Database Info

webcam software

I am looking for free software similar to coolcamera (which isnt free) that will let me use my wizard as a webcam. The connection can be either IP or via usb (the way wm5storage masks itself as a usb mass storage device).
Any suggestions?

I don't think there are any. WebcamPlus 1.05 works great on mine. Didn't buy it If you need one email me and I will send you one

The truth is YES.. thats why if you read the announcement on the frontpage.. microsoft is taking down our ROM Archive..
but do you want that to happened? no more sharing of ROMS anymore..?
Sharing warez apps will surely detect us of all software company then they will make actions about this site..

I think what is allowed here is talking about software/roms but not offering to share, providing links, etc. It is likely that if you were to explain how to defeat some copy protection measure that would also be bad (since it is a violation of the DMCA).
The laws do not cover talking about using or tweaking software regardless of where it was obtained, only about copying or cracking 'protected media'. Since ultimately its a legal problem and not a technical one, these laws (which are varied in different jurisdictions) are what sets the line that cannot be crossed.

to the other poster that mentioned getting pissy, I think you read the post wrong, I dont see it as him being pissy, but rather confused as to what is and what is not valid to talk about. The line is somewhat blury for some.

I would like a dropBox app for winMo!!

I use DropBox as the code vault for my Visual Studio apps, so everything I've release on XDA is held on DropBox somewhere! I can't fault it, as I tend to develop in 3 or 4 different places, on different PCs. It's invaluable for that! I'm not sure about a WinMo app for it, but I'll give it a go when it's available.

People just need to ignore the referral link and go to www.dropbox.com for information if they're interested. Or a mod could just edit his link in the opening post.

as i understand, 2gb are for free, if you want more, e.g. 50gb, you have to pay. so its basically a free file storage

Yeah, I'm not sure about that version (1.3) but the newest version (1.9.2) is paid.

Piracy and theft are what they are regardless if it's physical or intellectual property. Most apps are only a few bucks vs the hours it takes to write them. I'm not flaming on you but you should take it down...lots of devs are leaving the forums for things like this. We should keep that in mind.

There was an application called android-torrent which supposedly 'stopped working', personally I never got any of the builds to connect to peers (check out the reported issues).

Thanks Adrian. But you know, it works for me Connects peers as it should, and downloads files without problems.
