Hello All,
I have Wizard with a Xplore 1.0.2 ROM. I usually use the phone in US, but I have brought it with me to Iran, where all the cell numbers start with Zero ( + ). For some reason, when i dial the number, it does not get stored in the call history. Caller ID works fine, but it is a pain because i can not see missed calls or dial the last number I called.
Does anyone know a fix?
thanks
fyi... i found out that the call history was not working because the date/time on the phone was 12 hours off (am/pm backwards). it works now

hi dudez,
Sometimes when i got call i dont see name of call just show me number, There is a fix for this problem?
Thanx anyway,
ZPDY
that means the person calling you is not in your address book
I don't think zdpy means a person not in his address book!
I have noticed the same thing - intermittently.
The individual ringtones of CallerID aren't working at all on my Magician (I ALWAYS get the default ringtone), and sometimes even the name is not displayed.
I suspect this happens because I seem to have too many contacts (>600, overall >1500 phone numbers)...
I have been removed CallerID and still sometime show me only number with no name even the number store in my addressbook.
Hi,
in the old (and current I believe as well) Nokia phone - and most other pure mobile phones for that matter - you can dial a "p", typically by holding down the "*" for a while. The "p" makes the phone wait a little while before continuing to dial the rest of the number.
I need this feature!!!
I am using some prepaid phone cards for which this feature is really necessary.
So, anyone have a clue how to get a similar functionality on WM5? The "p" certainly does not work ...
Thanks in advance - Andy
if you're dialing live, you can dial only the connection number then open the keypad to dial the rest of the keycode manually. If you want to automate it, create a contact with the full number and you can enter in "p" there.
I have a contact for my voicemail which dials the voicemail and waits and the pin + #. this works great with voicecommand cause all I have to do is say "call voicemail" and it'll dial, enter in the password automatically and I don't have to touch the phone at all...
Interesting ... I did migrate all my number from my previous phone, where i had the "p" included in the number. The numbers also seemingly came up correctly on the PPC phone. However, when I tried to dial the number, it would not take the complete number with the "p" - I cannot remember exactly what it did, but it did not dial the whole thing. Thats why I thought/ hoped that there is another way. I guess, after what you are saying, I should give it another try ...
And yes, the application that you are describing is very similar to what I want to use. There is a prepaid international call provider, which has a local dial-in number and lets me call abroad for very little money. I call the local number - the service provider recognizes my account by the incoming phone number of my mobile - and then I dial the destination number. For the recognising part however, it is needed that the phone waits a little before it continues to dial the destination number.
Alright, alright .... works! Thx for the assurance! Tried it again and it just takes a lot longer - the pause is longer - than it used to be on my Nokia. Also, I do not hear the dialing tones after the "p" anymore, which probably put me off before.
Thanks! Thread closed
Try replacing the "p" with a "," . It will pause for a few seconds once the other side picks up the phone.
I have a contract with my cellphone company that provides me besides normal cellphone service, unlimited calls to a group of people in my country, all people in that group are identified with an aditional short phone number, so we have two phone numbers in our SIM, the normal one and the short one.
Happens that we use the short number to call ourserlves in the group (we could also use the normal number, but that'd be charged in my invoice as a normal call), but the normal phone number is always shown in our phones as incoming number when receiving a call from the group or outside, and that's how it is saved in call log.
So, in my contacts list, each contact has the two numbers added (I've set the normal phone number as cell phone number, and the short number as work phone).
Now the problem, the way smartdialer in WinMo5 and later work is to show the last call (made/missed/received) of every contact, then contacts list (if contact not already shown before), and after receiving a call from the group in my case the normal number is shown, and there's no way to use the short number to reply, unless I take the long path and go to contacts list and choose the contact and number manually; usually I'm in a hurry and just forget and call the contact using smartdialing and happens that the normal number is dialed.
I had no problem using smardialing with WinMo2003 as there was an option to choose a default number when there were multiples numbers on a contact, so, no matter what number a contact used to call me, when using smartdialing the default number was always chosen, I see no equivalent in WinMo5 or later.
Now, is there a way to replicate that behavior from WinMo2003? (registry/patch/etc.), thanks for taking the time to read.
P.D. the same can be said when we have multiples numbers in a contact (work/home/etc.) and receive calls from some of them but just want to reply to just one of them.
Heeeelp me!!
With my Touch Diamond 2 i can not make calls using leading +
every time i call with leading + i can not reach teh number.
I allways have to call 00
(for example +49 911..... is not possible
i have to call 0049 911...)
This is very terrible if i would like to answer a missed call.
Becaus every incomming call is identified by +43 ......
Please help me
You should be able to simply tap the missed call details and connect without any problem.
As for dialling, I don't know which dialler you are using but on mine tapping and holding the zero key produces a + - and I've just verified that this works by making a call using it!
Hello everyone! I want some help here! The problem is this:
A couple days ago i noted a telephone number on the call dialer and a few moments later pressed the call button so as to save the number at the call log and save the contact later. However the moment i pressed the call button i had no signal. So this call never appeared at the call log and as a result i missed this very important telephone number... So my question is IF there is any way to find the log of this uncompleted call. My device is an HTC Legend with HomICS 2.0 rom, using the default dialer. I'm not sure this is the right board to post this...
Thanks in advance...
