URGENT HELP REQUESTED - PASSWORD PROTECTION

I synchronised my XDA last night and it was fine. However, I need to re-synchronise it again today. It is password protected. I have switched on my XDA but am unable to use the screen at all. Each time I tap the screen to enter my password, nothing happens and I am unable to get into my XDA. Please can someone help. I have already done three soft resets with no luck.
Thank you.
If it was recently backed up do a hard reset and they just resynchronise your data

Forgot my Security Password Help Please ??
Hi I have forgotten my XDA 11s security password do you know of anyway I can get into my phone without resetting or loosing all the data ? Your help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers Tony
@ Tony - If a password was easy to break, there would not be much point to it. Do you not have a recent backup through activesync? or have you got active sync set to rember your password? (if so, copy the data you need off then do a hard reset)
XDA ii s Password
I have forgotten my XDA 11s security password (not the sim password) do you know of anyway I can get into my phone without resetting or loosing all the data ?
if I went through all the numbers to find the right combination for my password would my XDA eventually freeze or block my XDA permanently just like the banks (or the SIM) do with bank cards when you get your combination wrong 3 times??
Well, for a start, read my earlier post - it is ot worth having a pword if it is easy to break.
As for the lock after x attempts, it is likely to have this, but probably be 5, and MAY lock for 15 mins and then give you another attempt, then lock for even longer.
IF you want to do this and spend from now to infinity trying all of the possible 10,000 combinations, then go ahead.

Set Password for HARD RESET

Hi folks
Is there any app or way to assign password for hard reset.
I mean that, is there any software or registry edit that requests password when try to hard reset?????
For safety reasons.
thanks in advance.
I thought you needed to type in 1234 when you used clear storage. Pretty much all pda's have a way to hard reset with hardware buttons, anyway. Won't the code get wiped during the reset? I guess I don't get the point. If you're afraid of randomly losing data, backup frequently.
I would not suggest having a password, because sometimes your device can get stuck and you won't be able to type your password. It's happened to me a few times that I installed a program that caused my phone to stop responding to anything I pressed and all I could do was a hard reset.
The only reason i can see for having a pwd is to make the device totally useless to a thief. Trouble is by the time he discovers that even hard resetting requirers a pwd it's too late, you have already lost the device.
As for requiring one to actually hard reset to protect against accidentally doing it, personally i agree with the previous poster, not a wise thing as HR is a "get out of jail free" means of recovering an otherwise unuseable device. Been there and done that more than once.
So is there any way to do that????
i know the consequences of setting password while device dies but i need to answer some one and he doesn't care about this matter
so pls guide me if this possible
thank

I agree with Dee here (although your friend isnt interested) i ctually forgot my login pwd on my works comp after a weeks holiday, so for that reason its not a good idea
Gettin back OT, ive never seen or heard of this, although nothing is impossible, it will mean a serious reg hack. For that reason we'll leave this thread open and see if someone comes up with a solution

HTC added words disapearing after soft reset

Hello guys,
As everyone, my added words from xt9, disapear after a soft reset, wich is quite annonying.
I know it's a bug from HTC, but I wanted to know if somenone had a solution either for the words not disapear, either to make a simple backup and recover them automatically after soft reset?
Check here for possible solution
Thanks for the reply but those guys are talking from hard reset and several methods are using a soft reset (which, in my, and probably your case, clear all the added words).
My question was more clearly, does it happen to other users too? (Is it ROM dependant)
And does it exist a method or a cab (which will, for exemple, make a regular copy of the eXt9.exe and copy it again just after a soft reset)...

AFAIK, it is a common issue with WM6.5 as I have seen many threads regarding this issue.
I know of no automatic way to backup and restore the eXt9 files on soft reset, but whether a soft reset or hard reset, the manual results would be the same.
Sorry...
Found this, it may help, but still not automaitc
