i got a problem with reveiving shortmessages. Sometimes when i should get a message, the screenlight goes on as usual, but then nothing more happens. No Sound, no indicator that a message has been received. Of course there is also no message in the inbox...
this only happens with 10 out of 100 messages, but nonetheless its very anoying to me...
Is this a softwarebug, a a hardwarebug or a problem from "3"....
Any Ideas?

Do you have the Aussie version of the "3" firmware? I thought it was just my phone. I'm with T-Mobile US and having the same problem. Every once in a while I'll see the screen light up but no sound and no notification. Sometimes I'll eventually get a text about 30 seconds letter and sometimes nothing comes through.

I have noticed some strange activity on my phone. Seemingly random (no rcv'ing texts, voicemails, etc), the hang up button and the middle button will light up and the call button will flash. This happens when the phone is sleeping and when I am using it. Its almost as if I am rcv'ing a call, but no one is trying to call. Any ideas?
i noticed the same thing. i think its a notification for a new text message or voicemail.
well, I suppose that is possible however I have no new texts, no notifications that should be going off at the times it is. Buggy? I run ROMeOS Fuze edition with no manila, but I noticed it on another rom (NATF maybe?)
The ongoing Skype notification on my tablet is fine and I do not wish to remove it like many other threads state, but today I updated Skype for my Eee Pad and the initial 'Skype Signed in' ticker that displays when you sign in repeatedly pops up in the bottom corner while in the app, if you are typing at the time the notification ticker text pops up the keyboard input freezes interrupting your typing. This is very annoying as while in the app the ticker pops up every 10 - 40 seconds roughly, and while in other apps when Skype is open in the background it pops up every few minutes.
Its not like Skype is losing connection either and simply telling me it has reconnected because I have asked people while this problem is occurring and they report I have a constant connection their end not alerting them that I have suddenly signed out or anything. I am also conne ted to a strong wifi signal too. Does anyone else have this issue with the latest version for Skype on their tablets?

yes! am having the exact same problem & it's very very annoying, don't know what causes it, if any one have the solution i would be grateful.
BTW: it happened even before the last update, is there a way to disable only skype notification.
You're not alone, I have it too. Could it be Honeycomb specific? Because I don't have it on my phone or ViewSonic.
I'm so glad its not just me. I will check to see if my phone has the same issue with Skype, but I do think its Honeycomb specific...
I'm wondering if anyone else is missing notifications for calls, texts and emails. People will text me and I won't get an audible notification or an led blink. Same thing for calls. It doesn't do that all the time but over the past few days I've missed calls and text messages for hours because of this. I am running the stock OS rooted.

Yes, I have the same issue. Seems to happen if I don't go back to the home screen before a screen timeout. If I let the screen time out within messages and then get a text from some one I already have a message from I won't get a notification.
Using Sense-o-maniac latest version with bricked 1.5 kernel.
No big issues on stock rom on my phone, but sometimes when I get two messages from two different people at the same time it goes a little mental and only gives a notification for the other txt. Then, later I discover I had received two instead of one messages.

I'm having something weird happening when receiving texts. Right before I get a text, my screen lights up, then vibrates and beeps, and then the screen turns off before I can even see the message or notification. It's like a weird lag. I'm running stock everything on the newest update. Is this happening to anyone else?

Do you have smart stay on? I know that when I activate smart stay and am not staring directly at the phone I get such issue
So as of recently, an irritating bug has popped up with texting. What happens is when I send a text, it'll sit at "Sending" for 2-3 minutes and then I have a notification stating "Messages has been detected using SMS" or something to that effect. I'm using Google Messages. Has anyone been having this issue? Creeped up in the last couple weeks. Phone is 100% stock, no rooting etc.
