I think it happen when i restart the cruise.
For wap sfr (french operator), http ip is 195.115.25.129 port 8080
same thing for wap and wap sécurisé
But at each restart (not sure at 100% if it happened during the restart), the ip change :
sometimes it's blank
sometimes it's 193.56.241.75
and other starnge value ...
I'd like to know how to keep my http ip : 195.115.25.129 port 8080
I join list of installed programs:

Sorry I cannot helo you, but I have a similar problem. I just can't connect via proxy. I enter the IP and Port, open IE but it can't connect.
When I go to settings again the IP I entered is either deleted or the box (use proxy) is unchecked.
Maybe it's a quite different from my problem
I read and it works for some guys :
modify your proxy and close then go 4 or 5 times into proxy parameters and close.
For some people, it record definetly the parameters.
great works, people from microsoft !
Do you know where WM6 store information about connexions ?
Maybe i can create a application to replace automatically ip and port
Ziggy
It must be somewhere in the registry. You'll need a tool to search the registry for "proxy".
Maybe i found the problem.
It's amazing, the http proxy ip is lost also after a while. I didn't restart the TC.
I found the registry entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\
i found inside the other ip (193.56.241.75) who changed the real ip (195.115.25.129)
Now, i am going to delete entries in registry i don't care.
We will see ...
Ziggy
Hum, i restart and it change my ip entry itself by an other one.
Seems an application do this job.
I continue my search. Problem is not solve
Ziggy
I made a hard reset and the problem is always there.
Proxy parameters for HTTP disappears after a while.
No solution found
Ziggy
I found the problem but i have not the solution.
In my customer office, when i plus the HTC TC to the PC with USB, activesync make synchro and change http ip proxy by the ip public from the pc.
Do you have any idea why activesync change this ?

I used OPENDNS on WM5 for quite a while...when I moved to WM6 I set it up the same way and assumed it worked...it appears I was incorrect. Here are the specifics:
I'm on tmobile with an unlimited internet plan..I do not need a proxy.
I have specified the opendns servers 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 in the 'advanced config" section of the T-mobile GPRS connection which is the only connection other than MMS listed.
Going to http://www.opendns.com/welcome should NOT take me to the http://www.opendns.com/welcome/oops page and tell me I'm not using their service however it does. I went back to wm5 with identical setup (I'm even using the same tmobile config cab file to setup the connection) and verified it does work. I also did the usual soft reset to make sure all settings took etc....
Any ideas?
yes, i have the same problem, with Email push. after 24 hours my ip adress over dyndns is changing, the push service dont know about the ip change..
with other WM5 devices it works well, so i think wm5 release after a specific time the internal DNS list and reload it from a puplic DNS Server again...

Just to clarify...opendns is a public dns server service that provides custom features to folks who use it and in general has much faster dns servers than most isp's or phone providers. It is NOT a dynamic DNS service such as dyndns which gives you a pseudo static name.
OpenDNS works fine for me on my phone over Cingular / AT&T on WM6. I've used it on almost every WM6 rom I've flashed (its built into the WAP Media settings cab I use). I can go to www.opendns.com/welcome via PIE or Opera and I get back the Welcome to OpenDNS page (not the Oops page).
Wonder if this is a T-Mobile issue?

That appears to be the case....in wm5 I was using bluetooth dun and could specify the opendns servers in the config...but with pand it gets them from the phone and the phone ignores them.
I orig. thought it was just me. I tried as well with no success. It probably is a T Mo thing. It will not even let me chage to internet2...keeps me a t wap.
I was happy with the responciveness from the MDA.
Maybe it's tmo way of saying speed will no longer be an issue
Just hoping
When I had the MDA, i had WM6 Rom flashed and the DNS worked?
Is it possible to permanently affect my Wizard's internet connection by over flashing??
I'm having a problem connecting to the internet. It doesn't connect via WiFi whether on an open or WEP network (I'm testing it with 2 routers -- mine and my neighbors). It connects to GPRS just fine as long as I put the right ISP info. But when I try to load a page in IE it comes back with 1 of 2 error messages:
1)
Error 502 - Bad Request
The server could not resolve your request for uri:
2)
Cannot obtain a server-assigned IP address. Try again later or enter an IP address in Network settings.
I was running a custom made vanilla 1413 for the longest time. Then yesterday tried MFrazzz's 1913 and now ANTC's. Between one of those two I am not unable to connect to the internet. I even flashed back to the 2.24 official T-Mo ROM and even with the factory settings it still not working for either GPRS or WiFi. In the past hour I've tried T-Mob official, ANTC 2.0 and XM6R4...all the same problem.
So that virtually eliminates the possibility that it was either a bad radio, corrupted Ext ROM or a bad flash. It definately seems like my Wizard isn't being given an IP address. So that would be a software/ROM/registry problem, right? Well then why is it not working with 3 fresh ROM flashes??
Any suggestions??
If I connect it to my PC via usb/activesync and use the PC's internet connection then it will go ahead and load webpages.
As soon as I disconnect the USB cable then it'll load up the GPRS connection and try to load a webpage and timeout with one of the errors above.
One strange thing I noticed is that when it gives the 502 error it removes the domain from the uri. Example:
Target URI:
http://mobreader.com/proxy.aspx?s=http://test.com...
Response:
Error 502 - Bad Request
The server could not resolve your request for uri: /proxy.aspx?s=http%3A%2F%2Ftest%2Ecom...
seems your proxy is not functioning correctly
reflash with original rom and then this rom you would like
you can also try and delete all connections but i doubt it helps..
I'm on T-Mobile full internet plan, not T-Zones or anything, so no need to set a proxy. Just put in the access point as wap.voicestream.com and it should work.
I've input the data manually as well as tried with the t-mobile wap setting cabs. Doesn't make a difference. Also since these are freshly installed ROMs (including an official T-mobile ROM) there shouldn't be any proxy settings pre-set, right?
yes i am aware of that..
i need to explain myself more , sorry for that..
what i mean is the proxy inside the phone , not the one u setup with t-zones
or any related..
Ok a little update...
I was able to connect via Wifi this morning, it was either
A) Registry changes to HKLM>Comm>TNETWLN1>Params>HTCPreloadStatus to value of "1"
B) Registry change to HKLM>Comm>TNETWLN1>Params>HTCPreloadWifi to value of "1"
The router assigned me an IP address now and fully connected. I'm able to pull up websites now. Sometimes the above registry settings mysteriously change back to "0" value and if that happens then I won't be able to pull up a website. So I know what was causing the WiFi issues.
But still don't know what's the problem with GPRS. Still can't load a website via URL or even IP address. Is there a similiar registry edit that I can make that will restore GPRS connection ability?
Thanks in advance guys.
Hi, I have bought a Samsung I600 Wm5 Smartphone but I have a problem with wifi settings.
My router has no DHCP and want to set manually the ip, the gateway and the dns.
Wm5 Smartphone don't have this settings, it only use dhcp to connect and so i cannot use my private wifi lan.
I have tried many software as Wlanipmanager (good but not save in the registry, it give me error), Wififofum, Wifiprofifiles, Hitchhiker but anyone has correct this bug.
Can you help me?
I want a program that fix this fuction.
In Wm6 Smartphone this bug is fixed? There is a menu to config the ip manually?
Many thanks
you have to enter settings for static ip into registry.
see:
http://www.ppc-welt.info/community/archive/index.php/t-108293.html
is htere the same info but in English
is it possible to use this way of comunication to share a pc folder visible on the smartphone?????????
Just look at this:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\SWLD25SP1\Parms\Tcpip]
"EnableDhcp"=REG_DWORD:0
"IPAddress"=REG_MULTI_SZ:<IP-Adresse für WLAN>
"SubnetMask"=REG_MULTI_SZ:<Subnetmaske>
"DefaultGateway"=REG_MULTI_SZ:<IP-Adresse des Default-Gateways>
"DNS"=REG_MULTI_SZ:<IP-Addresse des DNS-Servers>
"Domain"=REG_SZ:<Standard-Domainname für DNS-Auflösung (ist optional)>
and this is an example:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\SWLD25SP1\Parms\Tcpip]
"EnableDhcp"=0
"IPAddress"="10.5.1.222"
"SubnetMask"="255.255.255.0"
"DefaultGateway"="10.5.1.1"
"DNS"="10.44.33.7"
"Domain"="wasauchimmer.irgendwo.de"
You can use http://ceregeditor.mdsoft.pl/ to edit registry directly from PC.
To be able to change registry you will have to use SDA_ApplicationUnlock (http://www.google.com/search?q=SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe)
>>is it possible to use this way of comunication to share a pc folder visible on the smartphone
Well, it is not so simple, I suppose...Maybe someone else will give more details for this.
ok but:
when i've entered in this registry entry there's no field for IPAdress.
I guess it will apear when the 'enable dhcp field' is set to "0"?
I have a field named PSmode is that the power save mode and will be there very big difference in the signal strenght if i set it to "0"?

Is it possible to make a wifi lan connection with my laptop-to make the phone visible on the my network places on the pc or to view pc folder on the smartphone?
Hi Everyone...
A few days ago I got a really good deal on a AT&T Fuze... I have long had my AT&T branded Tilt/Kaiser and had no problems using it what-so-ever. After playing with it a few days, I have done everything to it from HardSPL to rom to radio..... I have decided on NRG 's Energy.RAPHAEL.21889.StandardM2.5_27.Jan.2010 rom. This rom works great, has the features that I wanted, and looks nice too . I got the full rom which has a network setup that seemed pretty inclusive, but to no suprise, did not have mine, "Einstein Wiress" in wisconsin. I have all the settings it took to make it work on my tilt along with the "instructions" I wrote myself to make it work...
I would really appreciate it if someone who already is using their Touch Pro from Einstein could share the settings, or what I am missing. If you have an idea, please feel free to share it. Here are the "instructions".
Name for connection : EinsteinPCS Internet
access poin name : apn (case sensitive)
Usename : (leave blank)
password: (leave blank)
domain : (leave blank)
...under advanced
Use Server assigned IP address
click ok..
under proxy settings check: "this network connects to the internet"
and "this network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet"
proxy server should be :192.168.254.251
click advanced
http: 192.168.254.251:8080
wap: 192.168.254.251:9201
secure wap: 192.168.254.251:9201
socks (blank)
For MMS... go into MMS Options... goto servers.. set these settings :
Server Name : Einstein Wireless MMS
Gateway : 192.168.254.251
Port # : 9201
Server Address : httP//www.einsteinmms.com\+1(your 10 digit # here)
Connect via : EinsteinPCS Internet
I hope this is enough.. Right now it now it show the "E" for Edge... (Einstein is a GPRS/Edge company, no 3G)// When I try to run a program ir "connects" and shows by the signal strength meter that I am connected... but every program gets nothing.. The weather, QuickGRPS, internet browsing, etc... All of these same programs are confirmed working with WiFi. I made sure everything is set to connect to the internet using "Einstein Wireless"... I have tried both transparent and non-transparent connections (I never had that option before) & I beleive I have tried all 3 of the the 9600 protocals in the advance settings... My tilt was set to chap (like AT&T)... If you have any questions feel free to ask...
Thank you in advance,
Teej
Ok Everyone!
After erasing all the internet settings again for the 5th time... I inputted everything in, made sure that 3G/UPSD options turned off, it seems to be working this time.. No idea what I did diffrent this time than all the others, but it works.. That is what matters... Thank you to all those who offered help via PM or in the forums...

Hi
I had wifi in my office where we could use net without any problem, now proxy server has been set up. I know all the settings but cant figure out how to enter IP Address in my HD7 (Mango) manually to start browsing.
e.g. the proxy server IP is: 192.168.0.1
Now I need to give an IP to the phone myself, say: 192.168.0.69
But the phone is automatically giving itself IP: 192.168.1.xx
This is very annoying as I am unable to sync my mail in the office.
Any help will be highly appreciated
You can edit the WiFi network settings for the particular network, by tapping and holding on it.

Only the server etc. can be edited when proxy is turned on, there is no way to edit my HD7's own IP address
