Could someone explain the difference between a TOPRAM 4gb miniSD and a fast and reliable class 4/class6 miniSDHC in terms of speed an reliability. Recently someone said the athena hack will allow o2 xda atom exec to use sdhc cards....if that is possible i suppose i could go sdhc instead of the normal one.
Any thoughts?
the device needs to support sdhc to use it
flash cards can transfer data alot faster then pda's can keep up so speed should not be an issue for other things then the fact that sdcard readers on pc can keep up

Is this the SDHC? Where did you get it?
My Mobimemory 4GB is really crappy, and they refuse to answer my emails.
SimpleTech 2gb works fine.
Samsung OE 4gb wont make it through a single day.
A-Data speedy miniSD 2GB
works just fine (nice cheap card)
Hi
I was just wondering if anyone has ever used a 4gb SD Micro card (with adapter ofcourse) on their Xda 2 and if so, is it fully compatible?
I was gonna go for the normal 4gb SD card but then that won't be compatible with the newer Xda's should I decide to upgrade since they all take the Sd Micro's..
Cheers,
Riz.
not sure about the 4gb version but i have kingston 2gb micro with a sd adaptor and that works like a charm
Hi
I´m currently using a SanDisk ultra II 4gb and it works ok. I have qtek2020 with wm5
regards
There is a difference between 4GB Sd and 4GB Micro SD Card.
The Micro SD > 2GB is only available as SDHC card, and that is not
(yet) supported by HTC
Our apologies regarding the FAQ, it is currently incorrect and the department who is in charge of the website has been informed.
The FAQ should state that we support up to 4GB with SD cards and 2GB with Mini and Micro-SD. We do not currently support SDHC/2.0 and as such we could not say as to whether these formats would work correctly with your device.
So as to repeat your question on capacity briefly, your HTC P3300 is supported for use with up to a 2GB Micro-SD card.

my qtek2020 does not see a sd sandisk 4gb.
how can i fix this?
The QTEK 2020 unforunately is not SDHC-compatible! My QTEK2020 also not read the SDHC (under WM6), but the 4G, non SDHC cards works fine with it! Try non SDHC cards, this will work! Greater than 4G cards are all SDHC!
i have xda2.it can read the folder of my sd 4g,not sdhc, but cannot read the inside of the folder.maybe i should try another 4g?or 2g?
How can I use my 8 GB SDHC card with my HP IPAQ 2490 B with windows mobile 5
When I just insert the card in my HP won't recognize my card
Unfortunately it isn't supported. I think it takes a max of 4gb. Sorry
Unlike CompactFlash memory cards, which feature integrated hardware controllers within the card itself, SD and SDHC cards depend on the card reader for hardware control. Because the faster and higher capacity SDHC cards require updated controllers, current SD card readers aren't able to use them. I recomend you to buy an SD/SHC to CF II adapter an then insert you SDHC in it, as it is indicated in the following link: http://www.mobilitysite.com/boards/...20505-8gig-sdhc-working-dell-axim-x50v-2.html. The price of car adpater in eBay is $15. I hope to have helped.

read below abouth this sd card, UHS it was introduces in 2009 as standard and O1 was introduced in 2010 as low end device, there are good chances not to work as intended, it will work as normal sd class...(dunno), this card is intended to use USB 3.0 adapters for full speed
http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/d...eed-class,-uhs-speed-class,-and-speed-ratings
"UHS Speed Class was introduced in 2009 by the SD Association and is designed for SDHC and SDXC memory cards. UHS utilizes a new data bus that will not work in non-UHS host devices. If you use a UHS memory card in a non-UHS host, it will default to the standard data bus and use the "Speed Class" rating instead of the "UHS Speed Class" rating. UHS memory cards have a full higher potential of recording real time broadcasts, capturing large-size HD videos and extremely high quality professional HD."
