Enable bluetooth on incoming call - Touch Cruise General

I use Tomtom frequently and use a bluetooth headset to handle my phonecalls. However when I use Tomtom, I want to hear the navigation instructions from the phone speaker and not from the headset. When I recieve or make a phonecall: vice versa.
I have come up whit a workaround solution. I use BTtoggle to turn bluetooth on while navigating if I receive a phonecall, takes some time and then anwser the phonecall through the bt headset. And then with alttab back to tomtom, so that I can see the route and calling at the same time. It's not perfect, but it does the job.
I want to have this done automatically by the phone. If I am navigating and a phonecall comes in, then the phone automatically turns on the BT, I answer the phone and tomtom remains on the screen. If i am done with the conversation, bluetooth turns off and i hear the voice from tomtom again through the phone speaker....
Does anybody know how this can be done? I have seen a Palm application which could do the trick...(by the way, it has got the same name as the bt toggle app: BTtoggle)...

Mini s and XDA2i. TomTom, Bluetooth, WMP10 A2DP

OK i have both the xda2i and the mini s, i have only installed the O2 upgrades from them... i have never hacked or modded the units in any way. if i need to i will need complete idiot guides to do so. this is the thing that i have found on here a lot of posts assume you have some knowledge of hacking or reg editing etc. I have none what so ever.
currently i have tomtom 5 on the xda2i with a wired gps. i have been fine with this and a jabra BT205 for car use.
Press the button on the BT205 and i get the tomtom commands in the ear. I can answer calls and use it fine.
The thing it lacks is the voice dial.
I can also get music on the BT205 from WMP10 although very poor quality and listen tomtom5 at the same time.
I got the Mini s as an 'upgrade' on contract. I have used the BT205 0n it and its good, i can press the button and it brings up the voice dial which also works. The keyboard is good for txt etc.
I cant get the audio from wmp to play through the BT205
I have not transfered the tomtom 5 accross as this means i will need to buy a bluetooth gps and a new cradle for in car. also i like the larger screen on the xda 2i
Now this is what i want to be able to do for use on the motorbike.
I want to be able to listen to music at good quality
I want to be able to hear tomtom5 at the same time
I want to be able to make a call without having to take my helmet and gloves off so voice dial
I want to be able to receive calls again without taking off helmet and gloves
When i end a call i want the screen to go back to tomtom and the audio back to tt5 and wmp
Now bluetooth seems like a good idea. I have no problem if i can get a headset, stripping it and mounting it in the helmet with new buttons fitted so i can press just inside the helmet (i am an electronics engineer)
I had looked at using a wired system from the 2.5mm port on the units. but on my tests so far.
XDA2i
running wmp10 and tomtom 5 (tomtom 5 open on the display)
audio from both wmp10 and tt5 fine
making a call
press the green call button on the headphones and the phone opens press again and i can do last number redial, the audio switches from wmp10 and tt5 to the phone
press the red call end button the audio switches back to wmp10 and tt5. the screen back to tt5
receiving a call
audio switches from wmp10 and tt5 to phone ringing.
press green button and answer the call fine.
Press red button, call ends, screen goes back to tt5 audio to tt5 and wmp10.
On the mini s
I dont have tt5 on there so i cant do a full test. but running wmp i get the music through the earphones
press the talk button and the mini s does nothing, no voice dial, no phone screen no last number redial.
incoming call the audio switches from wmp to the phone ringing (very loud could do with a seperate level setting for headphones being used)
press the talk button and chat.
press talk button ends call and wmp audio comes back.
SO out of the two units the xda2i does the most i want to be able to do apart from the voice dial.
the advantage of using bluetooth is no wires to the helmet and only having to connect mini s or xda 2i for power. if i use a bluetooth gps.
the advantage of using a wired unit is at the moment i get the closest to what i want without much messing, i could also build a small audio mixer so i can use the same earphones and mic with rider to pillion or bike to bike radios.
If i go down the route of wired
is it possible to get a good voice dial program for the xda2i that will run when the green call button on the headphone connector is pressed.
is it possible to get the mini s to do the same as the XDA2i but using the voice dial when i press the talk button on the earphones.
If i goto bluetooth can i get a set up for either device to do my wish list??
Will the use of bluetooth gps effect a bluetooth headset.
I have looked at a lot of posts on here and lots have different elements of my problems but i just find each post seems to link to another and another and another.
I have looked at lots and lots of A2DP headsets and bluetooth devices but short of going and spening a lot of money i dont know if my ideas will work.
Thanks for takin the time to read i hope you can help.

At&t Tilt VC 1.6 & Bluetooth

I'm sure you've heard of this issue before but I was unable to find a fix!
I have been using VC1.6 through strictly the device mic / speaker and it has worked great except for some reason it does not announce incoming calls.
Currently using ATT TILT with WM6
Using 520 Plantronics BT Headset
I downloaded "Bluetooth Voice Command Configuration" from XCSdM but it doesn't seem to do anything to help!
When I press the talk/end button on the Headset it enables the bluetooth static but it does not give the VC prompt.
I'd also like it to be able to announce incoming calls through the bluetooth!
Anyone?!
Well, I got the incoming calls to announce!!! Now all I need to do is find out how to get the VC1.6 and my bluetooth synced so that when I press my bluetooth headset button it activates the VC...
Please? LOL
Does your bluetooth headset support the handsfree profile? Not all headsets support the handsfree profile (even if you can use it to pick up and answer calls). I've got VC 1.6 and voice command working just fine with my Tilt and Jabra 8010.
edit: seems your plantronics does support the HFP. Did you ensure you "checked" the box for Hands Free Service when you paired it?
Yes, it's completely paired and the handsfree is checked :-\
I'm stumped. I get incoming call notifications, I get announcement reminders, etc.... but when I push the button on the headset it tries to initiate (or answer) a call.... If I hold it down, it powers off the headset. If I double click it, it calls the last person I talked to.
Maybe I just don't know how to function my headset to get it to prompt for VC?
I followed the "RandyRants" Tip to get everything working and it did activate the announcement of incoming calls, etc... just can't make commands yet.
I'm also using the BT VC Config enabled @ 30 duration.
I'm 1/2 way there!! Now I just need to cross the finish line...
Here's the link yo RandyRants that I followed: http://www.randyrants.com/2007/05/wm6_tip_voice_c.html
Any advice?

no audio on BT

didn't really see a thread....mod's if this needs to be moved, please do so.
I've noticed a quark in the way the Bt audio gateway works on my fuze.
Does NOT matter which headset I use, but, 99% of the time, if someone
calls me, I hear the phone ring, activate the BT, they can hear me, but I
cannot hear them. If I shut the headset off, turn it back on and let it
connect, I can hear them & they can hear me. This ONLY happens on incoming
phone calls. On outgoing, everything works.
When connected, if you look at the BT icon, it shows the BT icon, with what
looks like a STEREO headset. If you click on it, it says connected to a STEREO
headset, which my JB2 or any other BT is not.
Is it possible that the fuse is using the mic, but the sound is being directed to
a non existent "stereo" headset, which would be the other ear?
Happy Thanksgiving! Everyone have a nice Triptophan (sp) nap?
Do you have MSVC set to announce incoming calls? If you do and you answer via the headset, you can't hear the caller. Disable announce incoming and it'll work just fine.
It's a known bug and we need to complain about it (and the rest, like the left/right dpad) to AT&T and HTC.
MSVC set to handle BT, announce incoming.
When I hit the button on the headset, the incoming ring/announcement stops,
the phone says it is connected, and the caller can hear me, but I cannot hear them.
I was wondering if anyone using a NON stereo BT headset, when you are connected, it says if you click on the BT icon, "stereo headset".
Just in case you missed it - you can't have MSVC announce incoming calls OR IT WILL MUTE THE CALLER.
Turn the announce off and it'll be fine until MS/HTC/ATT fix their stinking problem...
oh and don't forget to complain...
Oh, I have complained....never had that problem with the tilt.
I guess I'll go back to just having unique ringtones for everyone, so I can tell
who's calling...until MS fixing the #%@#^ problem. Thanks for the
clarification. This was driving me nuts! They could hear me, but I couldn't
hear anyone.

BT not staying connected when a call comes in?

I noticed recently that I can make a phone call out using my BT headset and MSVC and when it connects, the BT drops the call and my phone becomes the reciever. Annoying when I'm waiting for the call to connect, and the person is already there on the line going "hello?hello?"
I also noticed that when I get a call, sometimes the same thing happens. My phone rings, when I press my headset to answer sometimes, it goes straight to phone.
Sounds like the BT is loosing connection...
Same here. I hear nothing on BT and I bring the phone up to my ear and the person is going "Hello?" "Hellloooo???" It is kind of annoying. I am using a Jabra BT8010 headset.

BLuetooth Please!!!

Ok I am going to ask this question because there are way to many bluetooth programs here and I need to find a specific one.
All I want is for when I turn my headset on and its connected to my phone I want it to transfer the sounds to the headset and pull the microphone from the headset. So when its connected it immediately sends the sound to the headset; Not just in call sounds. I mean all sounds. I am using VITO VOice command so I just need it to send the sound to the headset and pull the microphone form the headset. Also I need it to send teh sound back to the headset after a call as well if a call is happening while using the headset for sound.
Can this be done?
try this

Thanks nir36, I've just tried BTaudio but, unfortunately, it doesn't seem to reconnect the audio gateway after a call ends.
----
What I use is a program called BtMusic (available here: http://maxmobilesoft.com/index.php/software/btmusic). It is shareware, I think, but does pop up a message box when opening the program and every 5 or so times the gateway is established. I believe you can donate to get rid of these prompts, but you'd have to ask the author through that website. It isn't annoying if you don't need to keep reconnecting very often. BtMusic seems to have some advantages:
1. Reconnects automatically after a call ends.
2. Does not need the headset to be turned on before being enabled - it waits for the headset to connect and connects the gateway when it is found (you can therefore leave BtMusic running in the background and just turn on and off the headset as needed!).
3. Supports stereo headsets.
All the best,
Martin
Anybody have any other ideas?
