Hello, I would like to start to make my own ROM, but before i've some questions
1° Where can I find a clean wm6 ROM as a base for my developement.
2° Where can I find addons and plugins already cooked to insert next in my ROM. I thinking more precisely in the TouchFLO, the cube, asian, arabic and other languages support for the pocket pc, etc..
3° and third where can i find very good tut about creating roms

Just explore around Nobody here is going to hand feed you. All the info is available for those that take the time to read and research.
BTW: your question 3 is answered with a new topic that is right at the top of the forum. The fact you asked tells me you haven't even attempted to look (and don't try to say search is worthless here, as that excuse is old.)

Hi Folks....ive been looking around the forums, and as my knowldge is rather miminual could someone hold my hand?
Ive just bought the tytn II (italian) and i want to change the OS language to English. With my limitated understadning, some of the roms ive seen are bundled with extras, is it posible just to install one section (i.e. the language) or is the language part and parcel of the complete rom?
I dont want to ask 'which is the best?', but could someone suggest a rom that isnt so bundled with extra tweaks?

Take it easy, use your Kaiser for some times and get used to it
meanwhile read all the stickies and search for some answers around this section and the Kaiser section.
Hard SPL is a must and its easy to be done
If you want a www rom; there are many verisons, the Shipped http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=332246
or cooked ones, you can use Dutty's Hybird, its stable and fast.

I understand your point about using the phone a few times, but my italian is really bad, so i cant set it up as comprehensively as i would like...
I just thought that i would be better to get the language setup first, before i start to customise the phone

OK, get it unlocked with the HARD SPL, and flash it with the Duttys last rom

It's on the cooked ROMs wiki, which is linked in sticky or the Kaiser wiki. All you need to do is scroll down to the very bottom of the cooked roms page.
I don't know if it's stable, but it seems like the only one that exists. Please reply in that thread if you have questions about it.
We're continuing to improve the info found in this forum by linking existing threads to the sticky and the wiki. Please try to use these resources and search before posting.

It's actually the *ONLY* Kaiser WM6.1 ROM in another language right now, afaik.
i am using the rom for over a month or so now and i can only say it's a really good rom.
verry stable and fast and a good clean rom for further cooking.
there was only one problem with it and that was the radio.
so i dont use the 1.64 something radio and changed it to the polaris radio wich gives alot better reception and batterylife.
im on the orange network by the way.
all things said this rom was better for me than all the precooked crab dutty keeps pushing out.
i really like to cusomize my own phone and dont want a cooked rom with alot of stuff i dont use.
all the taskbar enhancing programs like qmenu or wtask i really hate those things.
and i also got fed up uninstalling all the programs i didn't like on my phone.
with this clean rom i can add all the stuff i use and like.
and use the phone like i want to.
but there always are people that like a rom that just gives u all the functions and programs dutty's rom has to offer..

Flashed my TYTNII yesterday with this rom. Using the build in radio rom on a t-mobile netwerk. Works like a charm. Does anyone know where to find a cab file for a dutch HTC Action screen? would be great. TNX
exept the fact that this is my first 6.1 rom, i must say that no thrills rom spins pretty stable. it's a bitt to clean if you ask me, but you have the freedom to dress it the way u like. maybe i should take some cooking lessons and play with this base rom.
It's a shame that there are not that many dutch roms. There should be more, maybe some tweaked, dutch roms.

I am a noob in cooking my rom! i managed to create my packages and they work great! i have 3 questions for you!
1st- How can i add a shiped rom (OS.nb) clean! ???
2nd-as soon as i flash o cooked(by me Rom), whenever needs to soft reset , my screen goes black and i need manually to do it. y is that?
3rd-can i change the language of the interface with any kitchen software??

READ THE WiKi First
All your questions can be answered in the Kaiser WiKi there is a ton of info there including Screen Casts of ROM cooking it can't get any easier for people!
2 - the no reboot is a bug in some roms change your base to a newer release from HTC and it will work.
3 - Yes you can change the language of any rom using the KaiserKitchen but its a little time consuming again read the Wiki on ROM cooking!
Hi folks - I have just got an XDA Exec which is presently running WM5 with all the O2 (UK) firmware and apps loaded
I want to upgrade and have been trawling the posts here for clues to the latest/best ROM to use - WM6.1 or WM6.5
And.. I'm confused - too many posts and too many ROM versions..
The one that seems to stand out is Tomal's ROMs but again - which is best?
Also, how do I install the ROM? (I will re-read the forum in case I missed it!)
My head's like mush (not surprising with having a hyperactive 2 year old to contend with as well!! )

It is difficult to say which is the best ROM as they all meet different needs for different users, but if you want a fast, stable and all round good ROM, then go for TOMAL's 8.2.
I have flashed many roms but always seem to come back to this one.
I mean no disrespect to the other great chefs it's just my personal opinion and long may thier excellent work continue.
To learn about flashing go to the Universal WIKI page and have a deep read, you can find it at the top of the Universal page.
And just to say congrats on choosing a decent phone

Dose it say that there server are fu or overloaded?

Hi first time poster.
I am the proud owner of a HTC touch pro 2.
Ive been reading on this site about the different roms eg Manila but goodness im so confused, im not really that tech pro. In my settings screen it says "TouchFlo 3D 2.1.38158.2", after some reading on this site it seems to me thats the manila version. is that right? if so how do i upgrade it so i can use the custom themes and skins.
Also i have windows 6.1 on my device atm. should/can i flash it? If so what is the recommended rom to put on (if thats the right way to put it)

You can upgrade to wm6.5 if you want.
I can recommend Energy ROM´s
Leo= Manila 2.5 (slower for Rhodium)
Phoenix2= Manila 2.1 (better for Rhodium)

I just flashed my fone with hardspl but have yet to install a rom.
should i (do i have to) update my wm6.1 to wm6.5 to use the Energyroms?
i guess another way to put that question is, is it worth installing roms on my 6.1 or is it just simply better and wiser to upgrade to 6.5 and then flash a rom?

Don´t be afraid, if you follow instructions all should be ok
And if you don´t like 6.5 you can always move it back easy!

I cant seem to locat.e an upgrade rom for my fone and ive searched these and other forums like crazy, ive googled everything, been on the HTC website i just cant seem to locate it.

Thats the infromation on my fone. i put up a thread in another forum and they just showed me the google link for the search and closed the thread. The search didnt help at all. Does anyone know where i can find the update FOR THIS.
