yeah, the sdhc.777.cab. Show me running on a WM5 rom. I need the dll's that work on it
I confirm.
Using this driver on my Apache with helmi_c's WM6 ROM enabled my Sandisk microSDHC 6GB storage (using a micro->mini adapter).
It works flawlessly for over 3 weeks now including WM5torage.

I'm able to access the card but TomTom gets very, very, very slow.
WiFi stays disabled until I uninstall the SDHC driver and restart the PDA.

WiFi doesn't work with SDHC drivers on N560! It's the known problem.
Originally "sdhc.777.cab" was created by freepk (the man who creates
unofficial WM6 update for C550/N560) and his team "777".It's based on
Athena's driver. freepk and his team have been trying to solve the issue
for more than 2 months but they haven't found a solution yet and probably
they won't find. Wi-Fi doesn't work only because of SDHC driver registers
on the same bus which is supposed to use for WiFi data.

Hey all.
I know its not an HTC, but I wanted to share the info for anybody who cares. I just installed the sdhc.cab on my new Samsung i760 (Verizon) and it works great. Using a 4gb sandisk microSDHC card.

I just got a samsung i760 ppc/phone and was told that an 8GB microSDHC card is not compatible with it. I have a 4GB and downloaded the CAB dll file posted in previous messages and it works fine. Anybody know if an 8GB microSDHC will work on it before I fork over a nice chunk of change the card? thanx

For the month that i had the i760 i could not get it to read larger than a 4gb... IDK if anyone else has got it working but your best bet would be to search in the i760 forum @ pdaphonehome.com

It showed 1.7GB... on a 6GB and i didn't get my 8GB until after i returned the i760...
I just picked up the XV6800. installed the 8GB update and it works great. next step is to activate the GPS.

Yes, I'll add in next version. I cooked for my Vietnamese friends. We don't need Transcriber, it doesn't reconize Vietnamese.

I have flashed all WM6 and WM5 Uni ROMs and tested them but the best of the lot I feel is this series 2.11.05 or 2.11.07 or 2.11.09 (not yet tested the 2.11.10)
The speed of these ROM's is excellent as well as memory management. With these Rom's I have the highest available RAM after installing all my apps.
The only thing that troubles me is that the storage card seems to get lost every other hour. Too bad. But still these ROM's are excellent

Does this rom have problems/freezes with bluetooth?
Like audio skipping wirh A2DP, or the PDA completely freezing after a minute of listening or file transfer (via bluetooth) ...

This rom has been perfect so far.
Just one thought.... where are the incoming bluetooth beams saved? The phone shows the notification and then... nothing...it simply disappears without asking save confirmation...

battery status problem
hi, one bug (maybe) I found with this ROM:
I lost battery status. It happened after I installed any software.
Because I did not know how to fix it, I just hardreset it.
And it happened again after I installed any software.
Because battery status is lost, I do not know when I have to charge my Uni ...

the 1st aku 0.7 rom that works on my uni. tried them all (pdaviet, l26&beast, etc.) but none works. i just can't make outgoing call with them. after trying to call, it will just lost signal.
but it's ok with this rom
Some little bugs:
- How to browse network within file explorer? If i enter my pc's name (\\my_pc) it says it cannot connect wit the current connection settings, even if i'm connected to wifi...
- IE crashed and then the phone started behaving strangely: the top line of keys and the OK key stopped working, and wifi won't turn off - would turn back on once i exited comm manager... had to reset
- there's still the "Turn wifi ON" when the wifi's already on in the balloon tip

6) Second today working fine

8) I used to use pocketnav for closing apps now it is spoiling the beauty so checking if ay other can be used to actually chose between close and minimise

Yes this definitely would be interesting and also can be used to lure 64M magician users to upgrade.
At present I see no software I need that runs only in WM6.5 but not 6.1, and I use SPB Mobile Shell 3.0 so shell isn't big issue to me.
By the way XiaoJin and/or other expert with experience in upgrading ram (in China), (1) how much and (2) how many percentage that my Magician will survive with the ram upgrade, in Guangzhou? - Any referral
After upgraded, and if everything works, I think the only problem with Magician is no wifi. Though in China again I don't mind, to make all our oversea friends envy, I use China Mobile CMNET RMB$6/10MB per month package (RMB$6 is less than 1 USD) GPRS and that works great with email and stuff.

New 6.5 fix seems to work
Tried downloading the upgrade on Toshiba website but came up with error message when trying to instal. got so sick of this contacted Orange, they sent me a new phone with upgrade, and yes call quality is now pretty good. Getting a bit sick of TG01 though this is the fourth new phone from Orange, the first two died. This all in six months, will not have toshiba again

however you can restore/backup (sync) your contacts fron the computer if you have setup any.
Just to report back...
The call quality issue is not resolved even after installing this updated rom..
back to using my Nokia again........ waiting for winmo7 now.
so don't keep your hopes high...

It's on the Toshiba support site.
Enter your details, DL and flash to replace the exiting ROM.
There are also now unvranded ROMs available on XDA derived from the latest Toshiba updates.

Hi, hope you have now been successful with the UG.... for some reason Toshiba chose to treat as a 'silent' upgrade and did not seem to make any efforts to communicate. There is no indication on their site that this is a replacement to the original WM6.5 release. It was only beacuse various folk on XDA and Modaco had been pressing hard (and were watching the DL site closely) that it was spotted !

Is it possible to install on my phone, i'm currently using Debranded TG01 Orange UK ROM + Manila Sense 2.5

download the ROM from Toshiba site.
UNZIP
there one file *SDDL.exe and one folder prg.
Place both on your Memory card (on the ROOT only not in any folder etc)
(make sure your phone is fully charged)
then RUN *.SDDL.exe from your phone and after installing it will restart itself..

Transferred 5 files to the memory card, when I try to use the TG01_SDDL file from file developer, the warning about start SD Download appears, I click download & get the message 'download failed. file name is invalid'.
I have tried it on 2 separate memory cards.
Don't even go there about getting the Toshiba to stay in sync with the PC, I am running Windows 7 with Core 2 Quad processor, the Toshiba disconnects within seconds.
This product is user unfriendly. I am not a developer, I consider myself competent with technology, but I am starting to understand why it is called windows, as it makes you want to throw it out of one.
I bought it so that I could run auto sat nav, plus a golfing sat nav app, along with having a phone, rather than several separate units. Why can Microsoft & Toshiba come up with a simple user guide. If I am tech confident, how will those less competent get on? This combination could put people off for life.

Depending on your actual ROM, you'll have to use sddl+ instead of sddl provided by Tosh, in order to make flashing possible.
Search it on the forum & let me know your progress...

Honestly i don't know what i should feel when i use this phone.
Just look at the specification at Sony Official Site
But in fact we got 3 types of memory
Phone memory = 700mb +
Internal storage and SD Card
Even at the official site don't say anything about phone memory , but All Installed apps go to phone memory, what the hell i see here
700mb+ ONLY , what to store exactly ? only installed brave frontier game cost 300 mb , and it can't be moved to sd card or internal storage. What the hell i buy this phone exactly
Feel like got scammed ..
When i got info from my friends who buy samsung note 3 , they don't get this phone memory crap, and only got internal storage 16/32/64 gb and the sd card. And again what the hell i see here...
Really i think that i should buy more better phone earlier than this junk which can't even install 3-4 more games
Or is there any way to swap the phone memory to internal or sd card ? any help is appreciated , i already use link2sd or foldermount but it's like not get any effect since some apps can't be moved from phone memory

Push this edited vold.fstab to system/etc replace it, then set permission to rw-r-r

If you want to check some specs, try GSMArena
Try the edited vold that i post. Then use link2sd to move all your apps in sdcard.
Or try some custom roms.
well gsm arena is the same, they don't list the phone memory either

It is because of the system apps. Not sure, but i think it is.
And most of the devices has the same way of memory.
Like my galaxy player, it has 8gb memory. 4gb usable.
Now my device memory has only 1.4gb free usage.

That's not a phone. it's just a player. But this device is discontinued.
Here's my Xperia J's phone memory. We're just same 700mb phone memory.
I have 49 apps.
oh, and yes the edited vold.fstab will swap your internal memory to sdcard
well i have enough use at internal storage and i use alien rom , it already come with that feature to use external as internal storage.
It just that Phone memory which only have 700mb+ irritate me

You can try this guide on how to increase internal memory. I have extra 2gb internal memory now. :good:

On my new, U11, w/BL still locked, & still unrooted, I connected an OnTheGo (OTG) cable & a thumdrive.
My file mgr of choice, Solid Explorer, *did* 'see' the dir structure & pix I had in my "Fotos" subdir off the root of thumbdrive; but “Google Photos" did NOT see it as a 'Mounted' drive. Why isn't the drive mounted? is it a OS thing, or an HTC thing, or a hardware/driver thing?
This further complicates the lack of the old Gallery app's folder/album based presentation style (fotogs mostly use 'Event' or 'Location' based organization in Lightroom… & BTW, any substitute Gallery-like apps out there? w/preferably on-microSD-Based storage, or on-device storage that uses folder/album based presentation style? Hey, I love QuickPic, use it since 2013. Minimalistic yet powerful.
My pendrive doesn't get mounted to the filesystem either as far as I can find (I'm unrooted as well). However, I can open pictures from Total Commander from the pendrive, although only one at the time - see attached screens for path in QuickPic. Google Photos opens it even from the "Downloads" native file explorer, one at the time as well, but I don't like the app.

Just updated software version to 1.13.651.6 & I discovered that the USB icon in the notification bar can be cloioked to show an Eject button, you have to wait on it to start working; but it does work! Solid Explorer also 'sees' a usb device.
So we have some progress fm HTC.
HTH, diff. 'flavors of the device' have diff update s/w versions. I have a U11 bought fm Sprint… so be aware when you see threads that talk abt single & double SIM card devices. I have a SIM card that is in the slot in the tray closest to the motherboard & the mioroSD goes into the top slot, but I'@ not sure bc I heard somewhere that another SIM card could be placed in the topmost tray slot. So if anyone knows please let me know- TIA, oldwolf

Our Sprint version only has one SIM card and micro-sdcard tray. The dual SIM card version has two options 2 SIM Cards or one SIM card and micro-sdcard. It is not that confusing. We pretty much all know there are different updates and software version, easiest to specify you device info when starting a thread, and I see you started a few threads already.
Thanks for the tip, I just started w/Sprint after 14yrs w/Verizon. Went to take advantage of better prices; but the "experts " in the Sprint 'Tech Experts' chat app have been found wanting in ways that have impacted my experience. I got this phone to switch & paid up front to have flexibility ea. month & not have to pay installments & I've been distracted - I am tech savvy w/computers & computer networks having taught for Novell's edu-channel & therefore I know about explaining tech support issues & it hasn't been fun. I'll try to keep to your correction.
In the Unlocking Bootloader thread there is a whole list of fone flavors &sthe corresponding updates. Guess I was confused. I had to go searching around the 'net & HTC's site to get the U11 User manual.
I'd've hoped HTC would've made it easier to find, or put the link in the Quick Start notes in the original box. Oh well. XDA folks are helpful…

HTCDEV will have all the instructions to unlock bootloader, TWRP thread will guide you to install the recovery and since you are on Sprint, save this thread for Firmware updates and if you like the ROM Here
I just tried connecting an USB Sandisk drive to test OTG. Using the native file manager, it sees the flash drive. I formatted it, I can transfer or copy files to and from it, however only from Internal Storage and not External. I have Solid Explorer as well. The only problem is both Root Explorer and Solid Explorer the flash drive doesn't show up. Where exactly do you see the flash drive in Solid Explorer? Not really an issue as in TWRP I can transfer and copy files from the Internal and External Storage to the flash drive no problem.
