Hi, just got an incoming call on my pda, but i could hardly hear the caller.
I was walking outside, with a single car driving by during the conversation. When it had passed, i still could hardly hear the caller.
My question is: where can I adjust the volume of the calling sound. If I press the +/- on the side of the G900, it only makes the normal sound/ringtone sound louder.
I want to here the caller more clear. I have searched all settings. Of all sound settings I came accross, none of them had anything to do with the calling sound of the caller.
My pda is a Tosh G900 with WM6 Pro.
Thanks in advance.
not sure about your phone but normaly when one click the vol icon
2 sliders come up 1 for pda and 1 for phone

that's true, both were maxed.
Even answering a call inside a quiet building is not at the volume I expect.

I have a strange problem with my Vox. Sometimes right after I turn it on (so there is only WM6 in RAM and no other apps are running) the screen shows the crossed speaker icon. The sound in the profile is surely ON, but still there is no ringtone in the speaker on an icoming call. Not a big deal as long as use a BT headset since the headset rings OK. But when at home with BT off I keep missing calls and sms. What's that? Does anybody know where in the registry is the key for turning the speaker on/off? Any other clues? Thanks!
I ran a test to see how long it takes for my phone to actually start ringing.
And it took at the least 4 seconds to start ringing, by this time the caller has heard the ring in his ear for about 5 rings.
Does anybody know how this can be fixed or to be made faster?
What ring setting have you got ? Vibrate and then ring ?

If i remember right the easiest solution is to convert your MP3 ringtone to a .wav file.
Its set to Vibrate and Ring

That is also in my case.
But... once I had a longer period. I checked the taskmanager and a lot of software was loaded. Maybe a program was too busy.
Then I tested again and loaded a bunch of programs and each time the phone was like above: 1e ring blinking and second ringing.
Of course it is possible that, while calling from the same number, the mp3/wav is already in memory, speeding up the process.
So, after a soft reset, it should take more time.
Did not have time to check that.

P.s.
My problem is: I keep loosing my ringtones now and then after synching with my PC's

Thanks, I will take a look at running apps and try and see what factors would cause delays like this.
I disabled the touch pro themed dial keypad using advanced configuration tool. The phone rang a bit more quickly using windows mobile default keypad.
Ok so I uninstalled CommPro and it seemed to be much quicker now. It get the ringtone after the second ring.
Thanx
Hi,
i got a HD2 which i also use in my car without hands-free kit. If there is an incoming call which i would like to answer i have to click to take the call, then slide down and click again to activate the speakers.
This is not very comfortable and there is a more or less time delay betwenn taking the call and actually hearing you opponent.
Is there any possibility to take a call with directly activating the speakers? Something like car-mode or a simple app that allows to take calls with activating the speakers.
Thanks in advance.
Yes, same problem for me.
Ok. Just found this in HTC Offcial Webpage.
"Switch between Speakerphone and earpiece during a call
Tap the Speaker icon on the Call Status screen, press and hold the Send Call button, or simply turn the device facedown"
Don't make phonecalls while your driving without handsfree-kit.
But if you do, read manual, the answere is in it.
In Vito Audio Notes Touch 1.03 Settings you can activate Speakerphone. But all incoming calls will open on speaker.
@ReneD70: Sure, you should avoid making phonecalls while driving but if there would be a way to answer calls with activated speakers this would be like a hands-free kit because there would be only one click on the phone.
I checked the manual but the only thing i found is how i can activate the speakers during a phone call like Quack2 allready posted. I didn't find something how about taking a call with speakers activated.
This cable will do what you want
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=638007
On top of all the other things this cable does, it also forces the call to be taken through the speakerphone on pickup

in and on the cooked roms if u answer the call and face the device on its face will auto activate the speaker with out the push of a button or slider
I love that you called the person ringing you your 'opponent'.
made me giggle
@ldx00: thanks for that link but this is not the best solution for me i think because i don't realy want to plug in a cable every time i enter the car.
@wingtytn: I don't have a cooked rom installed on my hd2. I got the original rom installed so i don't have this "feature". So this is not a solution for me too.
@madewokherd: Ok opponent may be not the best word for that
The best solution for me would be a second button to answer the call or a little app which causes the phone to activate the speakers when answering the call if this app is running. How can this be done? Would be great if someone could write such a hack or app.
automatic on speaker

with this app you can have a incomming call automatic on speaker, turn the app on iff you going to drive, turn it of if you dont go driving.
Thanks sitaniace for pointing this program out. Actually I found a newer version - 1.06 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369399
@mydom
I see, I always plug in in the car to keep the screen active, but if you don't, I see this is a problem. However, I also have a program called audioroute which I used to route the sound to the earpiece speaker when using skype (it defaults to external speaker). You can use the program to route all your sound to any output (earpiece, back speaker or headphones). If you search the forum you should be able to find it

This is my problem
say A calls me and I couldn't pick up so the phone rings then directs A to my voice mail
so then A calls me again
this time the led would flash, the screen would show that A is calling, but the ringer would not ring.
The ringer on my phone is always on the highest ringer and I tested it out and I am still getting the same results.
Does anyone else has the same issue??
That is what exactly happen to me, i don't have a voice box (since roger is expensive)
But i notice if i do miss the first call (being forward or not) the second call will never rings.
As long the second call is the same person as first call.
I think it is a call blocking system so you don't get rings everytime the same person multi-call you within a time frame
ii thanks I thought that I was the only one or something
yeh rogers is bloody expensive, also you any suggestions to fix this
and thanks
I suggest you make a super ringtone with max sound. So you don't miss the first call. Or
simply write a android program that calls you back on missing calls.

I got a loud ringtone
how do you do the android program
Is anyone else encountering low call volume with their galaxy watch 4 classic? I can barely hear the other person when taking calls. I am asking to determine if this is a software issue or a hardware problem that requires replacement.
i have the same problem with my Galaxy Watch 4 (44 mm), very low call volume.
yeah I find it pretty stupid that you can set a default volume for all sorts of stuff (system, bixby, ringtone, etc) but not for calls....
Rotate the bezel during the call! I'm have very loud ...
I noticed this low call volume on the watch 4 speaker also even when my watch call volume is turned up to maximum. Yes, I noticed that if I turn the volume dial down off of max and then turn it back up again during the call the speaker volume does come back louder. But I feel we shouldn't have to do that! It's a bug that should be fixed! I hope they fix this bug.
I am having the same problem. I noticed if I make an outgoing call the receive volume is OK. I call voicemail every morning but hope it get fixed soon.
