I just received new screen for my O2 XDA orbit which is one of HTC product. has anyone have instruction how to replace screen?

is it the screen or the touch panel? the touch panel's are around £20, whereas the screen are about £45.. look at ebay..
Why don't you try any htc service centre in mumbai?

Phone HTC they will fix it I well and truly smashed my screen and broke the antenna so they fixed it. For a price.

i dropped htc inspire this am.. gna send it to htc to repair... should i UNROOT???
That would be a great idea...make sure you have S-On
1)with a shattered screen, i highly doubt they will cover you under warranty, so who cares about if its rooted/romed/etc, you pay for it to be fixed they wont care
2)my experience with my old nexus one that had dust under the screen, they replaced it no problem and i was running CM

Desire S also comes with SLCD? i thought it was AMOLED only?
No only the original desire used amoled in it's early models but then they switched to slcd. The desire s has always used slcd

I am very keen to find out how you get on. I too need a new slcd screen due to water damage. The digitizer is fine so just want to know where the best place to pick up a genuine screen replacement.
EBay is your source! Dont forget to tick worldwide at your search. Otherwise you wont see the cheap-ass china stuff

hi Iv cracked the screen on my htc desire S . does anyone have any details or

How did you crack it?
If you still have warranty, contact HTC and they could replace it for you if it wasn't self inflicted.

Like the screen cracked when you didn't self inflict it (drop it)
Happened to me before on my old phone! Didn't touch it or anything...
Tool it out my pocket later, and it had a cracked screen

If you replace the screen yourself could you post a photo of the board directly under the screen. I'd like it as a wallpaper I think it would look cool. Sorry can't help with replacing the though

So, I recently cracked the top of my screen. Digitizer still works and so does the screen (minus the small black blob from the crack on the top)
My question is, should I un-root, S-On, go back to stock and request a replacement? Will I even get another sensation seeing as I heard some people were receiving Amaze 4g's as replacement.
Or should I buy a new screen + digitizer and replace it myself?

If you have insurance I would just go that way but I would hope you don't get the amaze I don't like it and the development sucks
