Amstrad CPC emulator PocketCaprice 0.9 released, with many new features & bugfixes!
PocketCaprice, the only Amstrad CPC emulator for the Pocket PC (no Smartphone compliance, sorry), has just been updated with several new features, enhancements and bugfixes:
• Built-in keyboard support.
• Added disk image saving function.
• Added snapshot saving function.
• On screen buttons added.
• New assembly blit routine, may be faster depending on CPU model.
• Intel 2700g double pixel feature (Dell x51v/x50v).
• Sound buffer synchronization fixed. There are a known bug, on faster devices may freeze PocketCaprice during a few seconds.
• Many other minor fixes and enhancements.

QTv.dll is included in all ROMs that I have made from 1/1/08 for kaiser + polaris. For that reason I have improved records in the reproduction video.
Do not wait for big improvement, only 5-10% speed increase in video reproduction. For better results don't forget to use DivX to encode video.

Video playback is still very jerky when I play DivX videos with this resolution. Are there any settings that have to be changed in Coreplayer after installation?
Just make sure your renderer is set to QTV. Nothing special besides that

lol, start reading this forum then. There are alot of tweaks which makes the TC faster, even in DiVX playback.
KS20 : coreplayer acceleration not working because of the lack of QTV.DLL
Hi,
Like the other KS20 users, we can not use the QTV mode of coreplayer (black screen).
After reading this topic and the post at http://www.corecodec.com/forums/ind...045046659a36ad91b09&topic=725.msg4265#msg4265, I can confirm that QTV.DLL is not on this PPC. I found a version of QTV.DLL on another thread, but after registering it (keeping the driver order of 21 found on kaisers, which is perhaps wrong since KS20 have different drivers...), all I got was minor display glitches but coreplayer in QTV mode still gave me a black screen.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible that the poor result of my QTV registering be due to a wrong drivers order ? If so, can you give me indications about how to determine the right order ? Like I said, the PPC did function but with some glitches like refresh problems (text not blanked in applications frames and so unreadable when selection is changed and new one is displayed, empty lines when moving selection in lists, ...).
Another possible solution is getting a newer QTV.DLL, since the one I have is quite old and much bigger than yours (93712 bytes when it seems most of you have around 86k ones). Can someone post newer versions of this DLL (I saw that some have 01/08 dated ones) ?
I really thanks you for any clue in making coreplayer functioning in QTV mode on LG KS20.

It works! no really it does.. guys.. for those of you who were so into this.. it works. well maybe i am exaggerating, but here is a pic after a core player benchmark. note: the previous version had only the 109% boost. so yea. it's cool.

Should work on any Android 2.2+ device
Remote functionality requires a Wifi enabled Android device and a UPNP/DLNA Media Renderer on the same network (LAN).
Local video playback is delegated whatever media player you may have installed.
Photo/video support is highly device dependent. As a generally rule, anything you can play off a USB drive should work via DLNA. Videos shot on phones/tablets seem to work well. Canon .mov video files seem to have audio issues on many devices (why they did not use MP4/AAC is beyond me)

Enabling Play To/DLNA
Gallery Remote should automatically detect your DLNA devices when you select remote, but you may need to enable their Media Renderer functionality. Here's how for select devices:

Click "Stream"
Select "Allow Remote Control of My Player..."
Confirm Changes (depending on security)

Select OK when it asks for permission

I've been mostly testing the remote stuff on my Galaxy S. It appears that 3.2.1 has a bug where it disregards the manual rotation handling and recreates the Activity. This leaked the server connection and would cause Socket in use exceptions for subsequent connections. Took the opportunity to clean up the connect/disconnect handling.
I'm getting close to posting it on the market. Anybody have any issues? Any suggestions for functionality? Any name suggestions?

Important: I am now passing the last 20 lines from the syslog on crash/parse error. I'm only sending logs from this app and the ActivityManager. I've added extra remote logging for JPEG parser issues. It will send me the name and path of the file, but not the picture. It will send up to 3 parser logs per session.

The last release was supposed to be the the final release, but I ended up making some major changes. Lots of new networking code.

When playing a video, you will now get a seekable progress bar and the ability to pause (stop) a video
Forced the screen to stay on during slideshow to prevent SD unmount (and app crash)
Rewrote network stack to improve device detection, play position accuracy and player notifications
Fixed bug with NOTIFY (Should improve compatibility/stability)

Fixes a couple of force closes
A tail of two releases. I've post both 0.9.6.1 and 0.9.6.1d. The "d" stands for debug. In the event of a parser crash, version "d" will send the EXIF header as part of the debug. The EXIF header primarily contains camera information at the time of shoot. It may contain things like your name, your GPS location at the time of shooting. It doesn't contain anything sensitive like user names or password. It's the same information you send when you upload a picture to Facebook or Picasa or e-mail a photo (minus the actually photo). I've gone through hoops to make sure it does not upload any part of the visual image.
I encourage the debug version as I still have a few crashes that I can't seem to nail down. I will not share the information.

Thanks! I've now found a couple of problems. First, some apps are naming GIF files a jpgs (arg). Second, some cameras are writing invalid type tags. I'm updating my code to ignore them as per the spec.

Gamer Box has its own Engine named GamerBoxEngine which has Three modes/profile to choose:
-Performance Mode : This mode gives you more frame rates.All you need to do is Just set the Resolution lower than your default resolution and set the governor from the list
-Normal Mode : Set your resolution and Governor for normal Game-play
-Quality Mode : If you have High-End Device and if you feel your Gameplay graphics not looking good..? then Set the resolution Higher than your default and set Performance as the Governor for this Mode
Quality Mode will be more useful if you cast your device screen to TV or to the Monitor and it will renders Sharp Textures
While Switching the Engine On,The SystemUI may restart and it May Freeze for a Second..Don't be Panic...!!
Not-Only the Games you can Run any app in any of these three modes
-To Stop and Exit the GamerBoxEngine and the Current running Game/App then just click the Notification it will automatically turns off.This is because,once you changed the Resolution,Android will disable the navigation controls..So you will lose the Control to navigate between the apps...once you stopped the Engine then you will get all the controls back..Games Really Don't need the Navigation Controls to use..
