i recently got a Samsung i600 and i noticed that the "Contacts" App has no option to hide SIM Contacts (i had a HTC Wizard with WM6 Pro before that did this).
Does anyone know a way to do this?
As I recall this is located in the Settings application. For some reason there are hacks to turn it off directly in the registry as well.

Upgraded my T-Mobile MDA Compact III to artemis_touch_2.1_WWE.n
(had issues tho, had to use 2.0 to unlock it, and 2.1 for the software, but now works great)
However, i cant see how to access the full list of my contacts on my SIMM card.
Only shows the Phone contacts (which is empty)
If i begin to type out a phone number, my simm contacts appear.....is there anyway to migrate them across, or to tell the OS to use that as the main contacts list?

Seems you are in the wrong forum my friend any ways search around in the wiki there is a tweak to show sim contacts or search the forums for the cab file by the name of Default_Show SimContacts or somwthing like that.This will make visible your sim contacts too.

One thing that has always bugged me in Windows Mobile is the fact that "Remove Programs" isn't sorted alphabetically. Instead it is sorted by the order you have installed programs. If you ever restore from SPB Backup it then inverts this order as well.
Is there any registry settings or hack that can be done to sort this list alphabetically by default?

Currently I am seeing the contacts from the SIM as well the contacts from Outlook, is there any way I could see only the Outlook contacts?

Normally only way is to delete contacts from SIM.
Not sure it's such case with TC...
You can switch this option on/off using "Schap's advanced configuration tool". (and alot of other settings)
edit: "search" and "google" are your friends
Please do say more about the Schap tool ...
i would also like to know! SIM contacts with outlooks ones get annoying, especially when searching
Go to Hkey_Current_user\Control Panel\Phone\ShowSim. Set the value to 0 to disable, 1 to enable.
Alternative key
navigate to HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone
locate DWORD value named "ShowSim"
set its value to 0

Hi,
I've tryed to hide the sim contact, but with no success: I change the registry-key (with Schap's tool and manually too), but when I soft-reset the divice the default value (1) is restored.
Other change in the registry work properly...
Where is the problem?
Is there a way to delete duplicate contacts ? I hate when i sync my polaris on a pc that i never synced before and it copies the contacts onto outlook and it copies them back as a duplicate.
BTW : Its not an option to delete em manually, since i have over 500 contacts.

You can also use SKTools for this. Removes duplicate contracts, appointments etc etc. A great tool with lots of other options.

where exactly can you do that ? i cant find a way in deleting duplicate contacts as of yet

The attached cab file will get rid of duplicates in contacts as will Schaps configuration tool, both are free.

Found a solution and a great tool it would seem:
It's true, I found the Schaps Advanced configuration tool (works w/wm6.1.) It has the SIM option and many more cool options.

I just came from the Tilt and on the Tilt you can store SIM contacts and not show on your regular contacts.
On my Fuze, it shows both...how do I hide the SIM contacts so it doesnt show on the main contact folder?
I'm also interested if there is a way to do this.

Use the software name "Diamond Tweak"... there is an option for this
If you don't want to install the program, try this
Hide SIM Contacts: HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone - create a new DWORD value named "ShowSim" and set it to 0
