Just wondering why...
Is there any forum guideline preventing anyone from opening up an ETEN forum within xda-developers.com ?
I'm aiming at getting hold of an X800, hopefully very soon and think these devices are quite good (with the X800 hopefully even better).
Would be nice exchanging experiences and technical stuff with others.
guess the webmaster feel there got to be a limit somewhere
otherwise what about motorole, asus, hp, thoshiba
and everybody else who makes wm phones
there are sites around for all devices i would guess
and if this site got more users because of a wider range
of supported phones
the server the site is hosted on would kneel even more over
and many users would exp timeouts trying to access the forum
it would then require more funding to buy more server juice
Also...this forum predominantly covers devices manufactured by HTC.
I'm just curious, does it involve purchasing expensive software or something? A website like http://forums.hardwarezone.com has a really nice looking forum for mobile phones, but then again it's a site that generates tons of revenue from their magazines and other services, while XDA-Developer's mobile forums looks a little... Lacking.
So, what exactly is needed? Just want to understand a little more on this optimisation thing.
I've done my fair share of Google searching and still haven't found anything great. Figured I'd ask my fellow SR owners.
Since my switch from the i4 the one thing I miss is using the Site toucharcade.com for reviews on games. I still use it daily for my ipad and have been looking for a site similar for our android phones. Haven't found one that's easy to find decent reviews on apps or games. Just top list all over Google.
What sites do you guys use?
Here are few sites I frequent daily, hopefully some of you guys may like.
Lifehacker.com
Redmondpie.com
Toucharcade.com (ipad games)
And just one of my favorite blogs to use:
Theawesomer.com
They get their info from a collective of the major and minor blogs sites so it comes a little later then most. But man its a rad Site to waste some time!
So what do y'all use?

Hello XDA Community! I am not sure if this is the right place for this, but I just thought I'd try asking here first. Anyway, I have been selling cellular devices, tablets, etc. on eBay for the last couple of years and to be honest I have grown quite sick of their policies and their inability to handle fraudulent returns. I was just wondering if anyone else buys/sells cellular devices for a living and have had better luck with a different venue? I know smaller ones exist like Swappa, Amazon, etc. but their policies forbid BAD ESN or broken devices from being sold on their site and I deal with a lot of these too. There's got to be another, better site out there for buying/selling new, used, and broken devices. If you could share I'd appreciate it!
Anyone?
Hey guys. Over the last year I have marveled at the tech products that have been coming out of China. I used to be like most Americans, and labeled a brand junk if it was not a well-known name. After brands like Oppo, OnePlus, and Xiaomi have had such great feedback from customers in the West, I did some research. I was amazed at how affordable great tech could be.
Now recently I have wanted a tablet and have done a lot of web surfing. Ive come across many brands like Teclast, Cube, Onda, Pipo and others. I've watched a lot of videos, I've read forums in Russian and Chinese, and havent been able to make a brand choice. For the price these things go for coming out of China, I know its a risk. And of course I still have my doubts about customer service and warranty concerns.
Just looking for some guidance. Please sharing your experience with one of these or other affordable Chinese brands. Im interested in knowing about customer support (if any), warranty (if any), but most of all reliability and longevity of any Chinese brand youve used. And if you could direct me to vendors, thatd be great too. Right now Im on aliexpress reading feedback reviews for different sellers. All this said, I know its risky going with lesser known China brands...but I wanna test things out. Losing a couple hundred bucks wont kill me.
I figured after seeing how popular Teclast is here, that it may be the choice. But Ive seen praise for other brands as well. I feel a thread like this can help people in the future.
PS - Shout out to Hendrickson for his informative videos. They were a great resource.
24 hr bump
Final bump.
Right now Im leaning towards Onda and Cube because of the numerous issues the Teclast X98 has according to the thread here on XDA. Threads over on Russian and Chinese forums cite the same issues.
Please discuss and vote.
Instead of bumping (check the n00b's guide!) you should go and ask here.

Thanks for the advice...but that thread is centered on mainstream devices. I specifically wanted to discuss Chinese brands. I really wish the Teclast had its own subforum now. Its thread is already huge with over 7000 posts.
