GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/3G bill or whot ever
I am on 3 UK pay monthly. The Treo set up itself automatically (both with WM5 and 6) so you should have no problems.
They should recognise it as MSN traffic but give it a try and then check My3 to see if you have been charged. I have the £5 X-Series add on and I use that for MSN (though Live Messenger doesn't seem to work but PocketMSN did), Skype and Exchange ActiveSync (push email) and have only ever been charged the £5 per month.
offtopic - Today at the base station near my house, 3 upgraded it to HSDPA. Getting almost 1Mbit/s

They say Windows Live Mesenger how come it doesn't seem to work ??
how much do u pay monthly ? and is it 18 or 12 month ?
so u cen get a contract and get any hand set from three tale SIM out and put it in to Treo 750 ??
All up I pay £30 (£25 for voice and £5 for data). It's a 12 month contract. I originally got a 12 month contract with 12 months free, so effectively, I am only paying for the data and any non-included calls (e.g. 0845, 0870, international). I got a LG U400 on the contract (the DJ phone) which I flogged on fleabay and the money contributed to my Treo. So yes, provided your Treo is unlocked, you can plug in a 3 sim card and away you go. The Treo will set itself up.
Not sure why Live Messenger doesn't work as PocketMSN did on Windows Mobile 5. It may be the Vodafone ROM (though I have removed the files in the extended ROM). At the end of the day, on a Windows Mobile 5, it doesn't matter which version you use because you will only be doing text chat anyways, so if you can, stick with PocketMSN.

HTC coming with new ad campaign...

So HTC use to spend about $2 Million on it's marketing. It has hired a new agency and is investing $50 Million in a new market campaign. Not sure if this has been posted already and sorry if it has.
I can't think of the name of the company it hired right now but it is the same one that was in charge of Helio marketing. Hopefully they have some fresh ideas and not recycle Helio crap.
Smartphone Maker HTC Picks Deutsch as First Consumer Agency
Execs Say Marketer Planning $50 Million Ad Push in Fourth Quarter, Big Brand Campaign in the Works
Posted by Rupal Parekh on 08.20.09 @ 02:59 PM
NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- HTC, the maker of smartphones such as T-Mobile's Google-branded G1, has hired Deutsch, Los Angeles, to help market its own branded handsets.
HTC is the maker of T-Mobile's Google-branded G1 smartphone.
The West Coast office of Interpublic Group of Cos.' Deutsch will handle creative and media duties for the fast-growing marketer. The shop won the account after a final round of pitching against Publicis Groupe's Fallon, Omnicom Group's Tribal DDB and independent David & Goliath, executives said.
Said Fallon CEO Chris Foster: "HTC will be an important brand in the very near future. It was an honor to be considered." Other agencies either declined to comment or couldn't be immediately reached.
"Deutsch really captured the essence of the HTC brand. Their demonstrated success and expertise in the wireless category and retail is the perfect fit for us," said Steve Seto, executive director of marketing for HTC North America.
HTC is based in Taiwan and in the U.S. operates out of Bellevue, Wash. The company has been around for more than a decade but has, until recent years, been a behind-the-scenes player helping to develop and design smartphones for other brands.
More Android phones on the way
This month, T-Mobile launched myTouch, HTC's second phone in the U.S powered by the open-source and Google-supported Android platform. Though Apple and Blackberry command an outsized share of the U.S. smartphone market, industry watchers say about half a dozen Android phones will hit stateside this year.
HTC has also partnered with Microsoft on Windows Mobile-based handsets such as the Touch Diamond2, a touch-sensitive device designed to rival the iPhone.
In addition to T-Mobile, HTC works with a range of carriers, including AT&T, Qwest, Sprint, Verizon, Alltel Wireless and U.S. Cellular.
While HTC hasn't had a consumer advertising agency in the U.S., it does work with Waggener Edstrom, the PR shop that also counts Microsoft as a client. HTC's decision to engage an ad agency comes after the company launched its own consumer brand about 18 months ago, and it is quickly ramping up the release of HTC-branded products around the world.
In the past couple of years, the marketer has spent only $2 million or so in domestic measured media, according to TNS Media Intelligence, but executives close to the pitch note that HTC is planning to spend some $50 million on advertising in the fourth quarter alone, with a major brand push likely late this year or early 2010.
The win is a boost for Deutsch, which was hard-hit by troubles with its General Motors account and parted ways with T.G.I. Friday's earlier this year. Deutsch has some experience in the handset sector, via its work for wireless startup Helio.

A Plethora of Choices: 2010 Windows Mobile Devices on the Carriers: US Edition

Despite rampant Windows Mobile criticism this year, there are still many great choices for Windows Phones offered by the carriers. With choice sometimes comes indecision, and we're here to sort it all out for you. What is to come is a comparison of the US's four biggest carriers (so that's Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Sprint) and their current offerings of Windows Mobile devices.

Choice?? hahahaha!
You are funny!
AT&T currently offers only 1 (2?) WinMo touchscreen devices: the new "Tilt" (and maybe one more?)
The new Tilt costs $350 with a 2 year contract ... the iphone 3GS can be had starting at $150.
WOW! What a choice.

[Q] Where have the WM HTC phones gone on AT&T?

I went to AT&T's website and their selection of Windows Mobile phones is almost non-existent. What's going on - has anyone heard of an intentional move away from Windows Mobile at AT&T?
I have a personal/hosted Microsoft Exchange account and LOVE the synchronization between my desktop Outlook and the Windows Mobile phone, but I hear no one's implementation is 100% like WM's.
You'll have to wait for Windows Phone 7 for AT&T to get "new" phones. Last I looked they were still selling the Tilt 2, or at the very least refrubished ones. I know Radioshack was also selling refurbished Pures.
This is nothing specific from AT&T. It seems that ever since Microsoft announced WM6.5 will become a 'classic' OS and they're moving to Windows Phone 7, Windows Mobile phones just seemed to have died from the market.
I just checked GSMArena; WinMo only saw two major releases in 2010 in the form of the HD2 and HD Mini. One can argue for a few other phones. By comparison, Android saw about a dozen major releases or so.
Who knows? Maybe when WP7 finally arrives, we'll be seeing more products from Microsoft, but at this point, I wouldn't count on another major WinMo phone coming for any network.
Also, AT&T only ever had "Two" HTC Windows Mobile phones at any given time.
However if you mentioned other brands, they got like 3-5 Samsung Windows Mobile phones currently being offered on their website, all with 6.1/6.5
