would be appreciated, Long press on X in right bottom to close the program from memory and a slight vibrate while closing the program. Thanks for the efforts

SERIOUS PROBLEM: Phone drops network and never regains it.
Radio: 1.70.18.08 (worked very well in India on all other ROMs)
Hard SPL: 3.56 (using since ages)
Only after restart it ragains the network. Moving back to JJ. Sorry dude. Will try your next version.

Maybe you should look to the cook's recommended hardspl and radio

before you even attempt to flash your phone read the wiki and the flashing for noobs tutorial (click under my TyTNII link on my sig to get there). You will definitely brick your phone if you don't hardspl first.
