I have just installed WM6 on my Qtek 9100, with this ROM:
ROM version: 10.2.0.8
ROM date: 2/03/07
Radio Version: 02.19.11
Protocol Version: 4.1.13.09
Now, this is really cool but I thought it had this new Touchflo which I wanted to try...Now here's the question:
Isn't there a cab file or something to install it without having to look for a new ROM, downgrade, install it again and all that stuff? I think it would be useful.

if you want TouchFLO, you must replace touch.dll with a touch.dll compatible with touch flo technology, and this replacing can't be done while the OS running, so it must be edited on the rom you want
Oh, so I have to install it again huh...
Do you know any good room with it inside? Do I have to dowgrade to something special or can I install it like right now?

there are many of TouchFLO roms like:
- TNT 5.0
- NBD 9.1
- Black Diamond 2.0
- See No Evil
go to every rom thread and check out the feedback, but the latest one is the first
for instructions how to get the best steps, check TNT 5.0 instructions

Hi,
I've created a BETA ROM for the G3 Prophet (G4 version will follow later)
This ROM will upgrade your SPL to 2.20.000
This ROM will upgrade your Radio to 02.47.21
This ROM contains the PDAMobiz Final AKU 2.3 OS (2.15 WWE)
This ROM contains my own stripped version of the ExtRom.
I have not cleaned the PDAMobiz OS ROM, so the files are still there, however nothing is installed via the ExtRom.
I will look at this later.
I've been running this version for a day now without problems, but further testing is needed.
Just download, run the file and after the upgrade is done, hard reset your Prophet (hold down both the camera and comm manager buttons on the side while pressing the reset button)

WWE = english
my own stripped Extrom = deleted software from the standard pdamobiz version because I think they have put too much junk in there. (they make a great rom, but i like a cleaner version and I will add programs myself later)

This ROM does not (yet) contain a IPL, so if you upgrade using this ROM, your IPL will stay the same...
G4 version posted (see first post)
Warning, as I don't have a G4 version, i couldnt test this with my own phone, but it should work without problems.

The problem is that not many ROM include the IPL, so its hard to find one, unless somebody who has a high IPL (2.15 or 2.20) make a ROM dump for me so the ROM makers can use it

I'm looking for a ROM which includes an IPL (version 2.15 or 2.20) I've only found one ROM so far (the dutch one on the FTP site) that contains an IPL version (old 2.10) could you ask the qtek.se site if they have an ROM containing and IPL update ?
It would help me building a complete update ROM

- Decompress and run de exe file. Don't close your grey installing window.
- Locate the just created temporary directory, something like:
C:\Documents and settings\username\local config\temp\rarXX , or pftxx or the like (look by time/date, it's, something created one minute before your current time)
- Copy the full directory and contents to somewhere else in your PC.
- Close the still opened grey window
- get ROMUpdateUtility_NoID.exe from the forum, and copy to the directory you just moved to your pc
- from this "new" directory you copied in your PC, execute ROMUpdateUtility_NoID.exe
It worked for me. Good Luck

The extended rom of this rom is only swedish specifiq or does it have other mobile carriers defenitions from other countries????

For those of you that are uncertain about this new ROM. The installation did go fine, and with Sprite upgrade program I did not loose any files or programs in the process. Stable, and I have my Qtek splashscreen back!!
Please note that since not all S200's are S200's, I had to use the NoID utility to upgrade.

This is based from the new S200 Qtek WWE ROM (thx mwiberg)
This is a very clean ROM, only the standard stuff is included, plus some patches in the ExtRom.
This ROM will upgrade your SPL to 2.20.000

lvsw has the AKU 2.3 ROM (base pdamobiz rom but stripped the "junk" )
This ROM is AKU 2.2 (basicly the official shipped version but the qtek custo stuff taken out of the ExtRom)
Try both, and pick the one you like, my other beta ROM also has AKU 2.3 however I'm still working on cleaning out the ROM.

Thanx Jesterz... I have read the site you gave before. It just lists the different AKUs. What I meant was: the difference between the OS, not only the AKUs.
There are diff AKUs for the 2.15.13.27 ROMs. I am currently using PDAMobiz 2.15.13.27 (AKU 2.3). My phone was shipped with the 2.15.13.27 (AKU 1.0? can't remember) The official Dopod ROM update is 2.15.13.27 (AKU2.15 - I think).
This S200 is OS 2.20.7.34 WWE (AKU 2.2). So, we got a lower AKU, but a higher OS.
BTW Jesterz, is this ROM the same as mwiberg's @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=283245? The difference being you have taken out the qtek stuff out of extrom?

One question about this relase. The Beam/IR button is missing in Comm Manager, am I right? So I'll have to go to settings and uncheck the beam option.

PLEASE NOTE BEFORE YOU STARTING POSTING EVERYWHERE
Kill the existing (running) comm manager before running the updated cab and you will be fine. You can't update a running manager. OTHERWISE YOU WILL GET ERROR MESSAGE

There is no one the WM6 update. Choose a ROM that looks promising and flash it.
First step: read, read, read.
There is a list of various WM6 ROMS here, but there are some exiting newer ROMS to be found that haven't made that list as well.

Hi, I'm a new user and I'm reading theese threads from days trying to find the best rom in order to update my Qtek9100 (IPL/SPL 2.18) to WM6.
From the IPL/SPL value, my Phone is a G3 device, right?
I tried the T-MOBILE 2.26 and the XDA 6 r2, but I always had an error (Invalid Vendor ID with T-MOBILE; Error 302 [UPDATE ERROR] with the XDA 6 r2).
Could you tell me which ROM is the best for my phone in order to have WM6?

You need to CID unlock your phone

You need to find Dr. Puttingham's difinitive guide to unlocking your Wizard. Note that the unlock only works with IPL 1.x.x and a 1.x.x OS so you will need to flash the Button .5 ROM first to get set for unlock, follow the guide to do 2 diferent unlocks, then flash an OEM Ship ROM, then the WM6 ROM of your choice. Read, then Read, then Read, then try.

I can tell you where exactly to find the t-mobile official wm5 rom but not th qtek 9100.

where did you get the 8.3 rom version?
Ive tried loads of WM6 ROMS but cant find one that seems to work properly. Im using Ivans ROM:
CE OS: 5.2.1938
Build: 18538.0.7.0
SP: AKU 0.7
Status: Work in Progress
and I cant get WIFI to work. Is it possible to revert back to original WM5 ROM? If so, where can I download it from.
Or can someone suggest a WM6 ROM to use instead?

Read the label: Work In Progress. Means: Don't expect a bug-free release!
You could try the BeastyLeo Amalgam ROM, that's very good; or if you want to downgrade, you just flash a WM5 over the existing WM6, and hard-reset.
