For those of you who already have their Touch Cruise, I'd be interested to hear about how the screen protector sits on the screen. The pictures seem to show a flush face, which might make the screen protector look a bit odd and also come off much easier.
I have also seen some posts indicating the screen itself if a little different than the traditional touch screens to support the touchflo interface. Does that have any effect on the screen protector?
Thanks!

The screen protector is not the regular rectangular shape so it is not odd! It is cut to fit the contours of the whole front, minus the silver buttons area. Has cutouts for the camera and the earpiece area. You wont notice it is there if you allign it well. Make sure you sprinkle some water on the protector adhesive surface, and the device screen itself (careful here!) so that you can adjust the position, and then "scrape"out the excess water. Any trapped droplet will evaporate with time
1) Does the screen protector come with the package?
2) Now that your screen protector is flushed with the device surface, do you think it will come off from the edges if you were to slide it in and out of your pocket (or leather pouch)? Coz I have this Sony T-100 cam with a flushed screen surface and boy.. the protector came off very badly as I slide it in and out of the pouch.
Thanks!

Well david, the screen protector fits almost perfect over the full surface screen area of the phone. You will not even be able to realize it,but for sure you'll find an only small problem, just around the lens of the camera.....take a view of it.

Even if you try your best to fit it better than i did, you will never get the circle of the stick with the circle of the cam. I don't think is a real problem.
Here you can see how the sticker fits at the lower side of my phone, just perfect.

Hello All,
Can anyone suggest where can we get screen protectors for HTC touch cruise. I mean the protecter should cover not only the display but also the camera and notifications led's???
You should have 1 or 2 in the box. And you don't want it to cover the camera. The picture/video quality would be poor.

I had only one in the box and when i am trying to apply it, it didnt go of well. So, I want to remove it and apply a new one. Screen protector i am having which came in the HTC box, leaves holes for camera and notification led. Why we need to cover entire display is when we use the touch cube functioanility often ur fingers slips and it leaves finger spots there....
In the german forum they discuss about the same problem... nearly everybody is waiting for screen protectors from "BRANDO" They don't cover only the screen.

I second that! I have had BRANDO protectors on nearly all my PDAs and they NEVER got scratched on the screen or anything. The protectors are not cheap but worth it!
Brando replied to me they are going to ship the Cruise protectors within 2 weeks. So let's wait and see.
I'm in the same condition... I'm waiting Brando screen protector, it's the best!
I never owned a ppc before... For my TC is nothing too expensive Only the best.
a piece of plastic a small distant from the lense would work as
the evil opposite of another lense killing focus
if you didnt apply it ok then redo it, i took mine out like 3 times untill i installed it correctly, i washed it with soap to clear dust and stuff and re-applied, worked like a charm
I bought a protector from Veripart together with the Polaris. It has a cutout for the speaker on the top but not one for the camera, but it is so clear that it does not interfere with the camera (not visibly anyhow). I tried a photo before applying the protector and after under the same circumstances and I did not find any differences. Besides that it makes the lens easier to clean because it is now flush with the rest of the screen. I like it very much. I never use the supplied protectors with my phones. If you ever tried a Brando or a Veripart then you will know why ;-) . The protector covers the whole of the front of the phone, right until the edges of the device.

FYI, these do not cover the entire faceplate of the Polaris. They are just standard protectors (and not very good ones at that) sized to the touch screen.

I've been using the protector that came with the phone and I find that unless I keep it clean, the touch experience is not so great. Sometimes hard to get a smooth swipe. The glass on the screen however works well even when smudged. Is there a protector out there that works better? If not, I'm going bareback.

The screen protector that came in my package with the TC covers the whole dark-grey area above the soft buttons, and has a cut for the phone and the camera. Wiping is super easy, and cleaning too. I don't know what you guys are talking about

best friend for HTC Touch Diamond
InvisibleShield eh? I had bad experience from using it on my Cruise. Don't get me wrong, it is a very good protection for your device but if your device is made with the paint coating on the outside, it may take apart the coating when you take off the shield. On my Cruise, some of the gray silverish area around the screen was gone. Not sure about Diamond but I dont intend to find out myself.

Screen protector
I have one on pre order but until I decide whether I wanna take the chance I plan to use the full front screen protector by Martin Shields along with the official HTC case (well until any better third party solutions come along).
Martin Shields seems to get good reviews and I can confirm that it is amazingly clear.
Invisible Shield
Well.. I use it on my universal and ordered for the diamond yesterday... I have to say that I am in love with the Invisible shield range! Bearing in mind that this phone IS a fingerprint magnet, i dont really want to use a case if i dont have to! I stopped using a case for my Uni about 3 days after having the shield...
It will be interesting to see what kind of solution they provide for the back though!
Will the invisible shield make the device NOT a fingerprint magnet?
In that case, would it be nice if I used it for the rear only? Any sudden change is colour, etc?
Coz I'll actually plan to use clear G-mask (thats what we call it here in SG) for the rear. That surface isn't a fingerprint magnet.
As for screen protector, looks like MF is already available for the diamond!

Well.. I can only speak for my UNI, however.. They are extremely easy to keep clean, and I have NO colour difference. Havnt tried it on a black device though! I am going to apply it when i recieve it, and then post some photos for people to have a look!
I will definately use the full body version.. i have a ´couple of "nasty" marks on the one protecting my uni, mainly because it fell open screen onto some rocks at the beach, and went clatter clatter clatter.... You know one of those moments that you stand there shocked and tell yourself that you are going to have to find a new screen??
Picked it up, and there were a couple of light scratches on teh screen protector.. but thats it!
Because it distributes any impacts across its whole surface, it really does help protect the screen / phone VERY well.

Damage to coating?
Does removing the invisibleshield damage any coating on the machine (most notably on the front screen) like they do on the cruise? If so, that's a big no no.......
They said "no".
oooh.. It arrived..
Have to say....
Its not bad.. but really not great!
Its a 5 piece jobbie.. 1 piece for the entire back, one piece for the front screen (including folds for the top, and sides!), one piece for the buttons at the bottom of the face, and 2 fiddly bits for the bottom next to the USB jack.
Problems so far are that the round action button is NOT cut out, so it "floats" above. It may stick after time though!
And its worse that the damn IPhone to apply!
After 4 attempts, and about an hour I gave up... I restuck it to the pieces of paper, and will try again tomorrow!
Can someone post pics for this please?
I really want to see how they managed to make one for the back of the Dia
Well - just to compare it with the experience I had with the iPod touch:
Never ever a InvisibleSHIELD again.
Not the quality, I managed to get i on top without any bubbles, but the haptic is bad. Also the over all appearance neither I nor my friends like.
The second iPod Touch I protected with the anti-glare foil from the Apple Store (don't remember the name). Frankly, that is much nicer (front), but not for the back site...
Hope anyone will produce s.th. combined: a self gluing anti-glare front protection foil, together with an InvisibleSHIELD like back.
Any suggestions where to find such?
i have the one that comes in the box on mine it has alread picked up qite a few scratches, The guy i bought it from gave me a free spare screen protector from the brand 'MOMAX' direct from japan, seems good, i will probably try that l8r. but Martin Fields screen protectors are by far the best ones IMO! THANKS!!!
I wanted to see how it looked like so badly.
Please let us know how easy it was applying the shield to the back.
I'm rather curious how it would work out because of the angled area :S
Any possible chance of some photos of the InvisibleShield on the Touch Diamond? I'm very curious to see how it manages to stick to the angled areas of the back too.
I think the InvisibleSHIELD is great I have installed 4 of these things and each time has been relatively painless just have a steady hand and abit of perseverance.
its seems there a far more tempered glass with halo issues then without them. i feel like i lucked out with a steal of a price. i am no photographer by anymeans nor do i own a macro lens. ill do my best to get the shots off.
i did however get a few bubbles(?) by the home button. overall very pleased.

Right now, there are three types of glass out there.
1) Flat glass cut to the size of the screen. Since the edges of the screen are rounded, the edges of the glass don't adhere. This produces what people call a "halo" effect, because the part of the glass not sticking will appear white, creating a white ring around the outside of your screen.
2) Flat glass cut to fit only on the flat part of the screen. It stops before it reaches the curvature of the screen, and therefore doesn't extend to the edges. In my opinion, it looks bad, I'd be constantly scraping my finger along the edge, and it's not even protecting my entire front of my phone, so what's the point?
3) Curved glass cut to fit the entire front of the phone, edge-to-edge. There aren't many of these out there and reviews are really just trickling in. I started a thread for discussion of them, but no content as of yet. I'm hoping that the glass makers will wise up and go this way.
So 2.5d means it should cover the whole screen edge to edge? Haven't managed to find any like this yet

2.5d means that the edge of the screen protector has a curve to it. This makes the glass screen protector less prone to nicks and cracking.

I think it's how its applied. I bought a pair, I forgot what brand but I bought one for my girl and 2 came in the package. I put hers on first and there's the halo around the edges, but I put mine on and there's none to be seen.
purchased from eBay: $12.99 | took about 2 weeks to arrive from China
i was excited to install this screen protector, but that excitement quickly soured into disappointment.
the packaging was nice. the outer package was made of very think and stiff paper. the sp itself was in its out paper bag. all the other stuff was in another sealed paper bag.
as you can see from the pics, there appears to be a concave spot in the upper right that just would not stick, no matter what i tried. it was not an air bubble. i squeeze all the air from the center out, but that area never adhered. also, none of the edges adhered either. it appears that the screen protector is warped.
i did buy one of the first ones that showed up on ebay, so it may be from an early bad batch. i contacted the seller about this issue and i'll update when they reply.
needless to say, i do NOT recommend this sp.
Nillkin makes an identical-looking glass screen protector. has anyone tried theirs?
Update 1 (4/27): the seller said they're sending me a replacement today. i'll update in about 2 weeks.
also, the giant anomaly/air bubble in the upper right corner seems to have disappeared overnight. unfortunately, the bottom right edge of the screen seems to have lifted up more (new pic below). with the screen on, it's actually not that bad. it appears as a slight haze at the corners. still, i'm not happy with the SP. hopefully the replacement won't have this problem.

Update 2 (5/17):
I got the replacement this week. Unfortunately, it's more of the same. The SP just doesn't want to stick to the sides. Oh well ... At least with the screen on, you can barely tell. I guess I'm used to it by now. I still wouldn't recommend this SP.

aside from the "air bubble" how are the edges? does it fully stick to the S6 screen edges since they curve? it looks great other than the bubbles and also i'm certain Nilkin uses the same product just branded for them
Unless if I'm looking at it incorrectly, it seems that the home button is not a perfect fit on there..... Or is that just the angle?

no, at least not all the way around. look at the new pic i uploaded. notice at the corners where there are light spots (circled in red or blue). that's where the SP doesn't adhere to the screen.
i checked before installation and there was adhesive even in the colored parts of the SP. this wasn't the case in their versions for the iPhone, which eventually led to dirt getting under the sides and the SP lifting.

the cutout is precise and slightly bigger than the home button. but since the SP is thicker, the home button is now slightly recessed (refer to the new pic). it's a little different feeling at first, but you quickly get used to it. it also doesn't affect the fingerprint scanning function.

Just installed this screen protector. Pretty pleased with the results. It stuck right up to the edges.
My Spigen case caused a bit of a problem though. It lifted up the edges of protector and caused halo effect. Resolved the problem by sanding down the inside edge of the case by a fraction of a millimeter.
Is this oeleophobic? I got a decent protector without this coating and I hate it.

I'm not sure. I got it off ebay and the product info given by the seller said it is. However I couldn't see anything on the product itself when it arrived to confirm this. I've never found that oeleophobic screens work very well anyway.

Which one is that?
It's the Capsule Ultra Rugged
I have the one from Nillkin, but I didn't buy it from ebay, I got it from a local retailer. I have no problems with it.
And yes, it looks the same as the one reviewed here. But maybe at the time the OP of this thread bought these protectors they were like just introduced, maybe in the begining all of them had this problem. After all, after some months, the accesories are very diversified and you can choose a fair amount of brands.

I mean which tempered glass do you use?
It's the Benks 9H Full Cover Curved Tempered Glass Screen Protector. Got it off eBay
Okay here goes.... This is my first ever review on........anywhere for anything...
Before I begin, let me say that I don't like to spend a lot of money when it comes to cases or any other protection for my phones....I have 1 transparent TPU case for my phone... 1 tempered glass... and just recently I ordered a DBrand Skin for the back of my phone...
I initially bought the phone when it was launched, the phone came with an original screen protector (center only, not edge to edge) stuck on it, but I'm not a very big fan of screen protectors. Despite my itchy fingers wanting to remove it I let it be, and in the meanwhile, I had ordered a curved tempered glass from Ali Express. Thinking to myself that no way this will be curved and it will be like how most of the tempered glass are for curved screens but I still decided to waste my on it...
Incidentally a couple of days prior to the delivery I had to return the device for replacements so I kept it aside once delivered. A couple of days back I got my "safe" Note7 and the original screen protector was not stuck properly, there was dust particle bubbles and it was not in the center. So I thought I would finally get a chance to "unbox" the curved tempered glass (if there was such a thing). And to my amazement it was CURVED!
This is what the box looks like....

As you can see the tempered glass covers almost 98% of the screen which with my case makes it almost seamless protection. The home button hides away insides due to the thickness of the glass.
The cut outs for the camera, speakers, iris scanner and the home button is exact so there has to be no room for error. Also, something that I didn't like, the adhesive is only in the center of the tempered glass so the edges and curves look like they are peeling off but that's how it is...
Now I have been using the tempered glass for a couple of days now. And I have realized that the screens sensitivity has gone for a toss especially with the keyboard. I don't know why but I haven't notice the sensitivity issues when playing games but while using the stylus and the keyboard it is greatly affected. At first I thought it might be Samsung's default keyboard so I installed Google Keyboard and the issues still persisted. SO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED....
Overall, I am surprised that it is a curved screen but I am going to remove it because of the sensitivity issues.
Is there any "rainbow effect" when you press screen?

No there isn't.... but i removed it and the adhesive is only on the edges and not on the complete glass as I previously thought it would be.

ALL screens without adhesive will have a loss of touch sensitivity. There is a layer of air in between the glass and the screen. With nothing between your touch and the screen, of course your touches will not be registered unless you press hard on it. Worse yet, the glass is touching some parts of the screen (rainbow effect) and messing up touch accuracy
There is no solution for this right now except for some non-full coverage glass protectors, but they look so awful. I have been using it without a protector for about 2 weeks now. I treat my phone with utmost care and only put it in my pocket and nothing else goes in this pocket. There is a very faint scratch on it. It requires very accurate lighting and concentration to look for it but it's there. It is probably not a scratch on the glass but the oleophobic coating, but a scratch is a scratch. But I just can't bring myself to use these subpar screen protectors that lowers the screen quality so much
After trying and regretting 2 glass supposedly full coverage protectors, I ended with Samsung's original film protector. It certainly does not sacrifice touch sensitivity, and is the closest to bare glass I've found.
