Yes the 2003 (ARM), and the 2003 (SE) are different. Did your friend have a hardware button on his device already set up for GPRS disconnect? I don't see how you can map internet disconnect to a hardware button on your 2003. Unfortunately in order for you to quit is to contine turning flight mode on or simply removing the sim card, or tapping on the comm mgr. icon (system tray at bottom of today screen), and tap on the device icon to disconnect. The icon should change from yellow to gray.

can use software??
we are same instal wisbar, the difference, my friend have disconnected fungtion but actually is same icon but not have disconnected fungtion, what wrong?? do you have the software for solved that problem? just tap enable/disable GPRS...thx

Active Synch Won't Synch On MDA II

I seem to have everything connected properly but no recognition of the MDA II takes place.
Suggestions?
Does Activesync attempt to connect? - If not, then check the connection settings in Activesync to make sure that the USB option is enabled. If it tries to connect, then check whether a firewall is blocking the connection.
i had that problems some times
i always solved it by 1 or 2
1. softreset of xda
2. opened activesync opened taskmanager choose go to process and killed it and started activesync once more

Can't disconnect GPRS after 1.11 ROM upgrading

All work fine after upgrading, but when I try to break GPRS connection, I can't do this, because Disconnect button has disappeared. When IE try to open any link it initiate GPRS connection, but GPRS don't disconnect automatically when I close IE. I can drop GPRS connection only by editing it in settings. Some idea?
I had the same problem and I installed SPB gprs monitor. Now I can connect and disconnect plus many other options.
You can press the red receiver button for 2-3 seconds, that does the trick.
I use a GPRS tweak utility (free)
http://www.gb-soft.cz/XDAII/product_gprs_tweak_en.htm
This allows for automatic disconnect, enabling the disconenct button etc etc
I do not upgrade the rom but try pressing the hand up button for 3 sec.
Download this file: Orange_GPRS_Desconnect.sa from http://larsvdberg.speedlinq.nl
Put it on your mda
Run it, and the disconnect button wil appear once you have a connection with GPRS, tap on the G logo with the two arrows and voila!

Windows Mobile Device Center Problems

Is anyone else having problems lately? It used to work fine with my Treo 750 or with my Tilt, until a week ago. It will longer start up when the device is connected or by going tp start>programs>WMDC. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled about8 times with no luck. Firewall is off so its not that
That usually happens if you happened to sync with another computer on any of the available connection methods. I recommend you delete the connection profile in WMDC after disconnecting your device, followed by deleting the sync profile from the Sync Manager in Windows Vista (if there is one), then deleting your connection profile on ActiveSynce on your Treo, then restart BOTH your computer and your Treo, and then reconnect and rebuild the sync profile as your Treo or Windows says it should be done... this applies to all Windows Mobile devices...
WMDC sure is finicky little piece of..... nevermind... :-D
I hope it works for you!
I would retart it, but I cant get WMDC or Sync to open on my PC. I think Im just gonna try to upgrade my PC to Ultimate and see it that does it. otherwise Its gonna be dual booting with XP
open up windows firewall and add an exception for wmdc.exe (or the specific ports if you do a google search for wmdc ports).
Worked fine for me after that.
Anyone here tired of that installed FBI agent Windows Vista comes with? lol
I myself cannot, and have not ever been able to sync my tytn II to my vista.
I can get the computer to recognize the connection, but cannot get wmdc to.

I have the same problem... how do you solved it?
Thanks

To pull this off you will need a second account on your Vista machine.
Click start and >> switch user. Login to your alternate windows profile.
Run WMDC. You will notice that it works on this profile. Once it finds your device, log off switch back to your main profile.
In my case this allowed WMDC to continue recognising my device and synchronisation worked fine.
i found this after more than a day on forums!
that worked only one time so the new one found: on the forums..
It requires to edit (or create) a DWORD registry key called “AllowLSP” on the desktop, in the following registry path:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows CE Services]
The possible decimal values are:
0: Bypass LSPs for incoming and outgoing connections.
1: Bypass LSPs for incoming connection and use LSPs for outgoing connection.
2: Use LSPs for incoming and bypass LPSs outgoing connections.
3: Use LSPs for incoming and outgoing connections.

Start action when switch off ppc

Does somebody knows a program that switches reliable the GPRS/UMTS connection off when I press the power (off) button on my ppc (HTC 7500)?
- From time to time especially when Opera is open and for a longer time there is no traffic over the internet connection I loose my IP address and only a reset brings the ppc in a status where I can reconnect to the internet.

Internet sharing freezes during PC standby

Hi,
I'm using an O2 XDA Orbit 2 (HTC Polaris) with vintage WM6.1 to connect my Vista laptop to the internet.
The internet sharing app on the phone normally works fine, but whenever my laptop enters standby mode and the connection sharing is active, it freezes and can only be reactivated by soft-resetting the phone.
As opposed to that, suspend to disk and shutting down the laptop work fine - the app simply diconnects.
Is this a known problem and are there any patches or fixes for it?
