Are there any RUU installers for Prophet's Radio part of the ROM only, the way they are available for Wizards?
To be exact I have problems with GPRS roaming on home network's setings with Qtek S200 AKU2 WWE ROM,
Radio part 02.07.20,
and would like to change radio ROM to
02.19.21
that I've seen is available integrated to newer Dopod ROMs
Ps. the same problem occured with my Wizard's radio ROM (that's how I know what to blame), changed it to 2.25 and woks like a charm!
..and to add to my question:
Can Radio ROMs from Wizzard be used on Prophets?
If so, can this Radio ROMS, available on the popular Wizzard thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=52952&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=) be used in any Prophet?

no, any Wizard cant use for Prophet
I'm using Radio 02.30.21 which I got from

It works fine on my G3 i-mate, but I don't know what the differences are from the previous version.

I just downloaded and installed the G4 version on my XDA Neo (JAMin ROM). It worked fine. I also noticed there might be some signal boost since I got better signal in the same area. But I am not 100% sure yet.

But could you please explain where did this 02.30.21 Radio come from? (Is it from DOPOD 2.15 ROM or from Wizard ROMs?)
I used some Thai to english service to find out that it came from the French ROM that we have on XDA FTP..
Tried the G4 Radio ROM on my SPV M600 with Dopod ROM.
Had 3 reboots in one day.. .think I just reflash my device with the Dopod ROM and watch this thread for a while

No it doesn't.. ..it only updates the Radio part without hard resetting

you have to have AKU2 rom:
if it's 2.XXXXX.00001 then G4, otherwise G3 ... But you can try with G3 flash and the update utility will not alow you to finish the proces if it's not for your ROM - then just take G4 and flash it
And what if anything goes wrong?? Is there anything to avoid a Hard Reset??

I installed the G4 Radio ROM in my imate Jamin ROM 0000, it installed and worked ok, but then I read this thread, I decided that my device must be G3...anyway, I installed G3 and it also works fine. What would happen if I left the G4 version on it ...Kablueeeee! ?

no need to hard reset your device! With radio ROM only you will not loose any data
the worst thing you can do is kill your GSM signal and telephone part, you can still backup all your data and reflash with your original ROM (regardless of it beiing older than radio version)
I reflashed my SPV M600 with the Dopod ROM and went back from Radio 02.30.21 (French ROM), to the Radio 02.19.21.
The radio part from the French ROM made my device reboot to many times. Mostly when I was on the phone for more than 15 minutes.
is it really a problem to use G4 radio rom on a device that is supposed to use G3?!?
I upgraded my Qtek S200 with the lastest french rom... it is supposed to have the latest radio rom... but I have some problem with it... sometimes, it loose the signal for no reason... sometimes when I try to send a sms, I get "phone not ready"... the auto-disconnect for gprs does not work correctly after I send a mms... sometime I can not hang up after a call, I have to soft-reset..
So used the G4 radio rom on my device (2.xxx.0000 IPL/SPL), and now it works fine... I do not have any problem with it... all functions are working fine...
Wizard's radios can be flashed to Prophets!!

I too would like to know what is different besides the versions. Not to say I'm not grateful, but I need to know my phone is going to work after a flash.

Okay I was able to extract the radio ROM and flashed to my HTC Kaiser. I had a problem in that while it connected to the network, all sound had been disabled with this version of the radio ROM, both from the earpiece and the speaker. Went back to 1.27.12.17 and sound came back.
I can only think the radio ROM also contains audio drivers, and this radio ROM isn't compatible with some Kaisers.

I'll try it. The initial radio has been horrible for me - with a 8525, I always live on a 3G connection with full signal strength. With the Tilt, I keep only two bars on 3G when I connect and I drop down to 1 bar Edge all of the time... The Edge connect is draining my battery fast...

I had the exact same problem... i am also using a cooked rom... but my data worked just fine...
Can anyone who flashes the whole rom let us know if it works?

I don't think there is any radio ROM that will suddenly give improved signal strength, you need a new aerial for that surely? The best it could is report the strength differently to make it appear better, or fix some bugs with certain networks.
If the Wiki here starts working again I will try and upload the radio Rom there.

I did try whole rom and its work fine and i try os only with old radio no sound
So what's on this rom? Is it the same as the AT&T but with a newer os and radio?

radio vers: 02.07.20
protocol vers: 413.1.03

softreset is automatically.
no need of HARDRESET.
But if you want, it is better.

What's the purpose of upgrading the radio rom? Will it give my prophet 3G network compatibility or something? Do you mind writing just 1 line of the benefiits of upgrading for each of your ROMS? I find you have contributed a lot but I just dont understand it. I've read the wiki too. I'm still using default ROM 2.15 with WM5

Flashing a Radio ROM will upgrade the software used for call handling, bluetooth and WiFi. It will not give you any functionality like 3G, but may increase Reception, and reliability of other Radios. It may also alter battery life.
If it's working fine at the moment, there is no real need to upgrade.
I'm download this Radio Rom and hoping it'll cure my problem.
How do I flash this Radio ROM? Do I use the Wizard Service Tool V4? A amature question so please bare. Unless it has its own execution then disregard my question
I enter the phone into Bootloader and ran Radio ROM 2.19.21 which is what I had original and program indicate "Error [300]: Invalid Update Tool. This update utility cannot be used for your PDA phone. Please get a newer Update Utility."
So I tried other version and getting the same message. I'm very confused, plz help.

I simple use the Prophet Tools Light and it worked! everything back to normal!

Guys.. I understand that what the radio rom is for... Wifi, GSM, Bluetooth etc.. and that 2.19.21 is THE recommended 1.. but.. can someone please explain why? whats the difference between 2.19.21 and the latest 2.69.21 etc? If someone can post a brief guide on the pro's and con's of each radio rom then that would be great! Im particularly interested in a rom that gives the best wifi distance if anyone can recommend one? Also.. If I upgrade the radio rom will that affect my ability to access certain networks in in different countries? Im in South Africa would like to continue being able to use it in South Africa.. but would like longer wifi range if possible.. Thanx

I recommend it, because last time I test it. This RADIO ROM is more stabil and has aa good battery usage.
But If you think that 2.69.21 is suitable for you. You can use it too.

Thnx Varanusvincent.. so i take it that upgrading the radio rom wont have an effect on which countries I can use the phone in? See the last time I tried to flash a fone it ended up only being able to work in Canada! Oopz Dnt Ask! Hehe
Anyway, it just seems to me that the reason people create upgrades is to increase stability rather than decrease it and maybe provide new features.. I doubt that radio roms will provide new features.. but I am hoping for longer wifi range no matter what the battery drain may be.. so think i'll just take a chance this weekend and play around with the radio roms and see what happens then.. Rom do you mean it (RUU_Polaris_DOPOD_CHINA_1.51.706.2_radio_sign_25.7 1.30.05_1.58.27.27_Ship) may result port from the ROM HTC Kaiser
should make sure the truth ROM are you looking for it

what You've tried to use the SIM Card Others..??
if the result is the same (weak signal) you try to use PolarisUnlocker !! careful

My machine model is sold in China DOPOD P860 HTC Touch Cruise is the Chinese version of my machine before the signal is good, but once I unlocked the brush Radio, and then the nightmare to come, I brush Almost all of the ROM and Radio, but the signal is still weak I really do not know how to do, and who can help me, OH my DOPOD P860 (HTC Touch Cruise China Version)

radio improves the wifi, 3g calls sms signal etc.. of your firmware (not H/W)it depends.....
what model of PDA have you?I think for the rom version that you have a DESIRE HD TRUE? maybe not....

its better for improve the rom flash the recommened baseband radio but it depends of your location.
for example @sergio76 (COREDROID DEVELOPER) was developed The rom in the UNITED KINGDOM and he tried the radio that recomends in the UK and works well
but can be possible that for you don´t works well..
you may to try two tipes of radio:
1-- the recommended radio for this rom or...
2--the radio recommended for your phone company and location...
(for example for my i must tu use "orange es" españa)
but i am using the generic gingerbread radio test and works perfectly...
Am i understandable? my english sometimes its a little bit poor

After I have flashed the new radio when I used the wireless feather the download spead would slow down tto 0kbs do. I'm not sure if it was the radio but I need help with it cutting off
