help is needed with wm6 - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario ROM Development

Dear friends
I succeeded in flashing my device with wm6 (TNT 1933) yesterday
till now I found no troubles except:
1- the side button that control the volume does nothing ??
2- less important, the ringtones of the old phone and jig are not found with this version
so can anyone help me
best regards

i would see what software you are installing as i have exactly the same rom on my wizard and the slider volume works fine. Try uninstalling some apps and soft resetting to see if it can be used, then you will find what program is causing the problem. If that doesnt work i would just reflash it again.
As for the default sounds they were crap anyway, so why bother lol

HELP with PocketZenPhone software !!!

I have d/l the program and installed it on my XDA.
from some reason, no matter what i did, the phone volume allways was down to MUTE.
tried several options and several things but couldnt make it work - allways MUTE.
So i decided to uninstall it - but, it is still on MUTE !!!!
nothing helps now, the phone volume refuses to go on !!!
im pushing it up (the volume) but it continues on returning down to MUTE.
Will i need to hard reset the device???
Is this program ****ed my phone settings?
PLEASE HELP!!
i have even tried to delete all registries related to this software - nothing, still on MUTE.

Did Soft Reset almost 10 times.
this is so idiotic....the worst thing a software can do to you is make you HR your device.
im still waiting for suggestions, i dont want to HR, and im not getting (hearing) calls now.
Help Please.
what about those software programers? no one to help????
Try this: Reinstall PocketZenPhone 3.5. When asked to keep your old settings, say no. Go to Today settings Items. Click on PocketZenPhone Options and create all your profiles. When finished (and not before that !), save settings, close all and return to Today screen. It should be OK.
Hello,
sorry I cannot check easily the forum as I travel this end of week.
Could you tell me what you did to have the phone in mute mode even if you uninstal PZP ?
On which target did you install (XDA1 or XDA2) which ROM ?
It is the first time I hear about such problem with PZP... but we will find why it happens and I will correct that if it is a bug
Regards.

hi. my name is adrian. i have bought this model some month ago. i like very much this model, but from last week i have a bizar problem with it:it's starting to vibrate from itself. why? i don't know. when i change the position of the acumulator iti stops. is there any combination of keys that start this? or what is the problem?
thank you in advance,
adrian.
It can be several problems. But, for more detailed diagnostics, we should know more about your device:
- which ROM/radio are you using?
- have you soft/hard rebooted device (I guess you have)?
- have you deleted some of preinstalled software?
- have you edited profiles?
I believe there are no unread/unreadable messages, mails or stuff like that?
hi. thank you for your reply.
yes i have soft and hard rebooted.
the rom is default, original.
i have instaled some programs and make some mods but yesterday i have reinstaled the os by resetting the device.
after reinstall today i had the same problem at 11:30 12 o'clock.
what could it be?
did you check the alarm?
yes. the alarm looks ok.
when it starts to vibrate it vibrates continuously. it only stops when i move the acumulator. if i get it out and put it back(even if the pda is on) it shuts down but continues to vibrate.
You should take it back to the seller and have them look at it...
If all the 3 alarms check out, and you didn't set anything like that also the Hard Reset won't solve your problem, that may be your only real option...
hi.
it might be an imperfect contact. i did some reserch...when i push a litle bit on the acumulator it stops...i guess the reseller will solve it...but not now...thanks a lot.

I can't believe I'm the only one with this issue...

Anyone having crashes whenever they click on "Menu" for the Messages portion for TouchFlo3D? I'm not sure when it starts, but I think it happens when I install the Call History tab from NaviDavi. Everytime I hit the menu softkey, manila.exe crashes, and it's the ONLY menu not working properly for me.
Anyone else using a different history tab without any issues?
I do not have the call history tab, but have the calendar tab. No crashes to this point sorry to say.
Try another ROM. DCSv14 for example. No troubles in stability at all. On stock ROMs I also have a crashes on manila.exe, gwes.exe and shell32.exe in random cases.
I dint have any problems as such, try a hard reset if you want...

I did that 3 times, and it still didn't fix things. It only happens after applying a bunch of tweaks.

I think your best bet is to install a known good rom...
Man, this is strange. I installed a Diamond only theme with no landscape and my Menu button the SMS portion of TouchFlo magically worked. No crashes. Then I installed the patched version for Touch Pro from NisseDILLIGAF, and the problem came back again.
I want to know how I can find out the source of this problem. If it's a tweak that caused this, which tweak could it be?
Nobody else having this problem after installing the call history cab?
My solution may not please you, but I installed Diamond TF3D config and simply deleted that tab. Now all the Icon sets I have d/l work like a charm and I actually find myself enjoying TF3D. I AM NOT using a cooked ROM, but a factory ROM that came in the phone last week.
Now the embarrasing thing is that I cannot tell you if it happend with the Original TF3D. To be honest, I HATED TF3D at first, before I started doing the tweaks.

Touch pro 2 Keeps freezing and becomes unusable, Please Help

I Have a Sprint TP2.
I delved into Roms last week when i got my TP2. I tried the r13 rom first and liked it, but at some point when I tried to turn my phone back on it wouldn't. I tried everything, even restarting the phone. It just didn't respond any more so I had to hard format. Then i tried installing Mighty Rom.
I got it customized and everything. It worked nearly perfectly. The only problem I had was that it drained the battery REALLY quickly (like 1 percent per minute) sometimes and i figured something might be running in the background. But today, it's doing the same thing as the r13 rom.
Some programs I have installed are:
Cookie's home tab editor
Skyscape medical programs
Batti
1% battery cab
No-push internet
tree size pro
pandora
slacker radio
clean rom
and some more i can't remember at the moment.
Does anyone have any tips on how i can fix this for good? Or should I just keep trying roms and hope that it will fix it.
Is this a known problem?
Thanks.
It is something you have installed. hard reset and try the rom without anything installed. Then slowly install until you find he bad program.
thanks for the reply.
i used task 29. reinsralled mighty rom then did a hard reset last night. all is well so far. im adding stuff back very slowly to see how it goes.
Did you run task 29 before those two first installs?? A lot of times those hangs can be from not cleaning out the old flash fully. I run task 29 and then clear storage anytime I install a new ROM.
Here is a great thread about batterylife in general:

Just a question, is your error similar to the Sleep of Death, where the phone will not wake when you sleep the phone?
yes it is similar to the sof but worse. in sod a restart fixes it. for mine i couldnt do anything until i did a hard reset. i should say that i was also getting sod before this but i could deal with that by opening the keyboard or restarting at times.

Problem with audio breaking when playing something in background and lock, any help?

Hello!!
I have an issue with my Mate8, I really don't know if this is in all phones or just in mine....
It's when a song or a video is playing, and when the power button is pressed to lock the phone, the audio breaks for like half a second, but if you press the button again to unlock, it do it again, and everytime you press the lock button.... it kinda annoys me a lot.
The rare is that this only happens when the audio is coming from the speakers; when i have anything plugged in (headphones or whatever) it dissapear, and with bluetooth headphones dissapears too.
It happens with all apps, spotify, native app, soundcloud, vlc, poweramp...etc
Thanks a lot!!
Best regards, ElĂas.

I did have this problem previously after flashing a pre-rooted rom of version B320, but it went away after I flashed the stock rom back.
Since you haven't mentioned anything about custom roms and/or rooting, I'm going to assume you're on a stock rom at the moment, in which case I'd suggest a factory reset (backup data 1st of course)
If you're running a customized rom I'd suggest discussing it in whichever thread you got that rom from as the issue may be specific to that rom

No problem, please leave feedback after if it worked or not, may just help someone else down the line...
I'm on B320 and this happens to me too! Please come back and tell us if it disappeared after a factory reset because I might do one as well.

I'm wondering if that might be a CPU usage issue, try go to settings - advanced - battery manager - power plan, and set it to performance mode to see if the problem still occurs

SOLVED!
It appears to be some setting in Nova launcher that caused this, i have to install/uninstall a lot to get into this, but 100% sure is some setting in nova, just did a clean reset of the phone and everything superb! reinstalled nova but this time, trying not to modify a lot like before and it's working perfectly.
