Hi Guys who owen a MDA 3 from T-Mobile Germany, i got my MDA 3 2 days ago and its was SIM locked i call T-Mobile Germany under this number +492289395748 Endgeraete service. Great Service from T- Mobile
And thanks for this forum for new romsssss

If you buy a phone from T-Mobile without a contract you always get the Netlock code for free.
If you got a phone as an upgrade you need to be convincing on the phone, AFAIK I have so far never paid the 99 Euro for the unlock code...
Mike

i'll try this.. its my first phone and contract with t-mobile.. but... well i'll see.. i hope, i can unlock my phone for free too..

99 euros for the code??? does anyone pay that much??

i need to pay 68 euro's in the netherlands for KPN, i want to use my t-mobile sim card, but no way i'm gonna pay 68 euro's to use my phone.
I tried to call t-mobile if they can help it, i'm a t-mobile custommer for over 3 years, but they couldn't do anything about it. I hope it's possible for free soon

Why not just buy one there? I have an unbranded Asian version from Malaysia that was Sim unlocked already and it didnt have the T-Mobile bloatware on it
been looking for a good and cheap unnlocking website for a while but no success so far:|
It's as simple as calling t-mobile and telling them you need to unlock it. Tell them that you're going overseas and need to have it unlocked to use on other carriers. I normally say that we're going on vacation and are going to use a pre-paid sim overseas. Then they send me an email after a couple of days with the unlock instructions + unlock code. I've done this 3 times with no problems.

This is correct. We will provide an unlock code to you free of charge with no questions asked. Just ask to be transferred to our Sim Unlock dept. and they will be more than happy to assist you.
oooo, i see isee, there is no a software to unlock this phone?
if this phone is already s-off, it will be unlocked ?
T-Mobile will only unlock the phone for you once they can verify that you are a T-Mobile customer, or you paid full price for the phone at one of their T-mobile branded stores and can fax them a copy of the receipt. I just went through all of this with them on Monday. If you cannot do either of those 2 things, they will not help you.
The only way to get it unlocked if you are not a T-mobile customer is an unlock service. I used a guy on ebay that unlocked 2 of them for me and sent me the code within 5 mins. He charged $24.95 per phone.

I got mine in a trade so I didnt pay out of pocket for it. Not sure what they retail for in NYC, more than a T-mobile one that's for sure since unlocked phones are usually a higher price
TMO rep told me they can't unlock the phone yet, I'll try again in couple weeks or so.
After spending a couple hours on the phone with T-Mobile trying to work out my data plan in the wee morning hours last week, I received the unlocking code for my Sensation accidentally. After going through all the hell to keep my old rate for my data plan, and finally succeeding, they asked "Will there be anything else Sir". I said "Yes, one more thing. Can I get the SIM Subsidy Unlock Code for my HD2? And being so tired and half awake, I might have given the wrong IMEI number, because the next day I received the unlock code for my Sensation and not my HD2.
I called back the next day and told a tech supervisor that they had sent the unlock code for the wrong phone. The women on the phone apologized and said they would send it without the 24hr wait, and I should receive it within 2hrs. But when receiving the Email from T-Mobile a couple of hours later, this was the response:
Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. We have received your SIM Unlock Request. Unfortunately, we are unable to process your request at this time. This subscriber has received an unlock code within the last 90 days. Per T-Mobile Policy only one unlock code will be provided per active subscriber every 90 days. Please submit a new request 90 days after the last unlock code was provided.
No big deal. I at least got the Sensation unlock code and just paid $20 online for the HD2 code.
gave tmobile a call. they seem to not want to give out unlock codes. they told me that i had to either pay for the price of the phone, the full price, or i need to use the phone 40 days. also got an email like this -
Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. We have received your SIM Unlock Request. Unfortunately, this subscriber is not eligible to receive the unlock code at this time. In order to be eligible, the subscriber must complete 40 days of active service. Please submit a new request 40 days after this subscriber was activated.

However keep in mind that if you're in a different country the SIM network unlock code will not work, it would only work if you're still within T-Mobile's network coverage.

Huh? That is what the unlock is for, to use your phone with a different countries network when there is no tmobile network. I do this when I go on vacation.

You will not get 3G/4G on AT&T with the T-Mobile HTC Sensation 4G.

That is correct but I just called t-mobile to ask for unlocking my HTC Sense 4G yesterday and today I received an email from the Unlock Dept saying that they could not process my request for unlock right now because I had requested to unlock once within the past 90 days...bla bla bla...and please call us back 90 days after the last day you requested. I don't understand why t-mobile policy prohibit unlock requests within 90 days like that. I doesn't make sense at all. I would suggest to unlock your phone, or in my case the HTC Sense 4G, @ other unlock websites for $6.49 with REALLY NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

The t-mobile version, as well as the Asian & European version, won't work with AT&T 3G. The Canadian Bell version works with AT&T 3G, but it cost CAD550 before tax without contract to buy one from them. So be prepared to pay at least $600 to get one.
Is there any reason that you want to stick with AT&T (e.g. no t-mobile reception in your area or on a family plan)? I paid AT&T about $200 to break my contract, which still has another year before it ends. Sign up a new contract with t-mobile and get the Sensation for $150. So in the end I paid $350 for the phone, still a much better deal than paying $600+ for the Canadian version.

[Q] Sim Unlock O2 G4GB LUMIA 1020

That's not true, they are locked to O2 network. Fill in a form here: https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset Unlocking Form and wait. It took them one day to supply me with an unlock code.
Thank you very much. Already received it and, as you told, it's locked. I'm not living in UK and bought the phone on ebay to use overseas. The link you provided it's for 02 contract customers, no? Do you know any reliable unlock code provider? Cheers
Sent from my SM-N9005 using xda app-developers app
Well, most likely the person who sold you the phone is an O2 contract customer. You could ask that person to request an unlock code for you as it would be free of charge. Another option is to get O2 Pay & Go sim card and doing it yourself. See this: http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/SRVS/CGI...ef(User):str(Mobile),CASE=ref(unlockmymobile) which might be tricky if you're not in the UK I don't know of any reliable unlock sites, but they usually charge a fortune for this.
This thread describes the situation I was in, in case anyone stumbles on it later.
I tried via the O2 online chat to get the phone unlocked. They said that I could not unlock it because they could only supply an unlock code if the phone had been used for 12 months on O2 and their records showed that this particular phone had only been used for three months. So, it looked like I would have to get a UK O2 SIM and use it for nine months. That is not easy if you live in Australia. However there is a site called Travelgear that sells O2 SIMs and lets you charge them up with 20 pounds of credit. So, I did that, and installed the SIM with a view to seeing out the 9 months, perhaps sending a text every so often and topping up each month. After installing the SIM I received a text from O2 saying I had 100MB of data to use. In trying to work out the status of the phone account I pressed an O2 shortcut on the front screen which opened up an app which when I pressed on the "My O2" button, opened up the web browser, which would not let me log into any information. Then, I thought I would ask O2 again to unlock via their online support form. Unsurprisingly, they responded that they could not but surprisingly, they said that the reason was that I did not have the necessary 15 pounds of credit. I queried that because I thought I should have 20 pounds. Ha ha! While it is 100MB, it is 6 pounds per MB if you are roaming in Australia! The brief attempt to check my account status had wiped out my credit. Gosh how I laughed.
Anyway, in parallel with all of this I tried an unlocking site called gsmliberty. They said they would need to go to a "second level database" at an additional charge and I said no thanks I will have a refund, which they promptly gave without fuss. Then I tried CellUnlockerPro. First time, they said the servers were down, which I thought was just an excuse for not being able to get the unlock code as gsmliberty had not been able to, so I asked for a refund and they too gave it to me promptly. About a week later CellUnlockerPro emailed to say the server was up so I thought nothing to be lost and gave it a shot. I put in the wrong IMEI but again CellUnlockerPro gave me a refund because I spotted the mistake early. I tried again and lo! they gave me an unlock code which worked.
So, moral of this sad story seems to be that if you are in Australia, do not waste money trying to get the free unlock out of O2, just spend the 30 USD that CellUnlockerPro charges.

[Q] Unlock the sim of T-mobile Xperia Z3

Dear all,
I bought a T-mobile Xperia Z3 in USA last week, and I came yesterday back to Italy for good. I have a T-mobile sim card still active, on the prepaid 30$ monthly plan. I used this sim card in other phones in the last 4 years while in USA. I have just put it in the phone today, I received a coupled of texted from T-mobile such as: "welcome to Italy bla bla" and after half an hour I called T-mobile to unlock it but they mentioned I need to have spent at least 100$ and I need 15 days of use before I can unlock it. Here somebody mentions 45 days and no minimum amount of dollars. Whats the right answer?
Also: is there any way to SIM unlock it without going through T-mobile? I just want to use it with VODAFONE here in Italy, I dont wanna root it. And if I have to spend 100$ on T-mobile that would be a big problem. Any help?
thanks
V.

How to sin unlock s8+

Hello. I am Emmanuel. I bought s8+ at Utah. With t-mobile carrier. And I did it with the installment plan. I haven't finished paying But will travel to Africa. And this is my only phone. There is no t-mobile service there. So was wondering if there was a way to unlock it. Before I left.
Yeah pay them to unlock it ?
Good luck with that. You buy a phone on installments and want it unlocked in the first month..... Pay for the phone, then can you can do what you like with it.
Go to http://www.cellunlocker.net/ Been getting my devices unlocked there as they are all tied to the provider who needs at least 2 weeks and 50 bucks to unlock
