USB car charger - Palm Treo 750

hi,
Does anyone know what is the power rating for the 750 USB charger?
I have a USB car charger from another device, which provides 5V / 650mA (max). Can I use it to charge the 750 in the car? (I have a suitable USB cable for the 750).
Y.

nokia have micro usb on some of their phones... i'm not 100% sure which models, 6500 Classic, 6555, 8600 Luna, 8800 Arte i think...
i use a car charger from the orange shop
I think the Toshiba because of its USB host is very picky about the charger it uses.
I have tried 3 now!
No name brand - 5v 500ma. Charges the phone just fine....but doesn't charge it quick enough, when navigating etc, it uses more power than it can charge
Blackberry 5v 500ma - lovely long cable length, better than the one above but same problem.....just drains a bit slower!
Samsung 5v 700ma - cable a bit short but charges the phone fantastically and works just fine!
Edit - Most phones from most of the major phone companies will support charging through micro USB. I wish they kept with mini usb.....micro is too flimsy!!
problem sorted
TG01, as well as nokia car charger, need to have the Rx and Tx pins shorted (connected together). so i opened my car usb charger and shorted the Data+ and Data- (Rx&Tx) pins and now everything is fine. i can use the usb cable as data cable, and when i connect it to my car usb charger, it starts charging!
hope this helps

your car charger should have a usb A connector like this
http://pinouts.ru/connector/4_pin_USB_A__USB_B__mini-USB_jack_connector.shtml
all you have to do is solder together pins 2&3
thanks bud - that was just what i needed to understand

I bought from the ebay 1 converter (mini->micro usb) but don´t work in the TG01
(don´t have another phone with micro usb to test if the problem is in the converter or "tg01").
Can anyone share what converter I need to buy?

For reference, I bought my wife a car charger for her Sony Vivaz from ebay, and it charges the TG01 just fine

[Q]Confusion with chargers, cables & speed

Hi y'all,
I'm looking to buy some new chargers (wall charger, car charger) for my HD2 (not that this should matter, I guess it's something that applies for a lot of devices) but can't figure out which combinations of chargers & cables will really charge at 1A.
The combination of an iPod USB charger with a micro USB cable from my local store resulted in 'USB connected', and hence maxed out at 500mA. Recently also used a 1.2A car charger with a micro USB cable (both from dealextreme, being cheap =) ), and once again I got the dreaded 'USB connected'.
What do I have to buy or do in order to make my phone understand that it's not charging through USB (well, in a way of speaking) but through a wall charger?
Muchos thanks!
Edit: did some more research. Just short circuited the 2 center pins of my car charger, and now it's recognized as AC, whoo! I suppose this applies to all chargers, hence, question solved!

Car charger

many of you probably know there's a plug with the cable foe the tf300 but i was wondering if one can use a usb adapter. by the idea the output is 1.2 amps and 15V as you can guess its hard to find a car charger to usb like that but there are many 2amp 5V adapters. also i noticed the official asus wall chargers has both outputs 1.2 amp and 2amp. so my qustion is is it safe to use a 2amp 5V usb car adapter to charge the tf300

[Q] USB fast charge cable

Is it possible to obtain a USB cable for fast charging, i.e. more than 500mAh without modding?
See for example:
S107 S105 USB Charger Charging Cable For Mini RC Helicopter Syma S105/S107 2A
I'm asking because a lot of USB chargers in the range of 1000-2000mAh come with either no USB cable or a standard USB data cable that limits charging to 500mAh.

[Q] USB 3.0 'Car' Charger

Very sorry if this has been covered or in the wrong section, but the other threads are more for data than charging.
I use my Note 3 in my aircraft as a fight computer. Since the app uses GPS and all the other sensors, with the display permanently on, it drains the battery extremely fast.
My plane has a 12V supply, and for my previous phones I used the voltage regulator and cable from a normal USB 2.0 car charger.
Now with the USB 3.0 connector, it doesn't charge fast enough.
I'm looking for ideas how to keep my phone charged while flying: Can I use a 2A USB car charger with a USB 2.0 connector, or must I buy a new USB 3.0 connector cable and wire it to a 2A charger?
Any pin-outs/diagrams will be appreciated.
Regards,
Erich
