Australian ROM, anyone got it to upload?

I believe that "3" in Australia is selling the TYTN2 with there version of the ROM.
Has anyone on this forum got this? Can you dump it and upload it for us?
My issue is that I cannot get TYTN 2 in the UK on "3" network to run Live Messenger. Everything else works perfectly with HSDPA too.
Anyone been successful in getting it to work on 3?

I have Australian Rom HTC TyTN II on 3 service provider.
But don't know how to dump rom then upload.
But i'm willing to help.

Are you sure it is suppose to work?
Some networks will disable instant messenger type applications or charge you a lot more in data to use them.
Maybe worth checking on if should be working on your particular package. If internet works all okay and Messenger isn't it is probably being blocked.

Hi, yes Phil, it seems to be a three specific version of Messenger as any phone bought from 3 has unlimited messenger access, whether on prepay or postpay.
My problem is that my TYTNII was bought from HTC, and so hasn't got a "3" version of the ROM. So my idea is to check out the Ozzie ROM with aview to building my own "3" ROM for the UK.

Unfortunately Messenger isn't unlimited on the TyTN II on Three in Australia. This is the same for all WM devices on the 3 network here. So it's no special client for the 3 network by any means. Skype is though!

Backlight in VoiceMail Calls
Has anyone noticed this phone turns the backlight off when calling voicemail? I have a friend with the phone and she has tried everything with the phone settings and has had no success.
I even gave her the Modaco lock patch as the symptoms were close although not similar. As the problem is with the type of call she had no luck.

Can a Treo 750 be used on 3?

I would like to use a treo 750 on 3 (in the uk), as they have some great data tarrifs.

i use the palm treo on three and it works fine not got the hang of using planet three but ll setting worked from inserting my sim card, realy nice phone and very stable for me, but im looking to use a cooked rom but cant decide which is best for three network and would love to be able to backup my phones rom so i can just replace the rom i i dont like the new one
but all in all m8 this phone works well on 3 Uk

I am using a Treo 750 with a 3 PAYG sim, and have added the mobile broadband addon, and I am well impressed!!! Why 3 dont sell this as a package is beyond me.
Still getting used to pocket PC, but likingit so far.

Yes their pay & go tariffs are great! Specially the internet monthly add on for only a fiver and your credits doesn't expire until you have used it all. My only gripe on the treo 750 is it doesn't automatically dissconnect the data connection after pocket outlook pulls my emails.

Treo 750v on 3 uk problem

Hi Guys, just want a bit of help. Last week I started to have problems with my Treo 750v. Had it for about 4 months and it was originally on Vodafone uk. I unlocked it since and upgraded to WM6. Im using Three UK and it was working fine. Suddenly I lost my signal and can't get my 3 sim to work. I installed different roms and radio roms and still not working.
I tried to use the 3 stage tero unlocking software and I couldnt get pass the 2nd stage, it always give me errors. (I have net framework 2 installed)
Im having a hard time looking for Roms and had no success in changing the radio rom.
I tried a vodafone sim and it got some signal but when I tried to call, it wouldn't let me. It just gave 3 beeps and then hanged up.
I dont know what to do anymore. Any advise is appreciated.

While it worked fine ware u able to use Three Features ig. Free Windows Live messenger, Mobile TV, Skype etc. did it all work as it shuld (integrated with three network price plans ?) r u on PayAsUGo ?

Yes but i never tried to watch tv on it. I was able to surf the internet and download my emails via pop 3. I'm using pay as you go with £5 internet monthly add on.
I have updated my radio rom and installed new rom and still cant get it to work again. Does anyone here who uses windows mobile device on three uk network experience any problems? I'm thinking of getting a new WM device again.

Treo 750 and Tmobile usa, NO Edge connection??

Hey everyone.. as usual im having a problem. I have tmobile in the usa and my internet is ALWAYS horribly slow. Its only on GPRS and its just horrible slow. I never got and never do get an Edge connection. Im using the first windows mobile 6.1 that came out. Does the problem have anything to do with the windows os or the band selection? I tried changing the band but its a no go from what i see. How can i get this to work correctly and connected on edge?.. Also does tmobile usa 3g work on this phone? I always appreciate everyones answers! thank you so much for the help!

I fixed the problem:: I downgraded to the Row 2.27 unbranded rom and the rom had Edge. Now my phone is running much faster online the way it should =-)

I'm planning on upgrading to 6.1 on T-Mobile as well, could you point out where you got ROW 2.27 from.
EDIT: Nevermind, 2.27 is 6.0 but I want 6.1. So you say 6.1 is worse than 6.0 for EDGE?

The 6.1 that was on my treo never connected to edge, i could tell because the Speed was extremely slow and the connection never showed a E icon. For some reason it looks like Edge was missing on the rom, i dont know why. 6.1 is really no different at all from 6.0. The only difference i know is that 6.1 has the updated internet explorer built in which involves the ability to zoom, thats all lolz. That can easily be modified on 6.0 if you google well. im pretty of it. I am definitely happy with 6.0 and you will be too especially when you get to use edge.

Don't you miss the reported snappier function of 6.1 and the threaded text msgs, automatic email fetch for pop/imap, and few other convenient features.
Sounds too good to pass up, but like you said EDGE is important.

i have Edge and the radio 1.54.27.00 running perfectly on my unlocked treo.

I've just picked up a Treo 750, having used my 600 on Tmobile for years. I've been struggling for a week to try and get it unlocked. And I've been concerned about upgrading to Win 6.0 or 6.1
My Treo 750 is Cingular branded. ATT does not want to cooperate in giving me the subsidy unlock code. I used to be a Cingular customer, but they say I have to be a current customer in order to get the code from them.
Would you please tell me how you got yours unlocked?
Which firmware and/or radio versions are working for you?
Do I use the "unbranded" files? Or Cingular?
I need some help in figuring out where to download the proper files to get mine unlocked and onto Win 6.0 or 6.1. I would prefer that it work on Edge.

I have T-Mobile and had my 750 unlocked and on the internet. However, a couple of days ago, it quit connecting to the internet. It will download email with no problem but will not connect to a URL in Internet Explorer, Y!Go but will connect to messenger on Palringo. Any ideas? I have checked the connection settings and changed those around but nothing seems to work. It does not seem to connect to Edge either. Is there an update that helps or some settings that I am missing?

GPRS Settings For ATT Fuze on Tmobile UK

Hi all,
Have a ATT fuze that am using in UK on T-mobile and although the GPRS connection is active, I cannot browse at all. Gives me a network error? What am I missing? I have NATF V 2.2 Rom running that I installed yesterday (Quite chuffed about that since I was a flashing rom virgin!). I used to have a Palm treo 680, so I just swapped my sim over.

I have also changed the proxy settings in Opera as per one of the posts and still nothing! I would appreciate your help as I am lost...
