And smartfon began to work much quick, loaded men'she time, anymore works from one charge!
I worked by utilities for sorting out of register, by hand cleaned a register from remote software and localizations!

There is no information on how to disable the verification of signatures and certificates before executing an application. I'm looking for disabling this, not for running applications which are not digitaly signed.
Anyway, useful information there, thanks!
Stink could you provide the registry keys involved in cert&sig verification removing?
I think there are some users that want them disabled for speed, without flashing back to WM5 .

As far as did I understand, you had because of, what corrections of register I made?

I worked straight with next files which contain the register of smartfon. Namely: defalt.hv и user.hv
In sewing a register lies vvide 2kh files - default.hv and user.hv
default.hv - there are branches in him HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
user.hv - contains HKEY_CURENT_USER branches.
That add an unlock register / we edit the keys:

To replace icons and sewing up them in ROM is possible, but it is not needed in principle to me. By the way link which you gave non-working!

If want original appearance of icons as in Wm6 that here to you CAB done kamradom ALEXX with WCE.BY, almost all of icons will be as in Wm6! Instalirovat' necessarily in memory of telephone!

I understood, a problem is not present herein. If for you my costs MOD, simply put that fail from previous posto Iconwm6.CAB If you put other sewings on WM 5, you through a register need to disconnect verification of certificates and signatures!

can i install this wm5 rom on already flashed qtek 8310 phone (wm6 pee).

xmarkom, procedure is the same as for WM6. You don't need to do SuperCID once more, but don't miss formatBinFS. And when installation will complete, sistem will boot at the first time and finishing tuning, you must turn off you smartphone and do a hard reset.

Multiple Data Sessions Hack (Simultaneous)

Okay here is the super short super simple cooking tip/hack that is great for Multiple APN's & being able to utilize BES, BIS, Blackberry Connect, AcvtiveSync, & your primary data connections (i.e. MediaNet, etc...) at the same time
There is a simple provisioning XML that makes registry changes related to the RIL settings. In your dumped ROM folders locate the "OEM" Folder & within the OEM folder locate OperatorPKG.
Within the OperatorPKG you will find this provisioning XML:

Change this value to "5" & you will have multi-apn's at least where bbc & primary data (medianet, etc.) are concerned. The final revised xml doc should now look like this:

I've also been playing with 4 as a setting & while it also allows ISP + BBC + MediaNet, (from time to time) it is still only works intermitently. The 5 value is solid as a rock though!
Make this change & your BBC ROM users will thank you as they will no longer have to Kill one data session to use the other!

It's Persistent Registry. Any boot, or system level function & the value will revert to the that ascribed by the xml. So, for example AT&T limits it to one connection at any given time to save B/W. If you edited it with a registry explorer & then played around changing things or reboot, the value they set in the xml will return.

yes on every reboot or cold start the default.hv and the boot.hv are rebuilt from scatch hence why back in the hermes days turning clear type on in land scape never stuck after a reboot Its always better to change the .rovxml or .xml files and or cook the settings you like into the rom by editing the .hv files while cooking using regucomp

So it reverts only on boot, or calling functions into the kernel too? Seems overly paranoid for it to do that for system functions.
Well, if it's only on boot, I can build an extension to KaiserSimFix that'll restore previous settings. Read a user-defined XML or something to "restore". Or KaiserTweak can do this too if can be set to run after boot, for those running the vanilla ROMs.

Don't think so. The provisiong xml's are all rom protected. You may be able to create a new provisioning xml & use something like SK Tools to import it, but I've never tried it & don't know if the imported overwrite would stick. Give it a try.

Maybe it just me then. I was on
Dutty Hybrid WM6.1[April 1] and can't get t-mobile Internet working together with BBC connection at the same time.
So I just flash the Dutty Hybrid WM6.1 [April 9], all default condition. using the built in network config to set to t-mobile uk gprs setting, using reg edit to change the add on version to 0.4.2 as suggested in wiki and install BBC 4.0.0.97. everything works fine(bbc can get ping, and connected etc) but just can't get both connection on. as before. once BBC connected, if you try to using IE and start t-mobile internet connection, it kick BBC off. btw my radio version is 1.58.16.27 if that would make any difference....
With all the rom I been tried so far, it almost like to me the xml change does not effect my issue here. Any Suggestion GSLEON3?

Don't know what to tell you. I dug thru the rom's specifically to find a solution to this issue for Dutty's rom. I use BBC & wanted both MediaNet & BBC working on Dutty, Dutty's ROM was the whole reason I even looked into the issue. I beta'd both of those roms for Dutty & both worked for me. I currently am using a moddified IMGFS version of the April 1 Hybrid to post this via MediaNet & I'm still connected to BBC.

ok so call me stupid but how do i get two data sessions working at the same time? i want to use media net for push email but i want to use MyIsp for internet how do i do that?

i am posting here because this kinda seems relevant to my question:
when on edge in att network internet is automatically suspended when a call is answered and stays suspended for the entire duration of the call. connection stays activ in 3g and hsdpa.
Is there any want to keep connection active while on edge or this can't be done due to limitations of edge?

Help Creating a CAB from XML

I'm trying to add a registry key for Microsoft Activesync DeviceID's so I can manage mobile devices at work and restrict OWA access that fails to meet one of the pre-approved device ID's we've approved. Unfortunatly after I create the _setup.xml and run the makecab _setup.xml Activesync.cab it fails to run properly. Can someone take a look at my code below and see if I missing something?? For security reason's I've * out the value of the deviceID.

I'll be honest I thought this was pretty simple until I've spent the last several hours trying to figure this out. The only CAB that was sucessful was the one that I had created via

If you look at the ActivesyncDevice and create that cab it runs sucessfully on my device and the registry is changed properly. In the end I guess I can use that cab, but really I'd like to understand why mine isn't working as opposed to always using this website. (Still thank you for the website) The only thing that comes to mind is maybe I'm created the cab incorrectly??

Nevermind. I'm an idiot... Forgot the quotes around the device id. DOH!!!

Can you provide a little more info on how you're managing your devices?
Specifically, how are you creating the deviceID's for your devices?
Also, have you had any instances where the deviceID changes after a hard reset or some other set of circumstances?
If one of your users does do a hard reset, then do they have to rerun your CAB file so that the correct DeviceID gets set?

I have 6.1 on my phone, so I'm not sure the location is gonna be the same. But on 6.1 you go to the following;
Start > Settings
Select Connections tab
Select Connections icon
Select Advanced tab
Select Exceptions button
After I did that, I was able to do a search for what I added to find the location in the registry.

I need it for provisioning, i have to configure 30 PDAs, and i dont wont to do it manually.
I had the same idea, add a exception and search in the registry....but i dont find anything i add. Anyway now it works.

wm 6.5 for I617

From this BBS, it looks like WM 6.5 is indeed out, as of 11/27/09 there has been progress on the issue. They are using WM 6.5 28004 derived from the Qing Shadow DIYROM, and based from the 1115 edition of WM 6.1. More specific log changes and general information could be accessed from the URLs below for those fluent in chinese.
It looks like the issue still stands on the Blackjack II's display problems, having trouble in specific to anything on the OS related to LayeredWindows. This would result in animated icons to become very slow and allow only a black background. Transparent effects will be removed, however, but the core WM 6.5 functions would be retained while overlaid a WM6.1-esque experience. A fix has been issued, changing this registry value:

This would allow for a smooth experience on WM 6.5, and the Titanium Slide will still function according to the source. Also, they claim to have a bug similar to the i200 on WM 6.5, where you would need to alter Alert_Subtle in the Windows folder of the device, and edit the file via text editor (directions on the BBS for the fix says there would be an option in menu to edit when you are accessing the file, and then you would simply just delete random portions so that the file is read different and save). The problem is related to either a continuously playing ringtone or a ringtone that freezes/hangs (unsure, using Google Translate on this BBS).
I wish I could provide links and a screenshot, but Google Translate only got me this far, I'll need someone to help me test it. In order for me to test it, I'd have to register, and their captcha requires chinese characters to be inputted on the dropdown box..
Also, looks like this BBS is just as anxious as many other i617 owners, waiting for the developer to continue developing a stable release of 6.5. This, however, seems to be the first working implementation, so many congratulations to original poster py8 for the development of Ya-Black 28004 build of 6.5 for the i617! Also, thank you Shabudabu for posting the first link to allow me to deliver this information

I was able to download the rom - I got past the captcha (not sure how - I moused over it and it showed english characters). The rom is here:

Download FlashGet first and click the 3rd red button - it will launch flashget and start downloading it. Hopefully someone can use this - I imagine some language modification will be needed.
You don't need a login to download it or anything.

Thank you so much for getting this far! Strangely, when I click on the button, it launches FlashGet appropriately, and then it will fail to download it properly..are you using Firefox? I tried downloading with FlashGet 3.3.

i was able to create an account and download three files from the chinese forum(post 4), no roms. all zipped txt files. one zip has a link to a rom at rayfile but the site requires you to download its software, raysource, to download. ill attach the three zips here.

First post.
So I'm a noob with these ROMs and stuff. I usually do iPhone stuff (jailbreaking, unlocking, etc).
So I have a few Blackjack II's (AT&T). How would I go about getting 6.5 on here? Is it too early to have clear-cut instructions?

Alright so I was able to get the file for 11-27 downloaded. I'm at this screen:
What do I need to do now?

Funny enough, I haven't been able to get the ROM yet..still had trouble downloading it with FlashGet..would you be able to rehost the file? I'll put it on my account so everyone can get it without going through the trouble, or better yet, attach it on the thread.
You're very close though, but first things first, because the ROM's in chinese (at least according to the screenshots), best to find a way to translate or change the default language to english and then install/make modifications to make 6.5 more stable.

The ROM should have a settings for English, right? Do you happen to have Skype? I'd like to get 6.5 on this thing soon .

Yes, I do, but sadly I'm tied with some things tonight. Tomorrow I'll be on here and there, but I know that you will use the bin file to flash the phone..just forgot which of the three you would have to choose. I used the official i617 6.1 ROM updater which had a similar flasher, but of course the three files were chosen by default and didn't need much intervention.

The OP has posted on this particular thread some instructions in a thread attachment to update cooked/custom ROMs for the i617.

Hmm... I would stick the 6.5 .bin file into the phone section of the program, but I'm afraid it's going to erase all the things that are currently on the device, such as contacts.
Speaking of contacts, is there an alternative to Outlook when it comes to syncing them? I just need to back those up somewhere. I have Office 2010 (public beta) and the Windows Mobile Device Center app doesn't seem to think that it's installed.

Yes, during a ROM update, you will have to backup all information you have on the phone, photos, music, contacts, etc.
My Blackjack 2 has a list of tools/utilities you can use before you proceed with your flash.
My update is that I'm having minor difficulty letting the flasher file detect my phone, it claims that the device is not found when it's in download mode so I did factory reset and trying again. Will update to see how things are soon.

Thanks, although the BlackJack 2 I'm working with doesn't have internet access. Unless I swap SIMs with my iPhone 3G... Actually, I'll install Office 2007 + WMDC onto another computer to backup my stuff. The only thing I need to back up are all the contacts. All the music is stored onto the 4GB MicroSD card.

I've been trying to run the image downloader, but all I get is [PDA]Device Not Found as an error. Strangely enough, the stock WM 6.1 updater doesn't pick up the device even though I've reinstalled the drivers and rebooted. I've also ran the updater on an XP machine to no avail.
I'm sort of at a loss, and uncertain why even the WM official 6.1 ROM upgrader cannot detect my device. This is done when in download mode or on modem mode in USB settings. Any expertise in this category?
EDIT 12/24/09 2:16 AM: Okay, so I've gotten the device to flash back to 6.1 WM just to see if I can ensure connectivity between the device for specifically ROM upgrading. Looks like it's doing fine. I'm going to finish this reflash and then try again once it's done reflashing to use the i608 installer for the 6.5 ROM. Phew..what a night.
EDIT 12/24/09 3:40 AM: No luck still, the phone in Download Mode cannot be detected by the i608 ROM downloader. I've ran it on a virtual machine, yet it would not even see the device. I'm at a total loss as to why I'm able to ROM update 6.1 official but the installer refuses to recognize my device's existence. If anyone could point us in the right direction, can you explain or assist in why the ROM downloader does not recognize my device despite my numerous attempts to reinstall the drivers?

Seems to be working for me - I just put the phone in download mode (back + vol up + power on) while the updater app is running and it pops up. Did you have activesync installed, but the activesync process (wcescomm.exe + wcesmgr.exe + rapimgr.exe) NOT running? That's important.
I've got it loaded - I'm working on looking to see if there are any other languages built in.

I'll try later today to see if I can get activesync on the virtual machine or my XP rig then and use the activesync killer program. I take it win7 won't suffice then right? Haha..

I've never had luck with Win7 and rom flashing - always had to use XP.
I've got the ROM loaded, and I was able to change the language to US English. Unfortunately, it only changed a few of the menus to english - most are still in chinese. I'm going to unpack the rom and see if I can't change it over more fully. I'm not that great with it, though - have no idea if it will work.
