How can i restore EXT ROM after BigStorage?

Hi,
a lot of time ago i applied the bigstorage trick to my MDA Compact.
Now i'd like to restore my Magician to its original state (i need to enable ext rom again): how can i do that???
I remember i read somewhere that installing a vanilla-ROM (no bigstorage) over an hacked one can cause a lot of trouble. Is it true?
PLS help me!
Thanks,
Isidoro
Just install any shipped ROM or your origianl backup ROM.

And what about my storage? Is there the possibility i loose my \storage folder at all? (that is: i know that my Storage folder will be decreased in size, but i fear i could loose it at all, some users had this problem if i remeber well). Have you ever heard about it or it is just my imagination?
Bye,
Isidoro
The general rule when re-installing the OS is to first make a backup of your system. So, if you have any important files in Storage then make a backup first.

The problem is not i'm going to loose all my data in \storage. The problem is: am i going to loose the \storage folder itself?
I think i've found a solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=208576&highlight=restore+bigstorage
It seems that i need to copy a few MB of data (8-10 MB) to my \Storage before flashing with a ship-ROM. I'll follow this suggestion and keep my fingers crossed.
Wish me luck! And thanks for your help!!!
Bye bye,
Isidoro
Of course we wish all good luck, I do trust that with this, put >8MB data in Storage, solution it will be fine. Did miss your question, otherwise I would have told you earlier.
Cheers, M

TF3D2 wont load.. backup options?

Hey everyone, so this is the 2nd time my TP2 has had the cprog.exe error, and tf3d 2 wont load. I need to hard reset, but I do not want to lose all my contacts. Is there a file on the phone that contains my contact info? I heard someone mention the pim.vol on another forum but im not sure.
My only method of backup is to copy files to the phones storage card via file manager. I cant get the usb connection to work.
Any suggestions?
