AT&T Tilt Radio Love?

I really enjoy my Tilt and want to take advantage of some of the new offerings from this site, especially in terms of radio performance. However, as you all know, all of the lastest radios interfere with the normal sound operation when installed on the Tilt.
Can someone please explain to me why this is happening? And can I beg and plead with some of the Guru Chefs on this site to help us lowely Tilt owners by finding a solution so that we too can revel in the glory of OEM freedom?
That being said...I love this forum. This is a killer community. Even with the video driver issue, I am so glad I bought an HTC phone and can be part of the excitement. It's amazing how much of the industry is affected by what goes on right here in this place. Thanks to all of the contributers for their time and effort.
The new radios will only work with the new 6.1 roms that came out. Once you put the new rom on your tilt then the new radio will also work. I am holding off though on upgrading to 6.1 because I don't want an official rom. I would rather have a cooked rom so I am waiting until the cooked 6.1 roms get out of beta.
I am using the DCS v1.1 on my phone with the newest radio and am loving it...

WM6.1 Official on April 1st

So if WM6.1 goes official on April 1st, then what does that mean for all the "official" ROMs that are currently available?
The latest images of WM6.1 on http://www.boygeniusreport.com/ shows a kinda slick interface that isn't part of any of the ROMs here. At the same time does anyone know if HTC is going to release a true 6.1 ROM for the Kaiser?
I really liked to cooked ROMs but inquiring minds want to know!

That "slick" interface, is for WM6.1 Standard...aka non-touchscreen SmartPhone.
1 april foolsday don't forget
OK, so it's not for touch-screen. But the basic question still remains - what does an Official WM6.1 mean for the claimed "official" ROM's here?
I really like the cooked ROMs but have had mixed results with all of them. Some have great features, some are really fast, but none of them have been reliably stable. I live and die by email and phone calls, so regardless of what is in a ROM if it is not stable then it's usefullness is limited to me.
I understand that all the current Kaiser WM6.1 ROMS are builds from other devices, just ported over. So will a true Kaiser WM6.1 bring cooked ROMs with better stability and cool features?

Most important features in cooked ROMs

1) what do you think is most important when you're choosing ROMs?
2) what kinds of things disappoint you the most in cooked ROMs?
3) whats your favourite ROM?
my own views on these topics:
1) all good ROMs need to be fast and stable, they have to retain all the functions of the stock ROMs, and they need to have general aesthetic appeal.
a really great ROM needs to do all of that, and it needs to use the
amazing hardware in an innovative fashion that highlights the strengths of the device.
2) before my Leo i used a Diamond, so RAM usage was definately an issue.
if a chef removes a usefull function, that's also not good.
my biggest disappointment with XDA ROMs is probably UI design, though. some chefs have really strange ideas about aesthetics, in my opinion.
I say if you can't make something that's prettier than stock, then don't.
3) Prolly Energy or Lightshadow. Just got my Leo, so I haven't really checked out all the options yet.
reason for asking:
I wanna start cooking ROMs in the near future, and if whatever I end up cooking has some general appeal, that would be kinda inspiring. Maybe I have some preconceptions that could use challenging, as well.

I'm pretty confused as to what to download and what not to.

I have a TP2 on Verizon. It's running the Verizon release of Windows Mobile 6.5 and I use the Touch Flo interface.
I used to flash my Treo WX to homebrew ROMs, so I understand the process, but I"m having a hard time finding what I believe to be the most current release of the HTC interface (Sense 2.5.x?) and the best (probably boils down to opinion from what I can tell), but I'm really lookoing for a good stripped down ROM without any verizon extras, running the newest release of the HTC interface.
There's just so many options, I can't tell what to get and what to package with what. Can anyone lend me a hand?
Juicy rom is a nice 2.5 rom. Also people really tend to like the Energy roms, I believe energy leo is the energy rom you want to download, not pheonix.
Check them out over here:

yep, leo is the CDMA rom, its the one i use on my sprint TP2
its just been updated to include sense 2.5.2012

Thanks people. This was what i needed. The Energy ROM post had the instructions i was looking for.

ROMs

I was flashing my friend's Evo 4G's ROM and saw that there were many ROMs available. Is there a reason why there are only 3 ROMs for the Aria? The ROM I flashed on the Evo was a re-designed HTC Sense ROM.
Sent from my HTC Liberty using XDA App
we have 2 perfect working roms, that's all it's needed for now. unless your willing to cook up a new one that make 3
I don't see a point to having 900 different ROMs...unless the devs are coming up with **** that's not been done yet, all I can see that could possibly be different is the applications, themes, etc. that they include in the ROM.
Because Cyanogenmod is the only rom you need
Sent from my cm6.1 Aria using XDA App
Better having 2 stable roms, than 20 ROMS that are half developed and with bugs.
I have a HD2 and at the beginning it was hell because there's like 20 of em just in winmo not to mention android. It takes forever to figure out what rom is best. I found myself searching for a barebone rom like cyanogen's. I love that the Aria only has two which is all you need. Install your one of the two and mod alway.
after looking at the miui bits, it might be nice to have a rom with it to play with.
it it nice to have roms that just work tho.
