Hardware keyboard remapping in Ubiquio 501

Hi,
Just wondering, is there anyway to remap characters on my Ubiquio 501 hardware keyboard. I need scandinavian characters ä and ö, and on-screen keyboard is not so comfortable to use...So far i have found, that character mappings _seems_ to be in tscscan.txt file under \windows directory. Problem is that file is readony and system-file, so it cannot be modified...So how i can modify this file? My Ubiquio has WM5.
Thanks.

Touch Keyboard + Keypad working for Kaiser

Enjoy!
Fixed to remove predictiveness when using the hardware keyboard.
it works good, but its a little bit laggy..
I really like the simple qwerty keyboard without XT9. How do I keep this one? When I select a text area, it defaults to the 20 key pad with T9 and I don't like it.
any screenshots?
Good stuff TLR - works very nicely on my device. Cheers
When i switch to german the keyboard and pad are not working. couldt somebody make this version to support german language
Works great but I noticed that when using the 20 key keyboard the keys don't light up.
figured out the problem. the files L20-map_down.png and P20-map_down.png included in the posted cab are corrupt that's why the keys don't light up when you select them. In order to fix this problem, you have to download the OEM version of the keyboard and replace the files I listed above with the one located in the OEM version. Copy the files to the \windows directory and overwrite the corrupt files.
when installed, i can not use predefined symbols (ď, ť, č, š, í, ...) on hardware kbd (fn + spacer). any solution for fix?
I have the same problem. Help

Changing keyboard layout

My TyTN II has a Norwegian layout with keys that are special for my language, but after I flashed to Sleuth, I can't seem to use these keys. In fact, most key combos that involve FN and some other key gives the wrong character.
Is there any way I can re-map my keys to the proper symbols?

With MagiKB Lite you can do it on the hardware keyboard - the key mapping is customizable - you could start with the att 8925 key map (download attachment below), and then modify the key combos that aren't right for your Norwegian layout.
I think this is what you need in the second post there is a link for a Norwegian keyboard layout cab file.

Thank you. It works like a charm. How about the on-screen keyboard and the handwriting recognition?
I use cooteks Touchpal keyboard I love it I can type faster on it than I can with the hardware keyboard.

I dont know much about handwriting recognition software.

thx for the map for Kaiser devices. Just for reference I attach my Wizar (Qtek 9100, etc) WWE qwerty keyboard layout map for MagiKB...in case this could help someone...
I mapped the win key to context menu, double click for windows menu. this way, copy paste from keyboard is easier.

start button

is it possible to change the path of start button on sense.I've got tir27 rom.I'm sorry for my english
Change what it activates?
you exactly, the topaz has already the key hardwere that does the same function
You can remapp the hardware key using Topaz Keyboard Controller, but the softkey is not mappable AFAIK.
as suspected
Try xTask (you can find it in the apps section here, just do a quick search).
It's a lightweight taskmanager that offers the ability to remap the soft start button.
Thanks, very good tip, but I preferred to wktask
I use ameba and it works very well
