Vista + Office 2007 + Docx cannot sync!

Is this normal? the new Office 2007 documents come with a letter x extension like .docx
The problem is windows mobile 6 cannot recognize the file, let a alone synchronize the file. Any work around for this? Why would microsoft introduce a new file extension that windows mobile 6 cannot support? I could still understand if Windows Mobile 5 cannot support. but At least the new Windows Mobile 6 should be able to support the file type.
Thanks
WM6 will sync .docx files, the problem is, it is pointless. docx is a new format of the .doc file. that comes only in office 2k7 and is incompatible with any earlier version of office, including pocket verson.
Anyway, for you to be able to view .docx files, on any ppc, just save it as Office 2003/XP compatible format. and then sync.

EXE for PDA file from Internet Shortcut

I was wondering if anybody can point me in the right direction to create a EXE file that will launch a specific URL and hold the icon file in it.
I use a program called "Webguide" for my Media Center PC and that "E" with the page on it is a standard internet explorer shortcut icon, I would like the favicon to appear for launch purposes in SPB Shell or elsewhere.
Bump.. Bump...

Changing Calendar Shortcut

How do I Change calendar shortcut on manila 2d
2d to a different calendar program?
I.E. Pocket Informant. Thanks
if pocket informant doesn't require additional dlls from it's own dir you can rename it's exe to calendar.exe and copy it over the original calendar.exe
when you click the cal in M2D it will load it instead of the original one.
make sure you backup the original calendar.
also you can hexedit m2d.exe to point to a different prog, but you will need it in the windows folder.
(mine is set for thumbcal)
I have renamed to PI in the registry, but it still opens windows calendar. Anyone else get PI to work?
BUMP....Anyone???
anyone figure this out yet

*.pwi notes editor for windows?

Is there a program that can open and edit Windows Mobile Notes Files (*.pwi)?
I know i could convert them with PocketWord. But having a editor/viewer for Windows XP would be much faster and more useful.
Those files are in the notes section of outlook. You can edit them there.
Sorry..i forgot to mention..i dont use outlook.

I'm trying to find text editors and file browsers for Windows Phone 7, but the Windows Store doesn't show many. Are there any out there that don't require rooting?
