Email programme

Is there a email programme that I can add to my xdaii that is as easy to use as outlook express.
Thanks Glenn
There are a few, a search in Google and / or this forum for keywords will give you a good idea...
The only one I've really heard of that's any good is the one from the Pocket Informant guys, WebIS.
http://www.pocketinformant.com/products_info.php?p_id=mail&dir=wm
I don't use it myself as I hardly ever use my phone for emails, just txts and MMS. It's meant to be pretty good though.

iPhone and Exchange

they say its going to work, but you have to use IMAP...but does anyone know if IMAP supports PUSH mail, besides the crappy Yahoo Push mail they are offering. I mean, I can setup a mail forward to a yahoo account but I wouldn't want to send e-mail from there.
Any input would be appreciated because other than that I can't WAIT for this phone...looks so awesome.
being that it's imap, it won't support push, and there won't be much in the way of local storage outside headers. Then on top of that it won't work with calendars, contacts, etc in exchange, just the mail.
Probably the closest you'd get to push e-mail with the iPhone, being IMAP-supporting, would be IMAP Idle
mike, can't help but notice the typo in your post. It's iPood and iPhony.
mike has a point... this forum is for HTC devices... last time i checked HTC had no affiliation with apple's iCRAP .......

Exchange mail in HTML

i read through various parts in this forum that it usually the problem of the server that it it isnt sending things in HTML format to outlook mobile, i wasnt able to recieve Exchange mail in HTML on my touch pro, so i programmed the same exchange account on my wifes Iphone and to my amazment all the emails that came in were perfectly normal in HTML format,
so is there anyway to fix this issue and make the Touch pro capable of showing HTML mail comming from Exchange.
Best regards for the pros in this wonderfull forum
Kevin
i hope that anybody else is having the same problem as i really tried everything but nothing is working real weird, even though i tried to configure the exchange server sync to HTML but its not working either, as soon as it connect it gets back to plain text.
i really hope there is a solution for this with one of you great guys.
Best regards
kevin
Is the Exchange server running Exchange 2007 or 2003?
That's not a bug it's a "feature".
You either have to have an Exchange 2007 Server to display HTML mail or if you have an Exchange 2003 server you have to use POP3 to display HTML mail.
its a 2003 i think
but why is the iphone capable of showing the HTML email from the same exchange server.
that was basically my main question. if it is just some server feature, how can the iphone show the same messages in full HTML without a single problem
I think it is because Pocket Outlook leaves some HTML rendering up to the Exchange Server rather than do everything on the PPC. But that does not work on the Exchange 2003 Server only on Exchange 2007.
But if you communicate with your Exchange Server not via ActiveSync but via POP3 or IMAP HTML works. Because in this case Pocket Outlook is forced to do all the rendering by it self.
ok, now i understand the case, thanks boss,
i think this is the only superiority aspect for the iphone, ivebeen using it for a couple of days now atter jailbraking it, and im nto impressed, im actually much less than impressed, i miss my Rpahel. so much,
its really such a shame i cant h ave Pushmail and HTMl together, but well its a small sacrifice for a great device.
You're welcome! I'm glad I could help!

Email Questions

First - thanks to everyone at xda for all the tips and help - what a great site!
Now don't laugh when I say that I have a T-Mobile (Danger) Sidekick. I have been happy with it but I want to replace my SK and my Pocket PC with one device instead of two.
With my Sidekick, I got a separate [email protected] account. My email came through without me checking it and I could also receive and send from some other accounts (like my personal earthlink account) The email came through without me having to check for it. (I don't know of it was push or pull but it works quite well)
I am seriously considering getting a Fuze but have some questions about email:
1 - Does AT&T give you a separate email address?
2 - I have read that I can get my personal earthlink as well as gmail and yahoo mail on the Fuze but do I need to have AT&T's "express mail" to get it?
Thanks so much.
To my knowledge, at&t doesnt give you an email address. You could use gmail with the gmail app or through opera, but im not sure if theres an app that would work with the touchflo 3d tab. If you have a live account you can use windows live mail and that does work with the tf3D tab. Im not sure about earthlink or gmail though. Hope that helps.
att gives you an email address, but it's *your phone number*@att.mywireless.com or something like that.
you can also get a media net email address.
with the fuze, my yahoo mail is pushed to my phone at the sametime it appears in my web browser (if i am online at the time)
i also have active synch synch up to my corporate exchange server email using https
Thanks for the replies.
I don't have an AT&T account (yet) and I do not use Outlook for email so I am unfamiliar with both.
I still don't understand: what exactly does AT&T's "express mail" do? Will I need it in order to get my earthlink mail on a Fuze? I know I can check mail through the web browser but will the WM email client receive my earthlink email automatically or do I have to manually check for it?

Outlook replacement for Windows Mobile 6.5

I have searched and searched, but I cannot find a good alternative program to windows mobile's Outlook Email Client. For texting I am currently using SMS-Chat by Vito, and I was hoping there was a similar program somewhere out there that I could use for my email, but I can't find any email programs. Does anybody know of any that they can recommend. I hate the Outlook program, it runs so slow and takes forever to open and close.

Flexmail is imho, among the best ones. The downside is that it isn't free. Good luck!
