Can you help me? - What is the best Dual Sim solution for the Smartphone?
Thank you very much!
Search for "Universal twin card" on eBay.
It works very well on my P3600 and it is an indeed economic solution.
Bye.
Thank you for the answer!
I hove some questions: - there are digital and analog Dual Sim's
- some adapter only work, if yo cut the Sims -> but i don't wont to destroy my sim cards
What is the best solution?
Thank you!
The only adapters that can be mounted on P3600 required the cut.
Cut does not mean to destroy the SIM!!
Universal twin card is that which works better between those which I have tried. You can change number pressing off and then on from the Phone Key of the Comm Manager.
And it is most economic.
Bye.

Just be aware that reading about the Universal Twin Card, it is not suitable for 3G USIM cards.
I need a solution with HSDPA/UMTS! - Is there no Dual Sim Adapter for it?
Thanks!
Hi there,
I know the guys at www.simore.ch sell 3G/HSDPA compliant dual sim solutions.
Keep us informed!
Can I ask how you change between Sim1 and Sim2 if the phone is on??

Hi there
I have got a MDA Vario, and have got my personel T-Mobile sim card in there, the MDA is unlocked and I want to be able to use my work sim card jointly with this
I have seen dual sim card holders, but I would like to know
1) Are they any good?
2) Do they work?
3) What features do you loose
4) Can you make and recieve calls on both sim cards
Thanks
Tim
Dual SIM
I have not used dual sim on PDA - however my previous experience with dual sim is the following:
- Have to turn off device to change between the 2 SIM cards.
So with the PDA I presume a simple GRPS off and on would be sufficient.
- Cannot use BOTH SIM at once - have to choose one at a time.
Only good thing about dual sim is that you don't have to remove the battery - other than that I don't see the big benefits to be honest.
Hope the above helps - let us know how you get on with finding one suitable for your PDA and your findings.
Thanks
Have you seen this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/vie...sc&highlight=nocut+dual+sim+adapters&start=25
I need to get a dual sim adaptor for my Orange SPV M700 to try and reduce my roaming charges.....
I've looked through the various threads, but am unable to reach a conclusion.
Can I please ask a couple of questions?
I need an adaptor that supports 3g sims and 3g services?
Also, if I go back to single sim with, I assume an adaptor supplied, am I still 3g with my original sims?
Thanks
Paul
multisim
try getting a multisim card (6 in 1), you can put 6 or more different sim cards in it and switch numbers using the stk software
thanks for the reply. looked into that sort of stuff - just browsing online.
my problem is that my sims are very new. orange for Uk and amena for spain.
is there a way to read the KI codes, etc without trashing the sims?
cheers
paul
it comes with a sim reader and software. you can get the KI codes from your original sim card and encode it to the multisim card. tried it on several sim card and it doesn't trash the original ones.

Pay attention that in the newer cards they have some new firmware version
that it's not possible to read the KI codes, you will brick the sim card.
Does anyone know of a dual SIM that fits in and works with Touch Diamond???
Why not use an N-in-1 card that allows you to clone a SIM? I find dual SIM's to decrease battery life on WinMo devices. A Ghost SIM should fit perfectly fine however.
Hi there,
I tried the dual sim adaptors from hot-wire-telekom.
I tried both
the digital:
hot-wire explains that this can cause problems - and it doesnot work
the analog:
should work - but it doesnot
I tried both with a Siemens S55 and it worked (digital version needs a lot of power - only about on third standby left).
I will have to contact the guys from hot-wire to ask what to do with the diamond.
To be continued...

Hmmm interesting... http://www.fonefunshop.co.uk/dualsim/magicsim.htm like this?
Does STK stuff work with winMO 6.1 etc etc.
You sound like you know your stuff so as much info as poss would be super helpful...
many thanks
How about this one from Brando? I'm going to order one soon. It's not cheap($27+3 shipped) though.
It says can directly switch the sim from sim menu.
The STK should work fine in Windows Mobile. DX has them the cheapest and offers free wordwide shipping. I've purchased many things from them and am very happy with their service.

I tried the Magic one and it didn't work. It looks to me that those adaptors work with Nokia type phones only.

Bummer - there must be one that actually works like the 6-in-1 magic SIM
Apparently they can cause problems with 3G/HSDPA? Anyone noticed that?
I almost got one, but having to switch over from one SIM to another and then back to the other just to see if I've missed calls/SMS's etc seems like something that I'd grow tired of very quickly.
If the Diamond had two radios, and could use two SIM's simultaneously, then that would be nice...

Yes I agree - I have put the calls on divert from my Orange number to my 3 sim works a treat problem solved for now - I am seeing a growing trend in Dual Radio phones though. Two HSDPA connections at once... LOL maybe in future we will se channel bonding
Now that would be interesting... It cant be too far off. To be honest, for so many years people have carried two cell phones, (some people more than two!) that I find it kind of strange no-one has tapped that market yet... These SIM adapters are the best attempt at solving the issue, but they just create more issues... I ended up porting my personal number to my work account so I could be done with the whole thing and just have one phone and one number I would have preferred a dual radio phone though!
I have an analog one, which works perfectly. i believe it's the magic sim 1st gen adapter... no problems with hsdpa or anything else
I have one in my Diamond just now, which I previously bought for my iPhone.
I don't know what Generation it is, but its a ghost SIM which you cut your 2 SIM cards and fit into one. I simply turn the celular radio off and on to switch network - either that or reboot the device.
N to 1 sims ?
The problem with all the N to 1 sims (including magicsim) is that you can only clone V1 sim cards (sim cards delivered before 2002 with some countries/operators variations).
Modern sim cards are almost always V2 or V3 versions and for the moment there aren't clonable (august 2008) !!! Trying to clone a V2 or V3 sim card for using a N to 1 sims will in most cases block your sim card defnitively So today the interest of such multisims cards are limited ....
(for myself i had the chance to keep old V1 sim cards and using diamond now with silvercard with sim emu containing two sim clones ....)
I got an answer from hot-wire-telekom for the digital and analog 2-in-1 sim adaptor.
The digital one will not work with PDAs at all.
The analog one should work but there can be problems and the adaptor will not fit perfect. So I should try tape and pieces of paper to make the sim fit in the slot.
I tried it for about one hour and it only worked with one card but did not display the second.
Will take another hour tonight...

I had one for my HTC Touch Diamond. I cutted my 2 sim cards into 2 little ones in order to fit the metal sim holder. I had 2 options: 1st i could switch the operators by pressing one assigned button. 2nd i could define timming to automaticaly switch. No way you can have 2 operators at the same time since galaxy dont have 2 antennas....

I've been thinking of buying one, but Simore don't seem to answer questions. Maybe you can help me. Do you have to manually switch the APN? And do you have to enter the Google account each time you switch?
Thanks in advance!
Hey.
I only found out about this "second physical SIM card reader is disabled" issue after I bought my S21+ here in Australia. Even after swapping the single SIM tray to a dual SIM tray it wouldn't work.. which was then explained over here at GSMarena.
I was getting my hopes up that with a dual SIM card tray and flashing the right ROM, I would be able to use both my physical SIM cards but I seem unable to find the one that would help to achieve this.
Has anyone else come across this and was successful in enabling that second reader?
P.S. I'd prefer to use a European ROM in the end but I'm at the point where if I can't enable via flash, I will return and hope to find a S21+ somewhere else that comes with dual physical enabled ootb.
P.P.S. Currently on G996BXXU3BUKG, XSA

Hi there, have you ever figured out a way to use the second SIM slot? I am facing the same issue with a US S22. I can see the physical SIM card connections under a microscope and bought a dual sim tray but no second SIM shows up under "SIM card manager"

Howdy.
I wasn't able to get the second one working, not with with the dual sim tray and any ROM.
For me, it ended up with a return and getting one from Europe where the dualSIM came ootb and worked right away.
Sorry, no revelations from me.
Best of luck
Thank you for your response. I am sorry it didn't work for you in the end.
It really is a shame, in my opinion, for Samsung to put up those restrictions on the device, especially if it already ships with the hardware in it.
