• Pressing the "End Call" button does not disconnect GPRS but minimized the active application. Pressing and holding the "End Call" button for about 5 seconds will do a GPRS Disconnect
• Internet access over ActiveSync (USB) connection works (You must apply a registry fix on your PC first. See the next post for the fix)
Requirements
You MUST have an IPL and SPL at 2.xx or higher (BOTH not just one or the other).
You MUST be running ActiveSync 4.5 on Windows XP (Vista comes with the correct sync utility, although there have been issues reported about Vista and sync'ing with PPC's so be aware of that).
Before you attempt to upgrade to this ROM, Please follow this thread to learn how to flash roms and CID unlock, and how to fix issues you may run into! It is also recommended that you flash your phone with a Windows XP computer and not Vista. It will work with Vista, but if you run into problems Vista can't talk to a phone in Bootloader mode!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613
Recomendations
• I HIGHLY Recommend that you flash back to an official rom before upgrading to this (or any) custom rom so you have a clean base (and correct any Extended ROM corruption you might have). G4 users would flash back to their provider's latest official release. G3 users can use T-Mobile 2.26 for a good base.
• If you use BatteryStatus (its NOT included in the rom!) to overclock, I don't recommend overclocking above 260Mhz, and the CPUscaler settings in BatteryStatus should not be set to a min lower than 143MHz (or your device may not wake back up after going to sleep). Personally, I have not tried to overclock this rom due to the performance it already has.
Credits
I would like to thank the following in help (directly and indirectly) with Singh Mobile 6:
• Faria for providing the initial ROM Kitchen that got me cooking
• mfrazz for the guides, information and providing me help with tweaks and his words from forums
• mattk_r for OEM and OS Packs **Chef**
• Theloon for providing me his latest Betas and working on this OS 318.**Main Chef**
• funkadesi who took the time to help with beta/alpha test the early version of this base rom and provided splash pictures and various ideas.
• It's Right (TNT Chef) for his welcome screen i love this
• InGeNeTiCs for taking the time to dump the rom Microsoft put on his phone so we could have this base rom
• Many others here at XDA-Developers.com that provided information, tips, and suggestions that I used when putting this together
Known Issues
• The base rom has a bug / feature where if GPRS is active, unanswered calls may not show up as a missed call and may not give notification of the unanswered call. If this happens, the unanswered call shows up in the history as an answered call with a duration of 1 or 2 seconds.
• Every WM6 rom I've tried has an issue where if you use the "Press and Hold" of the CommManager button to switch to and from Vibrate mode, that the ringtone may not play when not in vibrate mode. To work around this go to Settings > Phone and play your ringtone and your ringing will work again.
• Camera Icon in Pictures & Video doesn't work, But Camera Button and Camera icon in Programs Still works.(I am working with few people to resolve this bug)

Thanks, took me a while to pick them and edit them

Great start of a ROM. I really like it - quick, great app selection, one of the best first tries I have seen. I am having problems, though. It is having serious problems reading my SD card (that has virtually always worked perfectly) and also installing cabs off my SD even when it reads properly (may be related though). I THINK this happened once before when the ROM was heavily compressed like this one. Also, it went on standby earlier and wouldn't come back - had to soft reset. Other than that, I really like it and would look forward to a v1.1!

UPDATE: Been using it off and on all day, and I first have to say - I continue to really like this ROM. Fast, low power consumption, again - great app selection. I haven't had any more problems with standby. I was able to install my cabs by downloading them to main memory and installing them, so it definitely appears to be an issue with the way it is reading the SD card. I checked it out, and no markings other than miniSD, 2.0GB. Black card - must be a generic. The deal is I have had this problem only once or twice with this SD card with over a DOZEN roms, and never this consistent. I remember it being alluded to earlier in this forum, and I think a reg fix took care of it. I will be digging, but any help is appreciated - thanks again for a very good rom!

try these steps
1) take out miniSD
2) Soft Reset
3) insert it in
WHen i flash i usually take out SD b4 i flash it. I never had any problems like this before but i am trying my best to produce it on my PDA LOL.

Hi Guys, let me know if i should remove HTC Streaminng Media and put TCPMP in the place of it. I think TCPMP is alot better and it also plays streaming media files. Correct me if i am wrong. I think in my next release i am going to remove streaming media as its 1.5MB and waste while TCPMP is 1.1MB while its really good.
edit: posted tmobile pack for tmobile users.

nycelitemaster you think you can make a cab file of your CommManager i like it better than the one with the active sync

Thanks for trying! Without going into a ton of detail, let me say that I did do the steps you have here before I flashed this ROM - but - I have flashed a bunch of other ROMs with it in and only seen a similar problem one or twice before (like out of several dozen flashed). Seems odd it would happen now when I "followed the book", but I just gave up on the card and reformatted it. It is working fine now.
More importantly, I want to go on the record to say that again, I have used most every ROM out there for the last year - and this is my favorite. Excellent speed, excellent stability, excellent app selection, good free memory, low power consumption - it just does everything I have asked it to do.
I have had a few random "glitches" with it, but it is nevertheless the best ROM I have used bar none. Thank you for your efforts!

i-mate JASJAR AKU 3.2 Rom Update 1.90.94

Hello Everyone,
It has been a while since my last ROM update and I thought I would build another one based on the newly available AKU 3.2 core. The good news is that I have completed the ROM and have tested it myself extensively (as always) with no major bugs or issues to report. I am now posting the final version for all that wish to help evaluate and test this beta prior to its full release. As I stated above this is my final beta and all features should operate as desired, however if anyone should have issues or suggestions please post them.
Enjoy,
Jwrightmcps

These ROMs are designed for the i-mate JASJAR (WWE) but can be loaded on any "Universal" device using the attached files:
Same as Ivan's
Hi,
Is this rom same as Ivan's? and if not what is the difference?
also, can you PLEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSSSSEEEEEE include the languages pack??
This ROM is designed for the I-mate JASJAR and is completely different than Ivan's O2 ROM although they both share the same AKU 3.2 core. see the above post for my ROM contents.
As for the language pack...
if you are referring the the OS language pack this would be impossible, because that would only be on a new device that has never been used before. The language pack feature is a new design in which a new device would already have all languages loaded in the "program memory" from the factory and when the new owner starts the device for the first time it would ask what language he/she preferred, then after the user's selection it would erase all languages except the one chosen. So these language packs are not available in any ROM and therefore I would never be able to package it.
I hope this answers your questions.
Take care,
Jwrightmcps
hi,
I successfully extracted the ship.exe from the ship.zip,
as I have a Qtek 9000 I need the .nbf files.
It looks that the .exe files are not a SFX CAB archive.
This way I cannot use MaUpgrade to flash my Qtek.
Could you please put a .exe SFX file in the ftp? so I'll be able to extract the nbf files.
Thank you very much
Dias
I flashed it and its really good so far. No problems yet
SFX???
what are you trying to do???
all you need to do is run the .exe and then go to the temp folder (dont close the installer) on your computer and look for the newest folder then open it and copy the nbf files you want.
Then you can use the MaUpgrade tool. You may want to put your device in bootloader mode first.
Take care,
Jwrightmcps
is there any HTC Intellipad included, cause i cannot live without it, in Lt.Cmdr Ivan aku 3.2 beta 12, the phone pad is gone ....
yes intellipad, smart dialer, voice dialer and many other features.
enjoy!

Hi,
I just did:
- Start install
- open (windows->run) "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp"
find latest created folder (which contained all nbf files).
- copy *.nbf to where maUpgrade was extracted
- close install
- run maUpgrade (needed to do it twice as it didnt go into serial mode fist time).
hope this help

Regards,

Heres my findings and bugs report for this latest Beta Roms we have here, plus i got a New Version of SIM Manager 5.22 to share with u guys!!
NEW SOFTWARE!!!
New SIM Manager v5.22
Current Version in the ROM is v3.16
I found this NEW Version of Sim Manager v5.22 from the Internet. You can copy ALL your name contacts from memory to SIM card at one go. One catch though - contacts saved under company names will only display contact numbers and NOT company names. Would like to share this and hopefully u can intergate it into your next Beta release or maybe the Final release.
Bugs Found:
1: Hardware buttons not responding anymore
a) volume slider
b) light button
c) voice dial
d) camera
SMS Multiple Recipient improvements
2: Cannot find this function in the inbox application for SMS. Not sure if its included or buggy sorry i cannot find it. Pls englight me on this issue. Thanks!
New Ringtone Plug-in
3: Sorry, can't find this application or program either.
4) Default File Explorer is Missing!!!
Findings:
1)New Camera application 3.00 22764
Camera Pictures Quality still not much improved
There is a newer version found in UNI.AKU3.2WWE-indra9110.BETA1 (130.115) Camera Version is 3.00 22844, i can't get hold of this version hopefully someone who has this version can share and contribute. Thanks!!
2)Screen Rotation icon no longer in taskbar!
I personally found this icon very useful, can pls reinstate in your nest Beta or the Final release. Really Appreciated!!
3)Bottom Bar Default Calender and Contacts function changed to Notes and Contacts.
Its this a AKU 3.2 upgrade or can it be changed back to Calender and Contacts Instead??
4) New Game included
Pocket Chess- Cool!!
5)Some findings on Default Memory on this Latest AKU 3.2 Rom
Default Storage Memory- 37.38MB
Default Program Memory- 28.91MB
6) Speed
Yes, Definately we have a faster ROM, still cannot comment on stability cos just downloaded it an hour ago, hope my findings can help improve this ROM further. Thanks Jwrightmcps Great Job, keep it going man!!
Does this rom support Video calls ?
Does this rom support Video calls ?
thanks
it does support Video calls
4) Default File Explorer is Missing!!!
Its in the Start menu (I thought a 3.2 Feature)
1: Hardware buttons not responding anymore
mine does
a) volume slider
Mine works
b) light button
does not work (i use the power on off button
c) voice dial
Dont care
d) camera
Works
Bugs...
The file explorer is not missing it is on the start menu (look closer please, as your post might scare people)
"ALL" hardware buttons should work, as the do on all my test phones (7 JASJAR's) Please check this again.
SMS Multiple Recipient improvements means you can SEND a text message to more than one person at a time much easier than before (this is an AKU 3.2 feature)
The Ringtone Plug-in is found by doing a "tap and hold" on any sound file, this now includes mp3 files. (so there is no program to run, that is why you don't see it)
The Calendar softkey was replaced with Notes, due to the fact you can already launch the calendar from the today screen. Leaving it as the default "Calendar" is redundant don't you think? I fell it is far more useful to have another program to launch, such as the notepad, so one could take notes quickly. I will not change this, but could provide a signed cab file that would change it to the default.
Screen Rotation Icon, again this is another redundant feature that was removed, since our devices will rotate the screen automatically. I will not change this either, but again I can provide a signed cab file for those that wish to have this icon available.
There were many other additions that I don't think you noticed yet. You all should pay attention to the things like "USB HDD", "Bluetooth Settings w/ all profiles" and the updated "Bluetooth Mouse support" just to name a few.
I hope this answers you questions
-Jwrightmcps
First of all, I would like to say thanks for this ROM (and all the guys like Ivan & Indra that put a lot of effort into it).
My observations of this ROM:
1. All buttons works perfectly. Volume, Voice Dial etc...
2. ROM is much polished than Ivan's ROM. A lot of Registry tweaks are even included already.
3. Initially after Hard Reset, the ROM felt very sluggish. However, after applying the usual Registry Tweaks this ROM just flies.
4. First time sync with Activesync 4.5 Beta is really fast. Normally it's a pain!
5. Clear Storage now resides in Control Panel as 'System Restore' so does Download Agent.
6. Lots of goodies: PhonePad, Smart Dialing, USB HDD, BT Profiles/Drivers/SIM Access, Clearvue PDF, Voice Speed Dial as well as Pocket Chess.
7. Messaging is now 'Outlook Mobile'
Will observe more Once I got all my softwares installed.
As for now, this ROM looks good.
Cheers!

Crossbow Reloaded v1.7 - Smooth and Stable WM6 Computing for the Wizard

Crossbow Reloaded v1.7
Smooth and Stable WM6 Computing for the Wizard
The latest incarnation of the Crossbow Reloaded series is again based on the Faria WM6 ROM that was part of the Faria ROM Kitchen. I've continued to modify the base rom to adjust and update it and work out a few bugs / features, but its still the stable base that makes Crossbow Reloaded a dependable WM6 version for the Wizard devices. One of the major changes in the cooking process of this rom is the use of edhaas ROM Packer Kitchen. I highly recommend using the tools in this to gain extra room and to overall speed up how some things work.
Just like with the previous releases, please remember that this ROM is a product of what _I_ wanted with many inputs from users of 1.0 and 1.5, so no complaints about why does this rom have this in it, or why didn't you put this in there. If you don't like how this rom is spiced, then go grab the Faria ROM Kitchen and make your own version. I am open to ideas on how to improve the rom (most of the changes in this version are direct results of ideas and comments posted in the Crossbow Reloaded 1.5 thread).
Please Note: this ROM was NOT intended to push the limits on speed optimization or memory optimization. It was made to be functional, stable, and something that I myself wanted and will use. I've found it to perform at a better than acceptable level for myself, and so far Battery life seems just as good as any other WM6 ROM I've tried. If you have Battery Drain issues, make sure you flashed back to an official rom before you upgraded to this one, as that should correct extended rom corruption that has been shown to cause battery draining. Also note that I've been running this version for days and have not even used overclocking and found it to perform very nicely (so Overclocking should work very nicely if you feel the need).
What's Different in V1.7 from V1.5?
Removed Transcriber (actually this wasn't in v1.5 or v1.0, but I just want to make it clear its not here either) (Can be added back via CAB)
Added VoIP (See next post for instructions to set this up)
HTC X-Button downgraded to v1.0 (The new 1.5 version has issues with impacting changes on the Today screen) and now turned on by default
Removed PocketXpdf and added Adobe Reader LE back
Added Mobile Justice (a security app that will send an SMS if an unauthorized SIM is placed in your phone)
Added SIP Config 2.0.1
Added StartClean
Added Pocket Screen Capture
Added HTC Audio Manager
Added CicleBT (Toggle BlueTooth on and off)
Added SynchroTIme
Removed default Calculator and Added 1-Calc to replace it
Removed GSFinder (use Total Commander instead)
Upgraded Total Commander to Beta 2.5
Upgraded WiFiFoFum to 2.2.9
Upgraded PIM Backup to 1.9
Upgraded to Office 2007
Numerous fixes and tweaks. Also compression of some large app files that now actually make them start faster!
New first and second splash screens
Windows Live Search searches via Google
Base ROM Information
This is my modified version of Faria's WM6 found in the Faria ROM Kitchen V2, so its a "fixed" version of Faria's "the real thing" release that was then made vanilla and that I've added packages back into, and changed/fixed/enhanced.
ROM Version: 2.18.0.0 WWE
ROM Date: 02/14/06
Protocol: 4.1.13.09
ExtROM version: Faria V5.0
There is no Radio, IPL, SPL or Extended ROM.
In addition to the changes mentioned above for what is different, here is a list of the other added apps that were also in the 1.5 release:
TodayAgenda
Notepad editor
Pocket RAR
HTC X-Button 1.0 (turned on by default)
PIM Backup
Total Commander
MoDaCo NoData (so you can turn off data sources)
mUn Keyboard Skin

Regional Settings default to English (United States) and use a slash for the date seperator (M/dd/yyyy)
Menu sounds work by default
Pressing the "End Call" button does not disconnect GPRS but minimized the active application. Pressing and holding the "End Call" button for about 5 seconds will do a GPRS Disconnect
Internet access over ActiveSync (USB) connection works (You must apply a registry fix on your PC first.

Recomendations
I HIGHLY Recommend that you flash back to an official rom before upgrading to this (or any) custom rom so you have a clean base (and correct any Extended ROM corruption you might have). G4 users would flash back to their provider's latest official release. G3 users can use T-Mobile 2.26 for a good base.
If you use BatteryStatus (its included in the rom!) to overclock, I don't recommend overclocking above 260Mhz, and the CPUscaler settings in BatteryStatus should not be set to a min lower than 143MHz (or your device may not wake back up after going to sleep).
For Cingular users, I STRONGLY recommend you use the T-Mobile 2.19 UK Radio. Newer Radio versions tend to have missed calls and SMS messages (just like with all other WM6 ROMs). G4 users, see the next post on flashing the Splash screens for a tip if you get errors trying to flash the 2.19 Radio ROM.

Known Issues
After flashing, verify your phone keypad is there. If its not, you will need to try doing a "Clear Memory" or Hard Reset. If that doesn't work, then reflash the rom. I'm trying to find the cause of this now.
It has been found that this camera patch will help improve the camera app in lower light conditions.
Official Download Sites for Crossbow Reloaded v1.7
I'll update this list with mirrors as they become available
PLEASE READ THIS
There are known issues with this rom on SOME phones. The obvious issue is after flashing you will not have a phone keypad. Those using ShellTool are finding they have to flash their devices twice. Most missing the keypad can immediately reflash the rom a second time and then its fine. If you have issues, the look through the thread and see if its been reported already. I'm working on rebuilding this, but since its working for some people, I'm not pulling the links. Your decision to download and flash this rom is YOUR decision. If the rom causes you issues, you were warned and it was your decision. Don't PM me about issues.

Transcriber and more
The Black 3 Add-on CABs file has installable cabs for Transcriber, VoIP, Adobe Reader LE, and Windows Live & Messanger (slightly newer version than in Crossbow Reloaded v1.5). I've tested all of these on my Wizard and they work fine. Also included in this file is Cyberon VoiceCommander, Cyberon Voice Dial, VIjay555 utils, and a Slingbox patch (none of these I've tested). Since Adobe Reader and VoIP are in 1.7 you won't need those, but for those wanting Transcriber, just run the cab on your phone and you can scribble away on your screen

Splash Screens and Splash Only RUU for G4
For G4 users, I've attached a zip file with the Splash Screens of this rom (since you don't get them when you use the shell tool). As I understand it, this is completely safe for a G4 as its nothing but splash screens (no OS, IPL, SPL, Extended ROM, etc, just splash and htc logo screens). I've also placed the .bmp files that make up the splash screen in the zip file so you can see them directly before flashing this. Before anyone asks, yes, the htc logo one is grainy. I had to do that due to size limitations of the file. I tried for a couple of hours to get a nicer version to work but it wouldn't display correctly (seems to have to be pretty low res / non-complex)
If you have problems flashing the above RUU on a G4, then extract this http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=29158&d=1152698784 and pull the nk.nbf file out of the above Splash Screen file and put it into the directory of this one and run this RUU. You can use the same method for flashing the Radio Only ROM (pull the nk.nbf file out of the radio only rom and put it into the directory of this RUU and run it). Thanks anichillus for that link!
Weather Panel Setup
See my post in the Wizard forum on how I setup WeatherPanel. It will give you a fixed dll with correct moon phases through 2008, new/better Moon phase icons, and a cool theme called Chameleon-240 QVGA. I dumped SBSH Pocket Weather after seeing this setup

Info on Included Apps
MobileJustice v0.8
MobileJustice is an Anti-theft app that you can configure on your phone. Just go to Start > Programs > Accessories and click on the MJConfig icon (first time in you will get a message that there isn't a config file, just click ok and it will be created). To us this, check the Enabled box, then click Add on the Allowed line. You can then setup your SIM card as an authorized one, and add other SIM cards IMSI numbers if you use more than one. Next click on Add next to Report to: and setup an SMS number (wife, friend, colleague) where you want the text message to go to if an unauthorized SIM is put into your phone. You can add multiple SMS numbers if you want. At this point, your phone will now be setup so that if an unauthorized sim is put in it, then it will send an SMS (with no record of it being sent) to your Report To list on the next boot (you can test this by not setting up (or removing) the Allowed and then doing a soft reset).
For more advanced, you can turn on the Disp MsgBox at the top and then put in some text in the MsgBox text line. This will pop up a Message box on the screen of the phone after a boot, if an unknown sim is in the phone.
You can also enable RMon (bottom half of the screen), put in a pass phrase, and then turn on MsgBox (GPS and LocCall do not work on Wizards, and the other options haven't been implemented in this version). By doing this, you can now send an SMS to your phone in the following format:
+m passphrase message
Rmon will intercept the sms message (so it will not show up as a received message), and if the passphrase matches the one you put in the configuration, then it will pop up a message box on the phone with your message in it (so you can secretly send messages to the thief to possibly intimediate them (or whatever).
The project page for MobileJustice is located at: https://sourceforge.net/projects/mjustice/
Thanx will flash in a few hours

Could you give any info about available memory?
Hi and thank you! I've just flashed my QTek 9100 and everything is fine. Still can't activate VOIP from Comm manager even after configuring it with SIPConfig
But all other things are great!
Thank you again
Just flashed with the ROM. It looks nice so far. I haven't used Crossbow Reloaded before so I don't know the changes form earlier versions.

All... I'm going back and forth on a couple of things. I put Office 2007 in the latest build I'm running. I'll probably keep it in, but its huge compared to Office 2003 (another 2meg larger it appears). I thought with the latest RomPacker kitchen I could get Office 2K7 and PocketXpdf back in, but that just won't happen. If I go back to Office 2003 then I can get PocketXpdf (or maybe even AdobeReaderLE) back in the rom. Comments?

I second the vote:
I know it's a lot of work building these ROMS but a Office 2003 version would be nice. Would it be hard to replace 2007 with 2003? You have the ROM built and I'm not talking about building a new one just making a change to the ROM you have.
The Vanilla Rom that Faria built was in part to reduce the amount of memory used.
Just my 2 cents, but thanks for listening.
Thanks for all your work from us that haven't ventured into the Kitchen.

Ugh! Thats what I get for putting this out so late last night... I took a bunch of screen captures, then realized I needed to change something so reflashed again and lost all of that. I can't flash to a clean rom at the moment to get new captures, but after the flash there was 28meg free Program memory.
I'll update the first post with captures in a few hours.
@farrusete - Yep, thats what I figured on VoIP. Sorry, but I just couldn't seem to get past that.
@Kage and Wizzzard - Thanks for the mirrors, but I won't put those in the first post as that post tends to be posted in other forums
@Eximius - I'll update your mirror in the first post shortly
@nfollmer - thanks, and yes, major issues for me with the newer BS versions (it would just disappear off the screen sometimes)
@Cing 8125 - I'll consider a Office 2003 release, but it isn't quite as easy as you think since I completely replaced it with 2007. Would have to have a seperate code line (with how I have it setup now).
@joaosousa - Are you saying you have VoiP working? If so, please let me know the details so I can update the 2nd post with info. Thanks!
Voip
Yes, i have VoIP working.
I have just installed the wm6voip.cab i have posted in my previous post and after a restart i configured the SIP service using the SIPConfig Tool.
The only problem is that the sound comes out from the side speakers and not from the "normal call" speaker. But this seams to be a problem that all wizard's rom's have.
In SIPConfig i used my VoipBuster account.
Service name: Voip
SIP Server: sip.voipbuster.com
UserName: my_voipbuster_user_name
Password: my_voipbuster_user_password
I will install later on this afternoon. I need something stable mine is always locking up on me and I lose messages.
Hows A2DP working on this one?

• NotToSmart & Jruser for help with squashing the camera bug

Any Comments?
Alright Vijay, this turns out to be quite a nice rom. No issues reported here yet. Very stable and has great battery so far. Will keep you updated.
Any hint how "excellent" the Battery Life is ?Thanks. I want to try this for long lasting battery life but want to know how good it is before I try.
well it depends on what you do :d if you have MS direct push to consistently check your email and download data, and call couple of time a day like me :d i get my battery down to 60% to 68% percent. My avg is 65%. Take off the phone 8 in the morning by 7:00pm i have in the range of 60s, that is mass usages of GPRS & Calls with some use of wifi . Again it also depends on what you have installed as well. I used battery status ext, from last week which was reported to be a battery drainer, and until today i had 65% avg. I installed new Battery Status i will report in 2-3 days
Thank you , nycelitemaster. You answered my question!!! Expecting your report on BS... That's right the thing I want to know as well: Which version of the Battery Status is the most power saving. Hehe... Some verion is said to be a powerful source of battery drain rather than......
so far no issues. u have a great rom there. i love the tweaks u have installed in accessories. will report back later. good job.
one thing i think should be changed are the crappy wm6 ringtones. they suck
You are da man!
I'm a newbie at braving losing my 8125 with T-mo, but I read and re-read all the intrustions from multiple posts. After messing even that up, and doing the RUUs 10 - 15 times, it all paid off in the end with you update.
Thanks much for all your hard work! I'm enjoying the benefits. WM6 looks awesome (I'm into asthetics first, and then functionality!)
Everyone who's contributed is awesome!

so far i am getting better report with battery status :d I have OC'd my CPU to 223Mhz, and my BS Version is 1.04.203 beta4 passed 12 hours i am down to 50% of battery with mass use of GPRS/Edge for MS Direct Push, i get approximately 100+ email daily from my job, so yea that burns alot of battery and i have fizzweather running every 2 hours for update. I am quite impressed this is good.
edit: Thanks for the lovely comments but not being rude but Don't forget theloon, he is the main chef who worked day and night for this. With his permission i posted the cook on the forum with my own apps and extra tweaks :d. my biggest thanks goes to theloon for letting us work with him on alphas and betas of this OS. Again Theloon should be thanks first :d

• Camera 3.0
• reTouched Dailer
• Comm Manager 10 Buttons (IR Instead of useless ActiveSync Icon)
• Regional Settings default to English (United States) and use a slash for the date seperator (M/dd/yyyy)
• Menu sounds work by default
• NotToSmart & Jruser for help with squashing the camera bug

Dear, I have a different need. I am desperately looking for the Ingenetics ROM. The built that you said 15342.4.0.01 is needed. I tried a lot of roms which were said to be the original ones but have built number 15342.0.0.0.
Please help. Thanks for the new ROM will try it. BTW the nottoosmart ROM has a memory leak. After installing the free program memory is very low
Regards,
Alber
I'm using it.. Runs real well (good job) Just having little problems with the media player not comming up like usual and I kind of miss windows live messenger stuff. Overall it seems to run quick even without the BS app. I'm going to try to make my own and hope it will come out well.
Also curious if you or anyone has a copy of the USA MDA rom upgrade? I can't download it on any of the links and even t-mobile no longer has it on there site. Please PM me if you have it. Thanks- Bryan

[2007-12-17] Q-Mobile 1.1 ROM Final

Attention, this ROM version is now deprecated, see this thread for Q-Mobile 1.2!
5.2.1948 Build 18548.0.7.0
And...without further ado. This should be the final revision of this ROM for a while. All bugs from 1.0 fixed with a couple more tweaks, etc. If you think you're missing something read these posts in full and you'll probably find it.
For AT&T Tilt users...I have had a few guinea pig volunteers I will be tapping later this week in an attempt to make a port for your network. Keep in mind this will be specifically for those users wanting to use radio 14.09 with an AT&T data service plan. If you have a tilt but are not an AT&T customer you should probably just use this ROM. See this thread for information on radios.
Tweaks/etc.
Don't forget to check out the Q-Mobile 1.1 Downloads section in the next post...I'm always updating it with pertinent information as people request features and/or find tweaks, bug fixes for certain configurations, etc.
Upgrade Directions
Install HardSPLv1 if you haven't already!
Flash this ROM.
After first boot, perform a HARD RESET. This is accomplished by holding both soft keys while pushing the reset. You will see a white screen asking you to press the send key to wipe your device; do this.
Why? Because it really *can* help make the ROM run like it should. I confirmed this with Spb Benchmark.
Does it make other ROMs run better too? Yes.
ChangeLog for 1.11
Sounds & Notifications are fixed!
- Sorry about this...there were some permissions issues which prevented them from being selectable. Already upgraded to 1.1 and installed files? No problem! Read this post to see alternative options or why it won't hurt to do a full backup and then restore after upgrading to 1.11 (from 1.1 only).
ChangeLog for 1.1
Email attachments fixed!
- Q-Mobile 1.0 had a bug where attachments in email wouldn't open until you saved them. This is now fixed!
.Net CF 3.5 Fixed!
- Added Net CF Config under Programs\System in case you have to run multiple versions. Almost all apps should work with 3.5 now, but if they don't you can install 2.0 SP2 from below and use this app to decide which runtime your app should use. Remember that 3.5 is a LOT faster so use it where possible!
SQL Server Compact 3.5 is fixed.
- Since only the server core has changed to 3.5 there should be no application incompatibility--but if you need an earlier version they should be able to work in tandem. No configurator is necessary as with .Net 3.5 above.
MS Office 2007 Uprage for File Formats
- Now you can open even more (unconverted) file types! (Think email attachments).
More GDI/Font Cache options in Kaiser Tweak! If you have a lot of graphics on your today screen you can now set the cache even larger than before!
- If you are having an issue with icons loading slowly you can also turn off the File System and/or File System Filter caches--this may help or it may not, experiment to see what works for your setup!
Equalizer 1.02 was removed.
- As pointed out it appears to work but doesn't really. If you think it was working for you check Dutty's cabs below and install it again!
More cleanup with regard to deprecated files.
- This includes the customer feedback application, more registry settings dealing with SQM, etc.
HTC Recorder tweak. (Directory default is now My Audio instead of My Voices).
Camera shutter sound is now off by default.
- This is an option available within the camera settings menu so feel free to turn it back on. I find the camera takes faster pictures with it off, not to mention it was annoying
Kaiser Tweak now has options for more storage card power management settings.
- The internal SD card is now linked to the next option (Pocket IE cache).
Kaiser Tweak has a new option for the Pocket IE cache location which can be changed to be on your storage card.
- Be aware that if you enable this, the power management for the internal SD card *must* be disabled (and it should do this automatically) because Pocket IE will hang the entire machine if it isn't.
Compact List of Features
TouchFLO (finger scrolling) *is* included. FTouchFLO/Cube is not.
.Net CF 3.5
Sql Server Compact 3.5
FULL Video Access (Full YouTube as well as the normal m.youtube.com)
Custom KaiserTweak for this ROM.
Arcsoft MMS 4.2.8.1
Esmertec Java 2007.08.02 (Opera Mini & Google App verified to work)
Microsoft Office 2007 (Updated with Nov 28th Extensions)
Microsoft One Note Mobile
HTC Random Access
TCPMP 0.81 (This is newer than 0.72RC1)

If you have other questions about this rom, they may already be answered in this thread. Be aware that there are bugs mentioned in that thread, but all of them were either addressed as non-bugs or fixed for this release. PROTOCOL VERSION: 22.51.88.13H

I love your rom, but please leave the clear storage function in your next if it will be any next version It can´t take that much of resources to leave it because my Tytn II is really hard to make a hard reset, sometimes I have to press the f*cking button combination 30 times untill it makes as it should and it is so frustrating - I sometimes feel the urge to throw the bugger into the wall
Othervise I loved 1.0 so this could only be better
Is there a way to uninstall office and the coreplayer ???
I'm french and I prefere install a french office pearhaps without last update ...
I'm working for few days with the first version and I really think it's the best one... i'am glade to see this new version !!!
Go on man !!!!
Haven't tried your v1.0 but I think this is a good chance to test this your latest version! Looks very impressive based on compact feature set and the screenshots! Thanks.

Ok thanx ! I shall look in SK Tools, never thought of it
I've some .reg file to install but on this rom itsays me that : "there is no application associated with "my file.reg". Run the application first, then open this file from within the application"...
Why can't it write on my BDR ???
I haven't installed the ROM yet but you'd need a regeditor to be installed before you can run/associate .reg files... PHM reg editor and Schap's reg editor are some good free ones...Schap's Advanced Config utility is then a good tool to use to associate your reg editor to the file.
Dear Quentin,
Could you specify if the bug "when one turns on vibrate only, and the vibration never stops with incoming calls?" is solved also with this ROM? Thanks a lot!

Won't Cook!
Apparently when I tried cooking using this rom, then flash it, I'm stucked at the "smart mobilty" screen. I'm using KitchenROM 0.3, and I added the HTC Task Manger and Network Wizard. Any ideas?
I found one bug that is bugging me Can´t change the sounds for incoming sms and mail. The list with sounds is just emtpy even though the wav and wma files are in the windows directory. Only me getting this?

Same here....
Very good ROM
I have to admit that after flashing all ROMs in this forum this is the most responsive one. It has exactly what I need.
The only thing I noticed that is not working properly is the shortcut on HTC Home for the backlight.
Is it possible to fix it?
Regards

[Release Thing_21040_21051] - Lotsa RAM V1.1

Thingonaspring WM6.1_21040_21051 V1.1
V1.1 Changes :-
- WM5Torage updated to 1.9 and working
- Fixes to file associations
- Flash Disk 28mb (IE Cache, cookies and history default to this drive)
- TCPMP 0.81 now has better WMV support (WMA9pro not working yet)
- Bluetooth headsets and wireless stereo (A2DP) now work
- A2DP is difficult to test as my wireless headset is not great, your mileage may vary
- Buttonsetting page - added extended buttonsettings.
- PocketRAR updated to latest version
- More execution trust certificates removed
- Additional Certificate Authority root certificate added
Universal WM6.1 21040_21051
21040 XIP
21051 SYS
4mb Pagepool
33.8Mb free RAM on clean boot
28mb Flash Disk
Removed :-
- Windows Media Player
- Office OneNote
- Customer Satisfaction (SQM)
- FirmWareUpdate
- Catalog
- Entertainment (games)
- Transcriber
- Getting started
- Backdrop and bootsplash images
- and lots more annoying MS nonsense ;-)
Included :-
- TCPMP 0.81 fully integrated to replace Windows Media. Suports WMA/WMV/FLV/FLAC/OGG/DIVX/MP3.......
- PocketNotepad
- PocketRAR
- XPDF
- PSShutXP
- Dutty's SDHC driver package (tested with 2/4/8/16gb)
- PimBackup
- JWright's Network Plugin
- TaskManager 3.1
- TotalCommander 2.5
- MSN Messenger (the old one that eats less RAM)
- Remote Desktop Client
- FDCTaskSwitcher (press the backlight button)
- WM5torage (working and updated to v1.9)
This build uses extremely simple layouts for Today and Dialer screens.
The spartan white backgrounds may look clunky, but the fact that they use no backdrop image saves >1mb of ram at all times
This rom also leaves out bootsplash screens, so you will see a black screen on boot, followed by a white screen.
Tap the white screen to begin using the device on 1st boot.
Drivers, XIP section, registry, pagepool and filesystem have all been optimised for speed and RAM.
Priviledge execution certificate checking (and unnecessary certificates) have been removed to save CPU cycles, registry space and whatever other resources that crap was wasting.
Every single EXE, DLL, MUI, CPL and plugin has been made into a module - with the exception of .NET libs (can't be modular) and one or two specific DLLs that will not boot in modular form.
I wanted to remove everything unnecessary and leave the maximum resources available.

nice to hear from you. a new ROM is always nice.
maybe I'll try it later.
Cheers
EDIT: can you provide a kitchen to add some apps like fingerkb and fingermenu, or even better provide a new version with it?
btw i still keep some a your previous kitchen/rom modded with some oem that i added, hehe cooking was funny.
Thanks a lot thingonaspring!
Nice to see you back cooking for Uni!
Wish List
It's nice to see a performance oriented ROM for our UNI.
Will try to flash it tonight.. Is there a performance option to overclock the CPU speed?
just to share my thought, I think a vanilla ROM optimised for performance should have these mandatory apps:
1. performance setting to overclock CPU speed
2. Advanced config
3. wkTASK manager (the best i ever used) / other task manager
4. SDHC support
5. WM5torage
6. mortscript support for oxios hibernate
7. Of course, oxios hibernate or other apps to recover our precious, precious RAM.
for multimedia, the best & RAM efficient apps that i've ever used :
1. TCPMP player for video
2. S2P for music
3. S2V for picture viewer
it's just my thought.. for our Uni has very little RAM (at least for 64mb standard version) any other suggestion will be nice

One question to EXPERTS
Is there any limit how many times the DOC of Unoversal can be formatted?
Because I use Cotulla Q3 rom and to change to some other rom I have to format DOC everytime....so please comment.
(Or should I start a new thread for my querry)
Wow, nice to have you back Thing. Thought we'd lost you. Loved your last ROM... along with it's kitchen... however as you say, I think that was well over a year ago.
I've just flashed and installed another ROM. However, I'll give this one a go now.
Awe come on, "This file is neither allocated to a Premium Account, or a Collector's Account, and can therefore only be downloaded 10 times"
Can someone upload somewhere else please?

Welcome back Thingonaspring, this looks an interesting build. Maybe one of the 10 downloaders would like to share their copy and mirror it for others to try, then we can do the same?

Bluetooth & ringtone..
Bluetooth not working...do I need some 3rd party app?
Standard ringtone only!And I can't add another ringtone,is there any way ?
On soft reset it has 33 MB RAM.
With all the apps (Resco / MSVC etc... but no SPB stuff) I still get ~30MB.
Looks are lesser than pure vanilla though. But it is already expected.
Is it a final release or beta.
