the touch pro has a front camera (just like the Tytn II did).
But the AT&T versions of the HTC phones (Fuze, Tilt etc) are all built without a front facing camera. I wish it did
awww, that sucks. Jerks! For the price I wish we had the front facing camera as well. I wonder if it's actually there, just hidden under the faceplate ;P
I was curious to know the difference between the At&t fuze and the htc touch pro so i checked the raphael wiki here and they supplied a comparison table....
http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=pdacom...&id4=1362&id5=1559&id6=1363&id7=1320&id8=1547
The problem is according to the table both have a secondary camera for video call, while i noticed in the pic the fuze had none ! is this a mistake ?
i know the camera in the tp2 is 3.2 mp, whereas the TD2 is a big jump up to 5.0mp....but does anyone know if the optics as well are upgraded....or just the resolution. My reason of concern is...if the td2 takes the same crappy pictures as the tp2 but in higher resolution...its not really a worthwhile shopping point for me.
anyone know for sure? lens/firmware etc...any difference?
I must admit its a really good question, I don't see many people bothered about this to be honest.
yeah...usually stuff like this is found out when they do the tear downs on different phones, being that i haven't seen anything of the sort for the tp2...i had a feeling it'd be a while until the blogging community finds out.
Well, while the touch pro 2 was released AFTER the touch diamond 2, it's camera is even worse, while the touch diamond 2 camera makes much better pictures. And forget about the megapixels in a mobilephone any 100$ digital camera will take 10x better pictures.
You can compare the touch diamond 2 pics almost to the ones from the samsung omnia.

So, do you mean that only because crappy pics you won´t buy the TP2 or D2??
Wow! I never think on a device about it´s megapixels or camera quality (ALL cell phones, smartphones pda´s have a bad lens and will never compar to a normal camera even with 2000000mpx)
I am more interested on what it can do on communications (phone, internet, etc) that is the main propose of it
If I need to take good pics I carry my small and light Cannon REAL camera
Just my opinion,
Hi, I am looking for front speaker near the camera. know any website for parts to htc touch cruise / polaris / p3650. for send to spain.
Thanks
is there any sort of app which will allow me to take different kinds of photos such as fish eye and panoramic
does nobody know?
bump.......
Panoramic = Standard feature on HD2
Fisheye... dunno, Panaoramic comes standard with the HD2 if you start the camera then go to settings and hit the camera icon in the centre of the bottom of the screen (while holding the phone in landscape mode)
oh sweet cheers
You most certainly know that a fisheye picture can only be taken using a fisheye lens, don't you? Unless your HD2 has such a lens or you get some kind of fisheye lens you can mount in front of your HD2s lens, there is only one solution: get yourself a decent software program like Photoshop. I doubt that an app for HD2 could possibly calculate such a picture from a 5 or 8 MP Picture given the rather limited RAM of HD2 (PS uses almost all of my 3GB RAM on my Laptop).

to say theres an app on andriod which allows you to take fish eye photos, i dont think it is that impossible for the hd2 to take them
