I have broken my screen on the S710, so now i want to take it apart to see if i can find any number or so to get a new display, as the service centers price is way to high..
Can anyone point me to a guide on how to do this?

I am planning on buying a replacement case for the S710 (scratched screen and keyboard) and was wondering if anyone knows how to properly take one of these apart? I checked the Wiki's and did a search, but nothing came up. If anyone has taken one of these apart, or knows where there's a how-to, please let me know. Thanks!

I have taken mine apart multiple times, I can do it in my sleep now!

I need help, somehow i lost my 5 directions key of the non-qwertypad.
Someone can tell where i can buy a new pad and if theres is a tutorial on how to change it?

you can find the tutorial in the Vox service manual on this forum, but i have no idea from where you would get a replacement keypad.
Other than the service centre of course.

You just need the hard pad? You can glue it back on. Mine ripped off also, I haven't touched my Vox in quite some time. Wanna buy the whole thing so you have extra parts?

I already bought through e-bay the extra-parts and i'm waiting they arrive . I hope fast since the s710 looks a little odd without the d-pad.

Corporate security has become a real pain area for me.....and as a result im not allowed to carry my phone (Elfin) to work....or will be stopped soon...I cant sneak it in forever So does anyone here know how to completely remove the camera from the device? Like entirely from its casing leaving no traces behind. Would the guys at the HTC service center be of any help? I'm a die hard WM user...and dont wanna have to give it up. I've seen the Blackberry/Nokia E series and other handheld devices without cameras...and they all suck! Id really appreciate any inputs on this from anyone. Alternatively, are there any good WM devices without cameras? I had started a thread in the elf forum but got no response. Hoping for some better luck here.

You made a very big mistake and you have removed all of the smartphone because you should type format BINFS.
You must to go to a specialized service where a special equipment you repair everything from scratch!
that sucks,phone is pretty much a paper weight now. should of "format BINFS", by "format all" you deleted your bootloader.

Tornado is OMAP 850 device so it will work on it. Trying is must coz without trying, ur phone is still a paper weight.

your best bet isn to look on ebay or something for a new one, they are around $119 new and areound $50 used. good luck

first of all, thank you for your reply; no one has replyed since ages... i think it is GSM, i bought it from Orange Romania and it works with a SIM. i have windows 6.1 , an i like the fact that i can edit word documents and so on... i know nothing about the android but i would like to change my rom/software for better battery and performance (it kinda laggs although the memory is at 39% and the windows 6.1 interface is.... -.- horrible to say the leaast)
i would like a guide for stupid people that have never had the chance to temper with their phones software.
