Backup speed dial and SMS - Palm Treo 750

I use the Speed Dial function on my 750 but I notice that after I have to do a reset that I lose all my entries and have to re-create them individually. Are these entries stored somewhere on the file system or in the registry so that I can make a backup and restore when needed?
Also, I have the same question about SMS conversations and the ability to restore them after a hard reset?
TIA.

Purge SMS folder or file

for some reason, sometimes i get on my Treo with WM6 it says there is 1 Text message unread, but i open it and there is no messages.
is there a file that I can delete that i can have recreate.
it's weird.
e..b
I have 3 "unread" messages. Maybe because I recovered database from my previous systems.
All messages are stored in \Windows\PalmMsgV001 - you can delete it and have clear sms-database It will self recreate after running Messanging app.
I have another question.
I have upgraded from treo 750V Wm5 to wm6.
Before upgrading I made a backup with pimBackup of all contacts and sms. Once upgraded to WM6 i restored my pims data, everything goes well, but I cant find my sms... Nobody can help me?
PIMBackup doesn't backup smses on Treo
How I can do to restore from pim backup? is there any solution?
Thanks a lot!
I was able to get PIM Backup to back up my SMS msg's. The thing is... the 750 combines both MMS and SMS msg's, so you cant restore them both at the same time. If you only restore the SMS msg's it SHOULD work. It worked for me just fine.
I prefer to backup \Windows\PalmMsgV001 from time to time just in case problems with smses. Once I had a problem and it drove me to hard reset because I didn't know where messages are kept...

Storing text messages

Is there an option on my phone to save text messages, MMS, to my storage card. I've looked through all the options on my phone, but I can't find anything on this. I would like to have all my text messages intact even when I have to master reset my phone for some reasons.
Back them up with PIM Backup. Search the forum for a download link. I'm afraid no MMS support yet, though
Yea I use spb backup to backup my PIM every night.

There is no option to save texts, but when you backup the PIM it automatically backs up your texts.

How can I save the SMS to the SIM or memory card

I want to save the SMS messages to my sim, I am changing ROM once in a while and I don't want the SMS messages to be deleted each time I upgrade.
Is there a way to save the SMS on SIM or memory card ?
PIM Backup will save your text messages an emails recent calls ect to your memory card.Just install it on your new rom and you can restore them all.
Thanks for the quick respond
After you flash a new ROM, but BEFORE you restore your PIM backup, make sure you don't have messaging enabled on your home screen - otherwise it will look like you've lost half of your messages after they've been restored. They are still there, they just won't show up in the threaded view. So, if the ROM you choose has the HTC Home or TouchFlo plugin enabled, go to start menu/settings/today/items tab and uncheck HTC Home or TouchFlo (I make sure everything is unchecked except the date plugin) then do the PIM restore. When it's done, go back an uncheck the date plugin and re-check either HTC Home or TouchFlo and you should now be able to click on messaging and see both sides of your conversations in threaded view.

request - backup ringtone settings?

everytime I have to re-sync my contacts to my phone, I lose all of my ringtone settings for individual contacts. Is there an app that will back those up and restore them? If not, can anyone make one?
at the very least, can anyone tell me where those settings are stored in the file system, so I can back them up using my root privileges?
thanks
Almost a year ago and no response. Is there really no way to backup ringtone settings in contacts?
Check out VIP PIM Ringtone
You tried with Titanium Backup?

Backup/Export SMS from Three In Touch app?

I need to factory reset my phone (Samsung Galaxy S4 - Android 4.4.2 Phoenix ROM), but need to save the SMS messages from Three In Touch as I need to refer to them later. How can I backup or export these messages so that I can retain access to them following a factory reset?
I use Three In Touch exclusively for SMS as I have no signal from my normal weekday location, and none of my SMS's are being mirrored in the primary SMS app.
use titanium backup
