TCPMP/Flash Video Bundle/ Out of memory when saving video - General Topics

Not sure how this program works but It Seems like when I try to save a video to my Storage Card, it runs out of storage memory when it exceeds the amount of my storage memory.
Anyone else getting this memory message?
Anyone have any ideas on what to do about it?
I've attached the latest .cab that fixes the you tube problems, so you don't have to deal with Rapidshare.

Here is what I think is happening.
When you try to save a video to your Storage Card that is bigger than the amount of Free Storage Memory you have, you get an out of memory message.
I think it loads the entire video to Storage Memory before it puts it on the micro sd Card? Okay I'm just guessing but its an educated guess based on what I see happening.
If someone who knows can enlighten me.

its always been like that when downloading any file from the browser far as I know. Doesn't transfer straight to the card. Same thing with bluetooth transfers I believe.

Weird SD Issue - 5mb of memory still in use even when card..

Hi,
I have a Dane Elec 512mb mini SD card. I use it to store music on my Mini XDA s and do this by syncing it with media player on my desktop pc.
I noticed that even when i delete all the music off the card it still says on the device and in windows media player that there is still 5.37mb in use?
This is weird as the card 'appears' to be completely empty. Anyone else had this or know why?
I just noticed on the 'Sync' panel in media player there is a button at the top right that says "Format storage media".
Is this a safe way to wipe 'everything' from my SD card without messing anything up? (Its just i have read horror stories on here of people formatting their SDs and them losing memory afterwards).
You can format you SD card no probs, I've done it on several devices. You could do it with a card reader or by using a prgramme like Wintersoft Storage tools which also lets you analyze and defragment the card too. Typically you can reclaim a little bit of space this way too.

[Q] Copying Corrupted MicroSD to fresh new one?

Guys,
I did a quick search on the forums and it seems the general idea is to copy all the files to your computer, copy the files back over to a new MicroSD card.
What if your 16GB MicroSD is 4+ years old and starting to get corrupted? The biggest issue is when playing my massive MP3 collection - everything will go fine, except a song might now have screeches or bleeps where the data is missing, or more often, the player will report "Cannot play this file" even though I played those exact same MP3 files previously with no issue in the same app.
Is there any sort of software that would copy only the non-corrupted data? What about cleansing the data prior to migrating? Is there a way to repair corruption? If it helps, both microSD cards are class10 16gb. Only difference is the manufacturer

Pono player serious problem seeking for help (challenge for experts)

Hi
I will try to explain what happened to me ans seek for help, hopefully to find a solution if any.
I got one of the first players with 1.01 firmware. I connected to the computer and updated to current version 1.06
But at the same time I THINK i format in ntfs the internal memory of the player, instead of the external (card) memory card.
Player now still showing menus, options. But no music is show. Even if i load music in the memory card, seems that il loads for a while but nothing.
Also , computer (pc windows 10 and 8) doesnt recognize the player anymore. I can not acces to the player in any way.
Finally, in the memory library of the player, the card shows correct memory 50gb used of 60 gb for example, but the internal memory shows 0gb of 0gb.
I am writing this with the hope that someone can explain how to access the player to reintall a full firmware, rom, or reformat the internal memory in any way.
Many thanks guys

available space on 32gb version?

Is 32gb enough storage with whatever available space there's? I play one game but download quite a few apps. Pics I save on Google photos. Let me know how you all are making out with storage.
There is expandable storage with a microsd card, up to 128 gigs. Plenty of deals at this time for less than $30.
I don't remember exactly, but I think there's like 18-20GB of free space plus whatever you add via SD card? I've got ~15GB free and 30GB free on a 64GB SD card, so I'm doing fine for space.
It comes with a few preinstalled apps that are able to be deleted. I had around 21gb available after deleting the preinstalled and installing the apps I used. Roughly 20gb available.
I heard a micro SD can slow down the device? Is this true?
SD cards have slower read and write speeds than onboard device storage so they're better suited for to be used like a SSD+HDD is in a gaming PC. SSD for applications, games and stuff that needs to be fast HDD for mass storage of movies, music, some games, and whatever else.

Files don't just "disappear"... either something deleted them, the media database is out of sync, or you have a storage problem.
Storage is the most common one... Do you have as SD card installed? Is it setup as adopted (internal) storage or portable (external) storage? Adopted storage is problematic at best in this devices, and the devices are pretty inconsistently finicky with SD cards, one device will work great with Sandisk cards and the next will cause the card to fail in days. To be honest, even Moto support personnel suggest never using adopted storage and to maintain online backups of media with apps like Google Photo (always good idea, even on devices that don't have storage problems). If these are just on internal storage of the device and you don't have an SD card, well, it is entirely possible that the internal storage chip is going bad, which is not replaceable or repairable... so yeah, there is that. TBH, a storage issue is the most likely cause.
Media database is out of sync... No way to tell for sure, but you can rebuild the database by going to Settings - Apps and tapping the 3 dot overflow menu and selecting Show System, then find Media Storage and External Storage apps and open them, then select Storage, and Clear Data on both, then reboot and let the device sit for a minimum of 5-10 minutes without using it after it is fully booted so the databases can rebuild automatically (if you have an adb connection monitoring the logcat, you can see when it finishes, but most likely you don't so just be patient). Then see if they "reappear" and are playable (meaning the databases were out of sync), or the icons are just gone now (meaning the files were deleted but the database hadn't caught up yet).
Something deleted them... Not sure how to troubleshoot this one, could have a rogue app or spyware, but that is EXTREMELY rare, much more uncommon than people believe.
