Good lord, tony. Don't you do a reading of the forum topics before you post questions? There's already 3 pages of responses here. You want to restart the same topic? Find the different ROMS; read what the users have said about it; and do your own testing. Every developer works hard on their ROM. I for one am not going to diss one developed ROM over another. Each one has it's strengths; each one has it's faults. If you want to get into the custom ROM upgrade business, you will have to take some initiative of your own.

Thanks for the reply.
All I was asking was for peoples opinions on which ROM they thought was the most stable. Not to diss one over the other. To be honest I can't be arsed reading through 3 pages of responses about problems. I just wanted a few recommendations to save me having to load ROM after ROM finding the best one is the last one I try and the one that someone may recommend here.... saving me time.

Don't get me wrong, i'm sure they all work great. I was just after some opinions. I'm not here to wind people up.
I guess i will just have to try them all.
i like the perfect english one best.
Nitro's, EA's (Chinese, but it has English) and VJGrace's are the most current and developed builds.
They are all based on the most current build (or is it kernal?) of WM6. They climbed up on the sholders of some internet giant (or giants?) referred to as Shark, and modified that ROM and even versions of each others ROM (vjgraces appears to be the current cumlination of all the best that Nitro and EA had to offer.
Nitro will soon take Shark's newest build (updated I presume to MS' most current improvements) and vj's wonderful imporvements, throw in an inspired dash of his own ideas and make a ROM so good your phone will sneer with contempt at other people's phones.

EA's ROM is extremely stable and worth using. Newer doesn't always mean better, and if you need Chinese language, the one I've linked to is the best.
Having said that, EA's ROM is based off Nitrogenous' ROM. vjgrace's ROM is based off EA's ROM with significant improvements.
If you don't need Chinese support, vjgrace's ROM is in a sticky thread at the top of the forum.

Hi there, I'm still with a pdaviet3, and I wonder what was the best rom avaible ? I'm a little bit confused because there is a lot of rom avaible now !

I'm partial to Crossbow Reloaded v1.5
I think all the newer WM6 roms are very good and so much more stable and dependable than the early releases. So find one that fits your needs and go for it
10.2.0.8 NBD (Not Big Deal) WWE - v5.3
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299821
I've tried most of the ROM's. I like this one the best, it's the one I always go back to after trying the latest from others.
For me Wizard Moblie 6 Business Edition v.2 is the fastest, most stable and bug-free. Only thing bothering me is amount of memory, ~24 Mb free ram, after installing favourite programs and plugins.
In fact, You said that the main differences between them, is about the "package s bundle" and some tweaks !
Difficult to make a choice, maybe I'll look for cooking my own rom but I'm pretty sure that my wife will disagree
I'll wait for a most representative poll result (maybe a little week, I dunno)
You really take care of a poll??
Sorry - but what if teh poll brings you to a rom - you don´t like because full with stuff you don´t need?
Or it leads to a clean one and you have to install everything on your own.
Believe me - try them.
No ROM is made for one person especially and they ALL have pros and cons.
BUT they are all desingned by the best Romcookers in this Forum.
Btw: Thanks for all this great versions.
Find your way.
mUn_BR_4.0.0.0 is a base rom and i don't suggest it for first timers.

I 2nd this, I am cooking my own rom, as it is surted to what i would like. It is better to use the kithen and cook your own Rom. There is now a tool that will take any rom dump and put everything in to folders for you. So its a case now, that you can take any Rom and play with it with out problems. So the NOOB can become the all loved Chef if he wants!!!
COOK YOUR OWN ROM, IT'S SO MUCH BETTER
Have it how you want, not how the chef wants.
Its easier then you think!
UNDERGRUND for me, after having tried them all
Cheers
i think its blackdiamand 3.0 but its everyone for its self

I simply had it with all these "which rom is the best" polls.
Try a few and stick to the one you like. Don't let mr X and mr Y to tell you what you want. You can make that choice by yourself.
Read the ROM thread, see what applications has inside and try the ones that you think are more suitable to your needs. Plus that there are countless threads like this one out there.
I consider it spam or at least "let's give the chefs a reason to fight over this."
If anyone has a problem with me closing this thread, please pm me and maybe we can discuss it further.
Hi guys,
there's a gazillion Roms wm6 floating around here. Which one is the best? And why are there 4 people working on different roms instead of cooperating in 1 super rom?

Here is what you do:
1) Put aside a couple of weeks to test the various ROMs (yes - you can still goto work, school, etc)
2) Make sure you continue your usual routine with the phone (test charging, PIE, your BT headset, etc)
3) Decide which ROM is the best, then go back to that one
Simple fact of the matter is that each ROM has different characteristics (pros and cons) - some people require somethings, others don't - so there is no "best ROM". Also, each Universal (believe it or not) appears to have its own little quirks, so while it may appear to be "excellent" for one person, for another is crashes constantly.
And finally, when you have decided what you like - you can post back here with your results...
Happy testing!
Edit:
Just thought I might add - the reason that all of the ROM developers don't "work together" is that competition promotes innovation (think of how M$ 'monopoly' on OS's has caused windows to stagnate, but the Linux distros fighting against each other has lead to massive innovations). So long as the developers share information and tricks, then they can try to make better ROMs that each other, and yet still progress the community as a whole (consider how Ivan's new build and Helmi's original ROM have permitted people like Midget to create new ROMs that (may be) better than the original)
Well said TehPenguin.. very well said.
One more thing.. the latest isn't always the best.

My bad...
My point still stands, so long as the developers communicate with each other and share information, while still remaining competitive, then the community thrives.

If you are talking about hermes ROMs, then, you may be right, but, if you are talking about universal, then, there are not more than 10-15 ROMs(for wm6)
Lets me re-frase my question: which room would you say is with least errors?
here is your answer, set aside a few hours, install the latest ones and decide which one you like the most.
there is no 'best' rom, only those that suit your tastes/needs more.

best rom is PDAVIET 2.10.11 ROM, with Radio 1.18 ... and it is the only ROM I've tried ;-)
Best WM5 ROM is the official WM5 ROM.
Best WM6 ROM depends on your preference. No ROM has the "least Errors/Bugs". They have the same amount of Errors/bugs. If you don't believe me, try them all.
Once you're done, you are no longer a n00b. And you are no longer new in this "Business". You are now out of what you thought was xda-noobies. Welcome to xda-developers.

this is the best rom in my experience! I had installed all WM6 Rom. like hermes, PDA VIET... event with some rom of Ivan! But this rom is very stable, ram recovering well after using some software, especially when log in internet through wifi! May be with my device is the best but I think you should try it first to save your time!

It's not because your noob that you don't have to read : quite to the contrary ... you should read more than everyone...Being a noob is not a good excuse !!
I've tried certainly all wm6 released on universal. Each rom have advantage and inconvenient...
The best way is to test it yourself !
In my case i've stopped on leo's Rom because i like his kitchen base !

Wow, I can see you have that British sense of humor, well known in WHOLE WORLD.....
Do you find it hard to comprehend, these ROMs are home brew, the people using them are techie people that like messing with these things, and different tastes suit different people.
Why do you think so much variety exists in everything in life? It's because different people come to different conclusions.
It's why there are so many damn versions of linux.

Hey,
There are a lot of us Brits on this forum, not a wise move from someone asking for help.
We were all "noobs" once, the best way to deal with your issues is read the damn threads, and when you still don't find any answers ask "POLITELY" for assistance.
We are all here to help each other, and we will help, but please abide by the rules (You may have failed to read those too!!) and try to be polite.
None of us here make any financial gain from what we do, and the help and knowledge that we pass on is free of charge.
So have a little respect and expect to be criticised if you can't bother to learn by a little reading.

Hello,
Since there are so many ROMS out there and some dated as far as last year, can anyone give me advice on the fastest available ROM with least pork fat in it?
For example my only use for the Kaiser is Exchange email and web browsing nothing else. I make calls, SMS etc from my iPhone and only use this phone for exchange email. So with this in mind what advice can you guys give me as to the fastest ROM available for this?
I currently have Duttys ROM of March 8th.
Much appreciated.
Why not check out the other thousand threads that asked the same question

I think Alex's is fast, so is Blackwood, Dutty, Panosha, Q-Mobile, Schaps, Sleuth, Vega etc, etc.
Do you know how I know this? Because I tried them all - instead of posting useless duplicate threads because I'm too damn lazy to do the work myself or my time is more valuable than yours etc.
Or, here's a tip, how about doing a search for some of the benchmarks which have been posted?
Why do people have the need to ask and not search?

As a matter of fact: I DID test your 3.03 ROM. Compared to others it wasn't that superfast, at least: according to SPB Benchmark. But than again: this test doesn't seem to be very reliable for WM 6.1.
Will also test your new ROM (OR WAS THAT A JOKE???)

Too much *****ing
This is a forum. People should be allowed to ask questions and ask the opinions of others. Some people are far to eager to do others down.
There are new ROMs coming out all the time. I have tried at least 20 since Christmas.
If he had done a search to find an answer to his question it probably would not have any relevant answers.
It is a perfectly valid question and as a member of this forum I for one do not mind answering it.
In my opinion . . . there is not much to choose between all of the 6.1 ROMs for speed. However, if you are not looking for all the whistles and bells that the Kaiser can offer, go for a Lite ROM. Certainly go for one without the Cube. If you ever intend to use video calling, go for the latest Dutty 6.1 ROM.
There, that wasn't too painful and hopefully I helped someone who asked a valid question in a public forum.

@cgjones - I agree there is too much bashing in the forum. My momma always told me that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
That being said....while this is a valid question to ask (what is the fastest ROM), it has been asked before...and not just once or twice.
This thread could have been easily avoided, or at least made a little more specific, by doing a simple search.
@raaj - use the search feature (the Google one, not the built in forum search) and type in "Kaiser fastest ROM" and you will find lots of threads, opinions, etc.

Thank You cgjones. There are too many smartasses around that post just to get their post count up and with egos I might add. For all you smartasses or rather asses I should say I have done searches but notice I ask for some particulars that would suit my needs? A search doesnt bring answers to my questions hence my question and opinions in the first place. There are FAST ROMS and there are even fast ROMS without all the junk. Thats what I wanted to know rather than do a search of the hundreds of threads here which I might add are confusing.

Before the flames start (and I believe they will - this question is asked too frequently), let me give you my take on this...It's like asking which flavor of ice cream is your favorite. You'll get dozens of different answers and none of them will be right and none will be wrong. Which is best for your purposes? If it's not stable, it doesn't stay around long and you'll know it by responses in the threads. There are several on the front page because they stay on the front page because people are using them and asking/responding to questions.
Spend some time in the ROM's thread determining if it meets your general needs. Then try it out for several days. If it doesn't work for you...try something else. That's how many of us got to things.
FWIW - I use HyperDragon and love it.

The answer is MBV Solace V.1.5 and soon the much faster Solace 2 which is in beta RC11 right now! You're gonna love it!
instead of these threads that just take up space. We should just have a simple poll that should be displayed so that everyone will have their answer.
a new thread shouldnt have even been started for this question! i've seen threads before asking this and the mods closed them! but the best annswer is test out several and then decide and before you ever start a new thread know the rules about starting one first!

I always wanted a poll when I was new to this forum...someone really should set one up
Problem is the answer changes from some people daily.
I like most of the cocked roms around here, try a few yourself, they don't hurt to try.

I ve been browsing the ROMs but please advice which one is very stable and offers good/some/any video/responsiveness improvement over the original HTC ROM.
I have unlocked Kaiser II from T-mobile in the UK.

I've tried several now, I'd say the one I'm using now is an awesome choice and you should give it a try. Just click the 'link' in my signature below, and let the joy begin.
I agree with the general consensus.... I've been through Hyperdragon, NATF, DK8, etc, and quite a few others. You need to decide for yourself which one is best, or build your own with all the options out there. Only you know exactly what you want.
I personally like Hyperdragon, and have literally a DVD full of software for it. I don't necessarily like the TF2 or TF3 as my needs go elsewhere.
I have taken suggestions from all the threads and am working on a ROM based on what I need. Speed & audio are very important to me. Photos and Videos- Not so much
Thank You for listening

I use Solace, but i'm on RC7 and it has some quirks. Going to try 13 later and see what happens.
Also, In before lock.

Romeos and now eOS4.888 FiRe
I've tried the a lot of the oldest ROMEOS (since 3. something) and now the -888- eOS 4.888 FiRe and I am pretty happy with it and Manilla 2D. It is VERY fast and has a great reliability. Highly recommended.
For the reasons already stated my other members, this thread is officially closed.
