Before you attempt to upgrade to this ROM, Please follow this thread to learn how to flash roms and CID unlock, and how to fix issues you may run into! Recomendations
• I HIGHLY Recommend that you flash back to an official rom before upgrading to this (or any) custom rom so you have a clean base (and correct any Extended ROM corruption you might have). G4 users would flash back to their provider's latest official release. G3 users can use T-Mobile 2.26 for a good base.
• If you use BatteryStatus (its NOT included in the rom!) to overclock, I don't recommend overclocking above 260Mhz, and the CPUscaler settings in BatteryStatus should not be set to a min lower than 143MHz (or your device may not wake back up after going to sleep). Personally, I have not tried to overclock this rom due to the performance it already has.
Credits
I would like to thank the following in help (directly and indirectly) with Singh Mobile 6:
• Faria for providing the initial ROM Kitchen that got me cooking
• mfrazz for the guides, information and providing me help with tweaks and his words from forums
• NotToSmart & Jruser for help with squashing the camera bug
• mattk_r for OEM and OS Packs **Chef**
• Theloon for providing me his latest Betas and working on this OS 318.**Main Chef**
• funkadesi who took the time to help with beta/alpha test the early version of this base rom and provided splash pictures and various ideas.
• It's Right (TNT Chef) for his welcome screen i love this
• InGeNeTiCs for taking the time to dump the rom Microsoft put on his phone so we could have this base rom
• Many others here at XDA-Developers.com that provided information, tips, and suggestions that I used when putting this together
Known Issues
• The base rom has a bug / feature where if GPRS is active, unanswered calls may not show up as a missed call and may not give notification of the unanswered call. If this happens, the unanswered call shows up in the history as an answered call with a duration of 1 or 2 seconds.
• Every WM6 rom I've tried has an issue where if you use the "Press and Hold" of the CommManager button to switch to and from Vibrate mode, that the ringtone may not play when not in vibrate mode. To work around this go to Settings > Phone and play your ringtone and your ringing will work again.

Any Comments?

Alright Vijay, this turns out to be quite a nice rom. No issues reported here yet. Very stable and has great battery so far. Will keep you updated.

Any hint how "excellent" the Battery Life is ?Thanks. I want to try this for long lasting battery life but want to know how good it is before I try.

well it depends on what you do :d if you have MS direct push to consistently check your email and download data, and call couple of time a day like me :d i get my battery down to 60% to 68% percent. My avg is 65%. Take off the phone 8 in the morning by 7:00pm i have in the range of 60s, that is mass usages of GPRS & Calls with some use of wifi . Again it also depends on what you have installed as well. I used battery status ext, from last week which was reported to be a battery drainer, and until today i had 65% avg. I installed new Battery Status i will report in 2-3 days

Thank you , nycelitemaster. You answered my question!!! Expecting your report on BS... That's right the thing I want to know as well: Which version of the Battery Status is the most power saving. Hehe... Some verion is said to be a powerful source of battery drain rather than......

so far no issues. u have a great rom there. i love the tweaks u have installed in accessories. will report back later. good job.
one thing i think should be changed are the crappy wm6 ringtones. they suck

You are da man!
I'm a newbie at braving losing my 8125 with T-mo, but I read and re-read all the intrustions from multiple posts. After messing even that up, and doing the RUUs 10 - 15 times, it all paid off in the end with you update.
Thanks much for all your hard work! I'm enjoying the benefits. WM6 looks awesome (I'm into asthetics first, and then functionality!)
Everyone who's contributed is awesome!

so far i am getting better report with battery status :d I have OC'd my CPU to 223Mhz, and my BS Version is 1.04.203 beta4 passed 12 hours i am down to 50% of battery with mass use of GPRS/Edge for MS Direct Push, i get approximately 100+ email daily from my job, so yea that burns alot of battery and i have fizzweather running every 2 hours for update. I am quite impressed this is good.
edit: Thanks for the lovely comments but not being rude but Don't forget theloon, he is the main chef who worked day and night for this. With his permission i posted the cook on the forum with my own apps and extra tweaks :d. my biggest thanks goes to theloon for letting us work with him on alphas and betas of this OS. Again Theloon should be thanks first :d

this might sound kinda newbie. but what exactly is in the extended rom. whats its function in the rom itself

Some reg keys that setup tmobile's mms settings and data connection settings, and theme that get loaded if you dont want them to be installed u can reset from pinhole, but they are like 1kb so it doesn't hurt :d

ok. so they are just extra's. i saw in the advance config where there is an option to run extended rom or dnt. so i opened it up and i wasnt sure what i was looking at

Yup, they are just extra, dont use it if you dont want to
report for battery with new battery status, as i reported yesterday today i have bit more of usage because of more calls and more mails came in. But closer to the percent i mentioned yesterday. So i'd say def. the new batterystatus from day b4 yesterday has helped bit. Hope this help.

Hey nycelitemaster, do you know where in NY I can get my phone fixed? I bricked a T-mobile SDA, wondering if anyone can fix it in NY. I went to NY Chinatown last week and the guy couldn't fix it.

LOL more of an underwriter. Anyway if i see anyone who can repair ill let you know.

Wlan + Gprs
One thing ive noticed is when I connect via wireless lan and a connection is established then my gprs is allways dialed when trying to use msn or explorer. Any idea why and how to fix it?

Dear, I have a different need. I am desperately looking for the Ingenetics ROM. The built that you said 15342.4.0.01 is needed. I tried a lot of roms which were said to be the original ones but have built number 15342.0.0.0.
Please help. Thanks for the new ROM will try it. BTW the nottoosmart ROM has a memory leak. After installing the free program memory is very low
Regards,
Alber

I'm using it.. Runs real well (good job) Just having little problems with the media player not comming up like usual and I kind of miss windows live messenger stuff. Overall it seems to run quick even without the BS app. I'm going to try to make my own and hope it will come out well.
Also curious if you or anyone has a copy of the USA MDA rom upgrade? I can't download it on any of the links and even t-mobile no longer has it on there site. Please PM me if you have it. Thanks- Bryan

Crossbow Reloaded v1.7 - Smooth and Stable WM6 Computing for the Wizard

Crossbow Reloaded v1.7
Smooth and Stable WM6 Computing for the Wizard
The latest incarnation of the Crossbow Reloaded series is again based on the Faria WM6 ROM that was part of the Faria ROM Kitchen. I've continued to modify the base rom to adjust and update it and work out a few bugs / features, but its still the stable base that makes Crossbow Reloaded a dependable WM6 version for the Wizard devices. One of the major changes in the cooking process of this rom is the use of edhaas ROM Packer Kitchen. I highly recommend using the tools in this to gain extra room and to overall speed up how some things work.
Just like with the previous releases, please remember that this ROM is a product of what _I_ wanted with many inputs from users of 1.0 and 1.5, so no complaints about why does this rom have this in it, or why didn't you put this in there. If you don't like how this rom is spiced, then go grab the Faria ROM Kitchen and make your own version. I am open to ideas on how to improve the rom (most of the changes in this version are direct results of ideas and comments posted in the Crossbow Reloaded 1.5 thread).
Please Note: this ROM was NOT intended to push the limits on speed optimization or memory optimization. It was made to be functional, stable, and something that I myself wanted and will use. I've found it to perform at a better than acceptable level for myself, and so far Battery life seems just as good as any other WM6 ROM I've tried. If you have Battery Drain issues, make sure you flashed back to an official rom before you upgraded to this one, as that should correct extended rom corruption that has been shown to cause battery draining. Also note that I've been running this version for days and have not even used overclocking and found it to perform very nicely (so Overclocking should work very nicely if you feel the need).
What's Different in V1.7 from V1.5?
Removed Transcriber (actually this wasn't in v1.5 or v1.0, but I just want to make it clear its not here either) (Can be added back via CAB)
Added VoIP (See next post for instructions to set this up)
HTC X-Button downgraded to v1.0 (The new 1.5 version has issues with impacting changes on the Today screen) and now turned on by default
Removed PocketXpdf and added Adobe Reader LE back
Added Mobile Justice (a security app that will send an SMS if an unauthorized SIM is placed in your phone)
Added SIP Config 2.0.1
Added StartClean
Added Pocket Screen Capture
Added HTC Audio Manager
Added CicleBT (Toggle BlueTooth on and off)
Added SynchroTIme
Removed default Calculator and Added 1-Calc to replace it
Removed GSFinder (use Total Commander instead)
Upgraded Total Commander to Beta 2.5
Upgraded WiFiFoFum to 2.2.9
Upgraded PIM Backup to 1.9
Upgraded to Office 2007
Numerous fixes and tweaks. Also compression of some large app files that now actually make them start faster!
New first and second splash screens
Windows Live Search searches via Google
Base ROM Information
This is my modified version of Faria's WM6 found in the Faria ROM Kitchen V2, so its a "fixed" version of Faria's "the real thing" release that was then made vanilla and that I've added packages back into, and changed/fixed/enhanced.
ROM Version: 2.18.0.0 WWE
ROM Date: 02/14/06
Protocol: 4.1.13.09
ExtROM version: Faria V5.0
There is no Radio, IPL, SPL or Extended ROM.
In addition to the changes mentioned above for what is different, here is a list of the other added apps that were also in the 1.5 release:
TodayAgenda
Notepad editor
Pocket RAR
HTC X-Button 1.0 (turned on by default)
PIM Backup
Total Commander
MoDaCo NoData (so you can turn off data sources)
mUn Keyboard Skin
WM5torage 1.73
dotFred TaskManager (with registry editor link)
BatteryStatus 1.04.202 Beta 3 Build 0195 (There are newer versions out now, but I had issues with battery drain and other problems so kept the same version as in the original release as it seemed to work the best for me)
Smartskey 0.56 (DPAD is set to 0 in the .ini so the up and down scrolling works in the Phone dialer as expected in WM6)
10 Button CommManager with Black theme
SQLCE
SIM Manager
WM5NewMenu
SMSDRFix
DotFred's SoftKeyAppletEx
DotFred's TaskManager (and registry editor)
WiFiFoFum
Regional Settings default to English (United States) and use a slash for the date seperator (M/dd/yyyy)
Menu sounds work by default
Pressing the "End Call" button does not disconnect GPRS but minimized the active application. Pressing and holding the "End Call" button for about 5 seconds will do a GPRS Disconnect
Internet access over ActiveSync (USB) connection works (You must apply a registry fix on your PC first. See the next post for the fix)

For Cingular users, I STRONGLY recommend you use the T-Mobile 2.19 UK Radio. Newer Radio versions tend to have missed calls and SMS messages (just like with all other WM6 ROMs). G4 users, see the next post on flashing the Splash screens for a tip if you get errors trying to flash the 2.19 Radio ROM.

Funman for putting together the fantastic PDF document on using the ROM Kitchen and for answering questions and fixing bugs in packages I hastily put together
ADB100 for finding and fixing some bugs in packages I worked on

abenk for providing the new Crossbow Reloaded logo
ANTC for ideas and inspiration on parts of this release

Everyone that installed and gave feedback and support on the previous Crossbow Reloaded versions
Many others here at XDA-Developers.com that provided information, tips, and suggestions that I used when putting this together
A HUGE thanks goes to all the chefs that support our community!
Known Issues
After flashing, verify your phone keypad is there. If its not, you will need to try doing a "Clear Memory" or Hard Reset. If that doesn't work, then reflash the rom. I'm trying to find the cause of this now.
It has been found that this camera patch will help improve the camera app in lower light conditions.
Official Download Sites for Crossbow Reloaded v1.7
I'll update this list with mirrors as they become available
PLEASE READ THIS
There are known issues with this rom on SOME phones. The obvious issue is after flashing you will not have a phone keypad. Those using ShellTool are finding they have to flash their devices twice. Most missing the keypad can immediately reflash the rom a second time and then its fine. If you have issues, the look through the thread and see if its been reported already. I'm working on rebuilding this, but since its working for some people, I'm not pulling the links. Your decision to download and flash this rom is YOUR decision. If the rom causes you issues, you were warned and it was your decision. Don't PM me about issues.
HTTP 1 and HTTP 2 (Thanks Eximius!)
There are also mirrors posted in posts 7 & 8 (not linked here by request of the owners). Thanks Kage Musha and TheWizzzard2203 for those!

Transcriber and more
The Black 3 Add-on CABs file has installable cabs for Transcriber, VoIP, Adobe Reader LE, and Windows Live & Messanger (slightly newer version than in Crossbow Reloaded v1.5). I've tested all of these on my Wizard and they work fine. Also included in this file is Cyberon VoiceCommander, Cyberon Voice Dial, VIjay555 utils, and a Slingbox patch (none of these I've tested). Since Adobe Reader and VoIP are in 1.7 you won't need those, but for those wanting Transcriber, just run the cab on your phone and you can scribble away on your screen

Splash Screens and Splash Only RUU for G4
For G4 users, I've attached a zip file with the Splash Screens of this rom (since you don't get them when you use the shell tool). As I understand it, this is completely safe for a G4 as its nothing but splash screens (no OS, IPL, SPL, Extended ROM, etc, just splash and htc logo screens). I've also placed the .bmp files that make up the splash screen in the zip file so you can see them directly before flashing this. Before anyone asks, yes, the htc logo one is grainy. I had to do that due to size limitations of the file. I tried for a couple of hours to get a nicer version to work but it wouldn't display correctly (seems to have to be pretty low res / non-complex)
If you have problems flashing the above RUU on a G4, then extract this http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=29158&d=1152698784 and pull the nk.nbf file out of the above Splash Screen file and put it into the directory of this one and run this RUU. You can use the same method for flashing the Radio Only ROM (pull the nk.nbf file out of the radio only rom and put it into the directory of this RUU and run it). Thanks anichillus for that link!
Weather Panel Setup
See my post in the Wizard forum on how I setup WeatherPanel. It will give you a fixed dll with correct moon phases through 2008, new/better Moon phase icons, and a cool theme called Chameleon-240 QVGA. I dumped SBSH Pocket Weather after seeing this setup
More info to come, so check back here periodically!

Info on Included Apps
MobileJustice v0.8
MobileJustice is an Anti-theft app that you can configure on your phone. Just go to Start > Programs > Accessories and click on the MJConfig icon (first time in you will get a message that there isn't a config file, just click ok and it will be created). To us this, check the Enabled box, then click Add on the Allowed line. You can then setup your SIM card as an authorized one, and add other SIM cards IMSI numbers if you use more than one. Next click on Add next to Report to: and setup an SMS number (wife, friend, colleague) where you want the text message to go to if an unauthorized SIM is put into your phone. You can add multiple SMS numbers if you want. At this point, your phone will now be setup so that if an unauthorized sim is put in it, then it will send an SMS (with no record of it being sent) to your Report To list on the next boot (you can test this by not setting up (or removing) the Allowed and then doing a soft reset).
For more advanced, you can turn on the Disp MsgBox at the top and then put in some text in the MsgBox text line. This will pop up a Message box on the screen of the phone after a boot, if an unknown sim is in the phone.
You can also enable RMon (bottom half of the screen), put in a pass phrase, and then turn on MsgBox (GPS and LocCall do not work on Wizards, and the other options haven't been implemented in this version). By doing this, you can now send an SMS to your phone in the following format:
+m passphrase message
Rmon will intercept the sms message (so it will not show up as a received message), and if the passphrase matches the one you put in the configuration, then it will pop up a message box on the phone with your message in it (so you can secretly send messages to the thief to possibly intimediate them (or whatever).
The project page for MobileJustice is located at: https://sourceforge.net/projects/mjustice/
Thanx will flash in a few hours

Could you give any info about available memory?
Hi and thank you! I've just flashed my QTek 9100 and everything is fine. Still can't activate VOIP from Comm manager even after configuring it with SIPConfig
But all other things are great!
Thank you again
Just flashed with the ROM. It looks nice so far. I haven't used Crossbow Reloaded before so I don't know the changes form earlier versions.
Here is a mirror for the people who dislike rapidshare like me Please do not share htis link outside these forums.

Just flashed it, awesome ROM! Good call on changing the BatteryStatus, I had major drain issues with the newest version, also.

All... I'm going back and forth on a couple of things. I put Office 2007 in the latest build I'm running. I'll probably keep it in, but its huge compared to Office 2003 (another 2meg larger it appears). I thought with the latest RomPacker kitchen I could get Office 2K7 and PocketXpdf back in, but that just won't happen. If I go back to Office 2003 then I can get PocketXpdf (or maybe even AdobeReaderLE) back in the rom. Comments?

I second the vote:
I know it's a lot of work building these ROMS but a Office 2003 version would be nice. Would it be hard to replace 2007 with 2003? You have the ROM built and I'm not talking about building a new one just making a change to the ROM you have.
The Vanilla Rom that Faria built was in part to reduce the amount of memory used.
Just my 2 cents, but thanks for listening.
Thanks for all your work from us that haven't ventured into the Kitchen.

Ugh! Thats what I get for putting this out so late last night... I took a bunch of screen captures, then realized I needed to change something so reflashed again and lost all of that. I can't flash to a clean rom at the moment to get new captures, but after the flash there was 28meg free Program memory.
I'll update the first post with captures in a few hours.
@farrusete - Yep, thats what I figured on VoIP. Sorry, but I just couldn't seem to get past that.
@Kage and Wizzzard - Thanks for the mirrors, but I won't put those in the first post as that post tends to be posted in other forums
@Eximius - I'll update your mirror in the first post shortly
@nfollmer - thanks, and yes, major issues for me with the newer BS versions (it would just disappear off the screen sometimes)
@Cing 8125 - I'll consider a Office 2003 release, but it isn't quite as easy as you think since I completely replaced it with 2007. Would have to have a seperate code line (with how I have it setup now).
@joaosousa - Are you saying you have VoiP working? If so, please let me know the details so I can update the 2nd post with info. Thanks!
Voip
Yes, i have VoIP working.
I have just installed the wm6voip.cab i have posted in my previous post and after a restart i configured the SIP service using the SIPConfig Tool.
The only problem is that the sound comes out from the side speakers and not from the "normal call" speaker. But this seams to be a problem that all wizard's rom's have.
In SIPConfig i used my VoipBuster account.
Service name: Voip
SIP Server: sip.voipbuster.com
UserName: my_voipbuster_user_name
Password: my_voipbuster_user_password
I will install later on this afternoon. I need something stable mine is always locking up on me and I lose messages.
Hows A2DP working on this one?

• SipConfig
• Oxios Memory
• Camera 3.0
• reTouched Dailer
• Comm Manager 10 Buttons (IR Instead of useless ActiveSync Icon)
• Regional Settings default to English (United States) and use a slash for the date seperator (M/dd/yyyy)
• Menu sounds work by default
• Pressing the "End Call" button does not disconnect GPRS but minimized the active application. Pressing and holding the "End Call" button for about 5 seconds will do a GPRS Disconnect
• Internet access over ActiveSync (USB) connection works (You must apply a registry fix on your PC first. See the next post for the fix)
Requirements
You MUST have an IPL and SPL at 2.xx or higher (BOTH not just one or the other).
You MUST be running ActiveSync 4.5 on Windows XP (Vista comes with the correct sync utility, although there have been issues reported about Vista and sync'ing with PPC's so be aware of that).
Before you attempt to upgrade to this ROM, Please follow this thread to learn how to flash roms and CID unlock, and how to fix issues you may run into! It is also recommended that you flash your phone with a Windows XP computer and not Vista. It will work with Vista, but if you run into problems Vista can't talk to a phone in Bootloader mode!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613
• Camera Icon in Pictures & Video doesn't work, But Camera Button and Camera icon in Programs Still works.(I am working with few people to resolve this bug)

Great start of a ROM. I really like it - quick, great app selection, one of the best first tries I have seen. I am having problems, though. It is having serious problems reading my SD card (that has virtually always worked perfectly) and also installing cabs off my SD even when it reads properly (may be related though). I THINK this happened once before when the ROM was heavily compressed like this one. Also, it went on standby earlier and wouldn't come back - had to soft reset. Other than that, I really like it and would look forward to a v1.1!

UPDATE: Been using it off and on all day, and I first have to say - I continue to really like this ROM. Fast, low power consumption, again - great app selection. I haven't had any more problems with standby. I was able to install my cabs by downloading them to main memory and installing them, so it definitely appears to be an issue with the way it is reading the SD card. I checked it out, and no markings other than miniSD, 2.0GB. Black card - must be a generic. The deal is I have had this problem only once or twice with this SD card with over a DOZEN roms, and never this consistent. I remember it being alluded to earlier in this forum, and I think a reg fix took care of it. I will be digging, but any help is appreciated - thanks again for a very good rom!
try these steps
1) take out miniSD
2) Soft Reset
3) insert it in
WHen i flash i usually take out SD b4 i flash it. I never had any problems like this before but i am trying my best to produce it on my PDA LOL.
Hi Guys, let me know if i should remove HTC Streaminng Media and put TCPMP in the place of it. I think TCPMP is alot better and it also plays streaming media files. Correct me if i am wrong. I think in my next release i am going to remove streaming media as its 1.5MB and waste while TCPMP is 1.1MB while its really good.
edit: posted tmobile pack for tmobile users.

Thanks for trying! Without going into a ton of detail, let me say that I did do the steps you have here before I flashed this ROM - but - I have flashed a bunch of other ROMs with it in and only seen a similar problem one or twice before (like out of several dozen flashed). Seems odd it would happen now when I "followed the book", but I just gave up on the card and reformatted it. It is working fine now.
More importantly, I want to go on the record to say that again, I have used most every ROM out there for the last year - and this is my favorite. Excellent speed, excellent stability, excellent app selection, good free memory, low power consumption - it just does everything I have asked it to do.
I have had a few random "glitches" with it, but it is nevertheless the best ROM I have used bar none. Thank you for your efforts!

Any G4 owner can test it on their device. I can then realize whether the problem is in XIP or in OS part.
ROM with different XIP:

Intro:
- Because we got WM 6.1 and all coming roms will be built on this new OS, we have to close WM 6.0 book with well cooked WM 6.0 rom.
- After reading more than 1000 posts in all previous releases, i found the most base rom prefered by users is 5.2.1620.
- as most of you know the good things about TNT Series, it solves the most issues for WM6.0 in Wizard:
Quote:
- When you call someone and he didn't answer you get connected instead of call ended.
- When you call a busy number also you will get connected instead of busy
- When you have GPRS Connected and someone called you and you didn't answer this calling will shown as recieved call instead of missed
- When you have a call and recieve a call (waiting) and you didn't answer, this calling will shown as recieved call instead of missed.
- When you open start/settings/Phone then directly press ok button, your personal tone will change to the default
- Some of roms have the issue with cannot open the wifi from the first time
- When you change the notification to vibration, then change it again to ring mode, the device still on vibration till you play your ring again or change your ring
- some roms can't start the wifi directly
Base Rom:
5.2.1620 build 18125.0.7.0
OS: 11.0.0.2 << as you know, 11.x.x.x is for TNT Series or based on
Editions:
too many users asked me to create a rom with adding the touch scrolling, and also others asked me to have more stuff in the TouchFLO edition, what i did for them!!!
i created a rom with all professional+HTC home stuff with Touch scrolling feature without the cube, and the cube you can add it manually by an Add On. And all other editions don't include any of Touch stuff or driver.

===============================
Screen Shuts:
General Notes: (Please Read before updating)
-Remove SD card while updating.
- the two bluetooth icons on the tray launch, you can open their menus by double click or click and hold.
- Before asking, give us your edition (professional or TouchFLO...)
- if your rom has PIMBackup older than 2.5, install PIMBackup 2.5 and do the backup via it.
- SMSDrFix not activated, you have to open it to replace the numbers with their contact name on messages.
- If you open Advanced Config, the battery icon on the tray launch will disappear, you have to restore it using Advanced Config.
- There is no IPL, SPL, ... JUST OS and splashes, so i think its safe for G4 users.
- Radio 2.19.11 UK more stable and fewest issues and no missed calls.
- You MUST have an IPL and SPL at 2.xx or higher (BOTH not just one or the other).
- High recommend to reflash an official rom before flash this one.
- there are two update utilities on the rar file, one for XP and the other for Vista. But if you have Vista you have to visit this thread, then use Vista utility (Worked for me "i have Vista").
- If you want to improve A2DP; edit it by any Tweaking app like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=291770 or search for that
- If you change some thing, you have to wait for a minute before restarting to make sure the device get your changes.
- If you have any issue with A2DP visit this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=308752, (previous rom version dosn't contain any issue).
- Are you beginner?? go to Howto flash a Wizard... a little tutorial! (Sticky Thread).
- Are you an arabic user?? go to the wonderful arabic forum which is www.ce4arab.com
TouchFLO Notes:
- go to start/programs/Touch/TFSettings , then set the way you want to activate the cube
- if you want high performance, install Battery Status from Add Ons section
================
Some other Notes:
- i didn't add mfrazzz RIL fix for the radio.
- i suggest you to use battery status last version which on the Add Ons.
- because of the internet temprory files saved on storage card, sometimes you find storage card 2 for your SD, this thing happened to me when i open Advance Config without storage card installed.
-Anyone using Rogers canada network, very high recommended to use 2.19 UK, the link on the Notes. (tnx benjaminries)
- If your memory running very low, you have to reflash your device with official WM 5.0 to fix this.
- All TNT cabs on the Add Ons will be installed on Windows Directory.
- The installing at the 1st time you use these series are not ExtROM, just customizations.
- your Device is G4!!! do you have problems not shown with others??, i suggest to reflash the latest WM 5.0 official then use the new G4 update tool from here.
Q&A:
Q- how can i remove battery level at the top of screen?
A- open WinXplore then startup folder and remove battery level.lnk (you can use file explorer on the folder windows/startup)
Downloads:
pagepool for all= 6 MB (high pagepool= high performance+less program memory, less p.p= less perfor.+high program mem.)

i have to say thanks from mexico , me and the guys who use this wonderful rom
Mirrors needed please
thank you its right for the new rom
Big THX..... !!!!!!
I'm waithing for the WM6.1 version so close this book...
WM6.1 it's a lot better than WM6.0. But lets wait what we got this time form you.
I will stick to this version till then.....
1620 vs 1933
Is 1620 a more stable version than 1933? I am running TNT 1933 now and love it! Should I wait for the new 6.1 or load this 1620?
I guess I will flash this tonite and keep it on till wm 6.1..ETA on 6.1?
does this release fix this...
Just wondering, with your last rom I noticed that if i pressed the standby button while playing music the device would continue to play music... Im pretty sure this is a bug somehow and im only guessing that if music continues to play that other applications continue to run and drain battery in background at all times while this bug is present.... has anyone else experienced this... however unexpected and bugged this "feature" is, i still call it a feature and I actually liked having it in the last tnt rom i tested (which was previously the latest until this fine release) ... just curious however if anyone else has noticed perhaps or could reproduce this experience as I have so many times been able to reproduce (however sometimes it would quit playing the music but mostly it wouldnt... however if it would stop it would take quite some time... 10-30 mins even)
just a curious post really...
thanks and keep up the good work

Phoenix 1.04.30
Almost Entirely an Omnia Based ROM
(Release in Post 2, but kindly read this stuff first)
HELLO FIRST TIME FLASHERS, CLICK ME!
HardSPL 3.29 Recommended
Welcome to the future of Kaiser ROMs.
Credits / Props
Credit goes to MBvarian for SOLACE V2's RC's and porting the Omnia XIP and SYS. ParleyP was able to use all of that to create Phoenix, a name that I came up with that MBV liked as did ParleyP.
Credit goes of course to ParleyP for his countless hours working on this and making build after build troubleshooting.
Also we'd like to thank Sakajati for the sleek black welcome96 that I believe is baked into the ROM. (I had HD3 between Solace RC's before Phoenix development started, and being no intial splash is included in phoenix, I myself am not 100% sure that it's there. But parley says it should be)
We'd also like to thank our other testers that helped us out.
Introduction
Though I cannot confirm until I speak to MBV Directly, I feel that this is the direct successor to Solace V1, what I feel MBV was shooting for in the Solace RC's, particularly the ones with Omnia bases.
Being this is an almost entirely pure port, you should notice serious graphical improvement, as not only is just the Omnia driver present, the whole SYS and XIP of the Omnia is complimenting it. High Quality YouTube video is still a bit jerky, but as seen in the rather low quality, unprofessional video I shot of a pre-release that I had made to tease the community during development, it doesn't even slow down when I dragged the M2D bar all over the place, and Comm Manager launches in around 2 seconds or less, etc etc. Maybe the M2D dragging isn't impressive in itself, but use it for five minutes and you'll enjoy the speed boost.
Phoenix is rising "from the ashes" of the events that made MBV stop work on Solace 2 for a while while it was private beta a month or two ago (aka his phone died) and the Omnia builds of Solace that wouldn't seem to work quite like they were supposed to. Parley used extensive knowledge from a career in the tech industry to get MBV's Omnia port to work, bada bing bada boop, now we have a stable base. All the while, I tortured my device flashing ROMs, as has parleyp with a lot of the alphas of Phoenix.
Oh and did I mention that this is the first time parleyp's taken a crack at cooking a ROM for public release?
MBV's Solace builds and Omnia XIP and SYS, as well as his excellent KaiserChef V2 made it possible!

IMPORTANT NOTES YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE YOU USE
This build is not 100% pure Omnia. Things got replaced to eliminate bugs. It is for the vast majority, a total Omnia port. Anything that is not Omnia is noted below. Primarily Pocket Outlook/tmail.exe, etc; The BT stack, and the keyboard drivers are non-omnia, also anything in the App list below that has a different phone model listed next to it, is more than likely not Omnia, as i'm sure you can guess.
***There is still a little bit of an issue with the keyboard system and the SMS area, there will be a detailed workaround solution in post three. Unfortunately, this is a bit of a trade off for having an Omnia base, Parley’s worked extremely hard on getting this working properly, and the workaround seems very solid for him and myself both.***
Also note: N2A and Scotchua's Manila Fix are ALREADY PRE-PATCHED INTO THE ROM, it is custom weather ready right out of the box!
Being this is experimental, there may be bugs. Post back in the thread with them. If it's been a while since you've submitted a bug report (example: more than three days) PM me directly. Please do not PM me before making a post in the thread, to ease the amount of PMs that I recieve. Also, please do not PM parleyp directly, as he has asked me to handle the PR on this release as he is quite busy with his day job as well. This way I can organize all the information and think of ideas when relaying bug reports to you. ParleyP will grab the fourth and fifth posts of this thread to make personal comments, etc.
NEW: At the end of Customization, the phone will go nuts a bit while some stuff is worked on. Don't worry, it's not hanging, just wait it out.

Bugs
Workaround for any input quirks you run into.
ParleyP highly suggests doing this.
Go into Shap's Advanced Config. Under Input, change your keyboard layout to English (even if you have a tilt! don't pick AT&T / Cingular), Go to the right softkey > More settings, and enable cleartype in landscape. (you may want to turn off IE specific cleartype if you have the "I can't see what i'm typing into this text field" issue, that setting is down under Pocket Internet Explorer)
Next, go to any place where you can deploy the SIP. Deploy the Full QWERTY Opal SIP, (Or Phone Keypad, as i know the button is there as well) and hit the options button, go into T9 settings, and uncheck all the boxes.
ParleyP reports that doing that makes typing and texting pretty solid, and i'm not having any major issues as well with it.
Just a note, when you're about to reply to a SMS, deploy the SIP FIRST, then click into the reply area. I'm not sure how it's working with the Auto Deploy SIP tweak enabled, if anyone enables that, play with it in SMS (replies specifically) and let us know.
Also, it may act a bit quirky when replying to SMS after you reply or close out of a viewed message. If so, use the red phone key to go back to the main screen and terminate the Pocket Outlook app. Bit annoying to have to do, yes, but consider it a sacrifice for the speed until we can figure out a better solution, if one is available.
Reserved
Please make sure you have hardspl 3.29 either version and try the eMO 1.71.09.01 and let me know. This is the combination I am using to test.
Also please flash with sim card out of the phone until after customization is complete.

REPOST 1.04.30 now with 2g and 3g dialers
I have repackaged 1.04.30 with the new tools so it should be smoother now.
I have added by demand a 3G dialer as well as a standard 2G Opal Dialer. These are now cooked in rather than added during customization.

NEW 1.5.0.1 Both 3g and 2g dialers New 3.57 21014
Hi,
I have a new experimental build...It is very fast but I have only tested it. Please load it up and put it through the paces.
It is built with new tools, has no dsms or rgus, is very fast and has many of the extra tweaks you all asked for. Also, UC and Sashimi compliance are disabled right now while we test it.
It does not include the extension for file manager. I'll put that in later. More info to follow but here are the links:

I look forward to feedback.

Ultimately Bare--
For those purists who didn't want all those wierd numbered files in the windows directory I have removed them. This rom is NOT chef friendly and does not have the power tweaks or any other major customizations so before you install anything, install advanced config and fix everything the way you want especially disabling the security warning. I am only uploading this to mediafire.
http://www.mediafire.com/?jmc4ozzwhzz
FYI--the 119 dsm files consume only 300kb of memory before they are compressed and put on the phone. These keep this chef friendly---can be used as a base for cooking. I am leaving them in all versions except ultimately bare. Please don't ask about it again.
Removed almost everything including sashimi and UC. I included tierautoinstall cab in the windows folder so you can use that. To use it you have to have all files in either \Storage Card\Boot or the root of the storage card. If you have files that work with UC or sashimi they will work with TierAutoinstall. You must manually reset after connection configuration.
Fixes
RSS hub fixed and available in programs as well as m2d
AudioBooster removed replaced with SRSWOW HD with extended control panel because it works with BT and wired devices. Working on a shortcut fix..with a developer. It works but we have more testing to do and i don't have permission to release it yet.
Included as an installable cab mvarvianslandscape shortcut pane. it is not installed but in the windows directory if you want to install it.
Fixed control panel customization routine
Reduced the autoshortcut/sdautorun craziness on customization
More---check them out and post feedback. I have tried to fix everything but minor ui issues..Travito will gather the bugs up when he is feeling better and we can make sure we got them all. For active sync, the only solution that works is in the next post.
Added: Custom Splash Screen
Removed:
IME_EzInput_1_5_32704_1.cab
WINDOWS\eLiAs_ASyncKiller.cab
Opal Keyboard SIP
Add your own sip--I have no problems with the pcm sip or resco sip.
New build 1.04.30--I am leaving this link as this rom is chef friendly. The new tool creates a rom that cannot be dumped. If you want a new build, I'll package the kitchen for you.

Workarounds/fixes
Active Sync issue is a known issue since windows mobile 5. There is a thread about how to fix this..but these two posts seem most applicable:

Same to you dewhut, sorry I kept you in the dark as far as giving you pre-releases like MBV would send out for solace, but I knew you wanted one that would work solid so I think you and I agreed on AIM that'd it be best to wait, and here it is after weeks of parley working his poor tail off.
For that matter, Merry Christmas everyone!
And for those who want me to be politically correct... HappyMerry Christmahaunakwannzaka!
also mbarv have you tested the raphael keyboards? that's what i typically use and i use the combined cab you made a while back. i'll test this and let you guys know.

MBV is away on Christmas Vacation I think still. Parley might be able to answer your question though, he's done all of the recent development the last two weeks or so.

MBV is on vacation...can you send me a link to the cab and I'll test as well. I want to use whichever one gives us the performance and completely solves our sms issue.

let me upload it and i'll send you the link...i prefer the raphael keyboard because it's much larger than the opal and easier to type imo

Great. I will test it out.
blazing fast rom with potential, the text message bug is like you said rather annoying...once it's fixed it'll be perfect!
active sync
i'm not sure if is a know bug, but i've seen this issue since solace v1.
the problem is that, active sync process is not kill off and can be seen in the task manager. beside that, seems like the active sync process auto started although i've end the process and i did not plug into usb ...
add on --> show sim contact does not work, tried using schap adv config and also manual registry edit, both also not working....
will further test the rom and giv feed back .....
for those who wonder about the speed ..... wonder no more ... this rom has the speed of Ferrari F1 !!!
It seems that you forgot including Office Mobile. I think it is important for most of us.
