I present your attention the renewed release of sewing of WM 5 Lite Final on the basis of Ver2.5.323.3 for Qtek 8310 & Qtek 8300 by Stink!

7) Verification of signatures is cleaned

9) Fully collected register and neatly cleaned. Tuning of types is added, change of inscription of SMS of reports, cleaned from different remote software, tvik is done, on that, at the use of garniture, a sound enters now only garniture.a register now can be boldly named fully optimized.

If you removed this, the application start faster (theoretically this should be happen)?

And smartfon began to work much quick, loaded men'she time, anymore works from one charge!
I worked by utilities for sorting out of register, by hand cleaned a register from remote software and localizations!

There is no information on how to disable the verification of signatures and certificates before executing an application. I'm looking for disabling this, not for running applications which are not digitaly signed.

Stink could you provide the registry keys involved in cert&sig verification removing?
I think there are some users that want them disabled for speed, without flashing back to WM5 .

As far as did I understand, you had because of, what corrections of register I made?

I worked straight with next files which contain the register of smartfon. Namely: defalt.hv и user.hv
In sewing a register lies vvide 2kh files - default.hv and user.hv
default.hv - there are branches in him HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
user.hv - contains HKEY_CURENT_USER branches.
That add an unlock register / we edit the keys:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies]
"00001001"=dword:00000001
"00001005"=dword:000000DE
"00001006"=dword:00000001
"00001017"=dword:000000DE
"0000101a"=dword:00000001

And so we get unlock sew on sewings by default!

To replace icons and sewing up them in ROM is possible, but it is not needed in principle to me. By the way link which you gave non-working!
If want original appearance of icons as in Wm6 that here to you CAB done kamradom ALEXX with WCE.BY, almost all of icons will be as in Wm6! Instalirovat' necessarily in memory of telephone!

I understood, a problem is not present herein. If for you my costs MOD, simply put that fail from previous posto Iconwm6.CAB If you put other sewings on WM 5, you through a register need to disconnect verification of certificates and signatures!

xmarkom, procedure is the same as for WM6. You don't need to do SuperCID once more, but don't miss formatBinFS. And when installation will complete, sistem will boot at the first time and finishing tuning, you must turn off you smartphone and do a hard reset.

Requirements
You MUST have an IPL and SPL at 2.xx or higher (BOTH not just one or the other).
You MUST be running ActiveSync 4.5 on Windows XP (Vista comes with the correct sync utility, although there have been issues reported about Vista and sync'ing with PPC's so be aware of that).
Before you attempt to upgrade to this ROM, Please follow this thread to learn how to flash roms and CID unlock, and how to fix issues you may run into! It is also recommended that you flash your phone with a Windows XP computer and not Vista. It will work with Vista, but if you run into problems Vista can't talk to a phone in Bootloader mode!

Recomendations:
It is HIGHLY Recommended that you flash back to an official rom before upgrading to this (or any) custom rom so you have a clean base (and correct any Extended ROM corruption you might have). G4 users would flash back to their provider's latest official release. G3 users can use T-Mobile 2.26 for a good base.
It is STRONGLY recommended that you use the T-Mobile 2.19 UK Radio (this is a must for Cingular/AT&T customers). Newer Radio versions tend to have missed calls and SMS messages (just like with all other WM6 ROMs). G4 users need to do their research for flashing splash screens, radio's etc.

I've been using it ever since it was released to the Sbsh forum members. We always get to try out new "releases" to report bugs before they're offered to the general public. I've been using it instead of phone alarm . . . much easier on the memory resources and doesn't take up much real estate on the screen.
BTW -- I'd LOVE to BETA test the Titanium ROM. . . looks like it's right up my alley
Good to know that there is some interest, but I'm still working on a couple of things before I release this to the public.
How's this rom with missed calls. I had to ditch every wm6 version I've tried because they missed to many.

When I had missed calls the phone had stopped working and I didn't know it until I tried to make a call. once I rebooted I had messages (voice mail) but if they didn't leave a message there was no indication. Same as if the phone had been turned off.

Hmmm. This looks like it has potential. One thing as much as I like PhoneWeaver I don't think you should include it built into the ROM. If the user doesn't want it they have no way to delete it. Plus I'm not sure how Amit @ SBSH looks on it being included in a custom build that is being distributed. Just my 2 cents.

I'd just call my voicemail and check messages. Never got any notifications of these phantom missed calls or voicemails. I think I was using a 2.25 radio though. 2.19 doesn't miss them? Thats weird how an older version works better with a newer os. since this one is an official wizard wm6, i was wondering if it had an official wm6 radio, but giving the pictures a closer look i see the 2.19 there.

I can see in your page http://gullum.4shared.com that Greek language is missing from the suported language images for the touch dual keyboard. Is there any way to create a cab for that too? For everything you may need, many greeks are here.
Or as an alternative, is there any way for us of tweaking of any configuration file and make the touch dual keyboard to support the greek language?

no sorry there are some other files that need to be canged.
because changing the mui will make the os look in folder that are not there
startup folder is called something else in french same with all other standard folders
i've only noticed four \windows subfolders with localized names
-Favorites (Favoris)
-Programs (Programmes)
-Startup (Démarrage)
-Start menu (Menu démarrer)
How retarded is this, should'nt wm6 use $path variables for this stuff ?

sup Gullum...im feeling this rom. fast...but in all fairness i can't tell the difrence between this...duty and helmi's rom....i guess because the kaiser is such an excelent device. i guess it comes down to the reliablity of a rom and the flavor. im really digging your customizing style though...great job. One thing though....that blasted xt9. i tried using the zipped files on dutty's post...

I found this information on http://myg900.com/index.php?showtopic=199 which gives additional information on how to remove XT9 completely, albeit on a different device. I found just changing the registry entries above though disabled XT9 and makes it simple enough to re-enable at some point in the future. A side effect of disabling XT9 on my device also seems to be that both the 'Touch Keyboard' and 'Touch Keypad' have now become a full 40 key keyboard, albeit with no word completion.
Having looked through the registry I found that the following registry entry controls the font size used when entering new text messages:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox]
"RichEditHostFontSize"="10"
You can change the value to whatever you feel is appropriate. I think 10 is the same size as I had on my previous ROM.

okay now that i got the tx9 madness out the way....i'm setting everything back up...lets see how it goes. so far so good

Great Job NTS, Fast for sure. One small item. You have the older "Windows Live" still on, no big deal, I just updated it. You really outdone yourself with the cingular NTS settings cab. After I install that, I have a 5 bar salute. and that is on any rom that I have flashed.

i have only one problem at now with this rom.
when i try to install a new keybddr.dll for correct my keyboard layout.
all my hard buttons stop to work, my screen stop to turn when the hard keyboard is open, and all the shortcutes on start menu begins with a "&"

One question though what are the "Standard NTS Rom Tweaks"? Meaning what reg tweaks are built in and what have been left out but are still recomended.

Dude this is the first time I ever upgraded my mda all I have to say is you are a genius but I have one little delimma I want to let you know about. for some reason I can't send or recieve mms messages. would you be able to help? But other than that I love everything ESPECIALLY tetris. Thats like the best part

Does it have this problem?
The base rom has a bug / feature where if GPRS is active, unanswered calls may not show up as a missed call and may not give notification of the unanswered call. If this happens, the unanswered call shows up in the history as an answered call with a duration of 1 or 2 seconds.
This is making me nuts, i cannot afford to miss call notifications
The only roms without this problems are TNT based so far...

In short, no. The camera hardware is still 1.3MP.
3.0 refers to the version of the Camera software.

In all honesty, I have yet to see this problem. It works fine for me. As for "features" from T-Mobile, thats why I stay with Cing/AT&T

I like the older version of Windows Live, mainly cause, I dont use it. LOL. But its there for the using if you want.

Ok, WHAT???? I have no idea about this. This is the first time ive heard of anyone having to load a DLL to correct Keyboard layout. Have you check to see what the code is for reg to make it have your correct layout. I know for US its 0409. Check to see if Brazil has one. It might be easier and may not have the aweful effect you are having with the ROM

You need to make sure your Carrier settings are setup correctly. You would be the first that would not be able to do that on a rom I have released.
As for tetris, I miss the music, but the game is fun.

One question though have you ever used PointUI ? I have downloaded it n tried using it myself and really like the style and simplicity of it. Is there anyway u can cook it into any future releases n kinda somehow make it the only thing shown without all the regular today screen and such. Ofcourse only after they figure out how to get the hardware buttons working though. But still its something I hope u keep in mind for future ideas

I am very glad to see your stripped GSM TreoPro 6.1 ROM comes out, in fact, I am dealing with the same thing on a Chinese forum, and after low-memory-costing ROM published, I moved to OEM package design.
It could be much more logical for us to publish OEM packages instead of custom roms, one reason is ROM core never change, still 'build 19216', another is people want their own localized & personalized ROM anyway.

oh, sorry for that,
1 please kindly follow that link, and click 'English' on the top right of your page
2 and now your web page should display with English letters, then select 'ToDownloadPage' & waiting for another page to pop up
3 click 'Raysource' button in that newly opened page to start downloading.
4 oh, before i forgot, the most important thing is you need to install 'Raysource' application first, which you can get from http://static.rayfile.com/en/client/
Plus: make sure dis-select OEM package['Ziti_YaHei' & 'Ziti_ClearType'] in the kitchen once your downloading finish, because those two OEM packages are Chinese language support & customize tool.
The path of those two packages is [dump\SYS\19216\SHARED\COMMON]

For other non-Chinese people you can change the RaySource program into English as well:
- Open the program Raysource
- Click on the icon in your traybar
- Click on the item which has an arrow next to it and choose the second option.
Download is slow but the program has a resume option.

2 of my siblings use the E71. very nice hardware but s60 is not for me. My treo pro is pretty beat up already but I still haven't found a replacement yet.

For a while I've had the E71 before. Together with the Treo Pro it was hard to decide what to keep. Both have their pro's and cons. Since I've got the Touch Pro 2 the TP became more obsolete and served as a backup device.

Hi, anyone have the ROM for 6.5 on SGH-i617? on the other hand im trying to enable the GPS on this Phone, first i Install the MoDaco GPS Activator and the try to use Live Search or Garmin XT without results....any idea?

From this BBS, it looks like WM 6.5 is indeed out, as of 11/27/09 there has been progress on the issue. They are using WM 6.5 28004 derived from the Qing Shadow DIYROM, and based from the 1115 edition of WM 6.1. More specific log changes and general information could be accessed from the URLs below for those fluent in chinese.
It looks like the issue still stands on the Blackjack II's display problems, having trouble in specific to anything on the OS related to LayeredWindows. This would result in animated icons to become very slow and allow only a black background. Transparent effects will be removed, however, but the core WM 6.5 functions would be retained while overlaid a WM6.1-esque experience. A fix has been issued, changing this registry value:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ GWE]
"EnableLayeredWindows"=dword:1 "EnableLayeredWindows" = dword: 1
This would allow for a smooth experience on WM 6.5, and the Titanium Slide will still function according to the source. Also, they claim to have a bug similar to the i200 on WM 6.5, where you would need to alter Alert_Subtle in the Windows folder of the device, and edit the file via text editor (directions on the BBS for the fix says there would be an option in menu to edit when you are accessing the file, and then you would simply just delete random portions so that the file is read different and save). The problem is related to either a continuously playing ringtone or a ringtone that freezes/hangs (unsure, using Google Translate on this BBS).
I wish I could provide links and a screenshot, but Google Translate only got me this far, I'll need someone to help me test it. In order for me to test it, I'd have to register, and their captcha requires chinese characters to be inputted on the dropdown box..
Also, looks like this BBS is just as anxious as many other i617 owners, waiting for the developer to continue developing a stable release of 6.5. This, however, seems to be the first working implementation, so many congratulations to original poster py8 for the development of Ya-Black 28004 build of 6.5 for the i617! Also, thank you Shabudabu for posting the first link to allow me to deliver this information

I was able to download the rom - I got past the captcha (not sure how - I moused over it and it showed english characters). The rom is here:

Download FlashGet first and click the 3rd red button - it will launch flashget and start downloading it. Hopefully someone can use this - I imagine some language modification will be needed.

Thank you so much for getting this far! Strangely, when I click on the button, it launches FlashGet appropriately, and then it will fail to download it properly..are you using Firefox? I tried downloading with FlashGet 3.3.
i was able to create an account and download three files from the chinese forum(post 4), no roms. all zipped txt files. one zip has a link to a rom at rayfile but the site requires you to download its software, raysource, to download. ill attach the three zips here.

So I'm a noob with these ROMs and stuff. I usually do iPhone stuff (jailbreaking, unlocking, etc).
So I have a few Blackjack II's (AT&T). How would I go about getting 6.5 on here? Is it too early to have clear-cut instructions?
Alright so I was able to get the file for 11-27 downloaded. I'm at this screen:

Funny enough, I haven't been able to get the ROM yet..still had trouble downloading it with FlashGet..would you be able to rehost the file? I'll put it on my account so everyone can get it without going through the trouble, or better yet, attach it on the thread.
You're very close though, but first things first, because the ROM's in chinese (at least according to the screenshots), best to find a way to translate or change the default language to english and then install/make modifications to make 6.5 more stable.

The ROM should have a settings for English, right? Do you happen to have Skype? I'd like to get 6.5 on this thing soon .
Yes, I do, but sadly I'm tied with some things tonight. Tomorrow I'll be on here and there, but I know that you will use the bin file to flash the phone..just forgot which of the three you would have to choose. I used the official i617 6.1 ROM updater which had a similar flasher, but of course the three files were chosen by default and didn't need much intervention.

The OP has posted on this particular thread some instructions in a thread attachment to update cooked/custom ROMs for the i617.

Hmm... I would stick the 6.5 .bin file into the phone section of the program, but I'm afraid it's going to erase all the things that are currently on the device, such as contacts.
Speaking of contacts, is there an alternative to Outlook when it comes to syncing them? I just need to back those up somewhere. I have Office 2010 (public beta) and the Windows Mobile Device Center app doesn't seem to think that it's installed.

Yes, during a ROM update, you will have to backup all information you have on the phone, photos, music, contacts, etc.
My Blackjack 2 has a list of tools/utilities you can use before you proceed with your flash.
My update is that I'm having minor difficulty letting the flasher file detect my phone, it claims that the device is not found when it's in download mode so I did factory reset and trying again. Will update to see how things are soon.

Thanks, although the BlackJack 2 I'm working with doesn't have internet access. Unless I swap SIMs with my iPhone 3G... Actually, I'll install Office 2007 + WMDC onto another computer to backup my stuff. The only thing I need to back up are all the contacts. All the music is stored onto the 4GB MicroSD card.

I've been trying to run the image downloader, but all I get is [PDA]Device Not Found as an error. Strangely enough, the stock WM 6.1 updater doesn't pick up the device even though I've reinstalled the drivers and rebooted. I've also ran the updater on an XP machine to no avail.
I'm sort of at a loss, and uncertain why even the WM official 6.1 ROM upgrader cannot detect my device. This is done when in download mode or on modem mode in USB settings. Any expertise in this category?
EDIT 12/24/09 2:16 AM: Okay, so I've gotten the device to flash back to 6.1 WM just to see if I can ensure connectivity between the device for specifically ROM upgrading. Looks like it's doing fine. I'm going to finish this reflash and then try again once it's done reflashing to use the i608 installer for the 6.5 ROM. Phew..what a night.
EDIT 12/24/09 3:40 AM: No luck still, the phone in Download Mode cannot be detected by the i608 ROM downloader. I've ran it on a virtual machine, yet it would not even see the device. I'm at a total loss as to why I'm able to ROM update 6.1 official but the installer refuses to recognize my device's existence. If anyone could point us in the right direction, can you explain or assist in why the ROM downloader does not recognize my device despite my numerous attempts to reinstall the drivers?
Seems to be working for me - I just put the phone in download mode (back + vol up + power on) while the updater app is running and it pops up. Did you have activesync installed, but the activesync process (wcescomm.exe + wcesmgr.exe + rapimgr.exe) NOT running? That's important.
I've got it loaded - I'm working on looking to see if there are any other languages built in.
I'll try later today to see if I can get activesync on the virtual machine or my XP rig then and use the activesync killer program. I take it win7 won't suffice then right? Haha..

I've never had luck with Win7 and rom flashing - always had to use XP.
I've got the ROM loaded, and I was able to change the language to US English. Unfortunately, it only changed a few of the menus to english - most are still in chinese. I'm going to unpack the rom and see if I can't change it over more fully. I'm not that great with it, though - have no idea if it will work.
