No Audio at all on Wizard with old Faria WM6 build - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario ROM Development

I put the old Faria WM6 build that came out eon's ago on the forum. It's been working great for the past couple months and I really just don't feel like flashing up to a new version yet. However, the audio has suddenly stopped working altogether. It was right after I pulled the 2.5mm plug out of the headphones port when I had it plugged into my truck radio.
I know I remember reading when that ROM came out that there was an issue like that and there was a registry fix for it, but I can't for the life of me find it on the forum. Any kind souls remember the solution?

Motorola HT820...... settings

I have the HT820s, but they are not working so great at the moment.
They have worked exactly twice so far, and the settings and ROM were different both times yet the same settings also don`t work most of the time.
I was wondering if you also owned these headphones, if you could list your ROM and config settings.
There seems to be no ryhme or reason to wether or not they work, i have looked on all the threads for all the different ROMs and and there dosen`t seem to be any pattern at all to it.
mine are as follows
Bitpool = 58
Maxbitpool = 128
These are the settings i had when i had some small success, and no success at all......

Hi m8,
I have the same Moto HT 820 and to say they're temperamental would be an understatement......... there are quite a few of us here with the same headset and once you get them working they're great!
I've been using them all day today at the office without a single skip, pause or lockup. Reconnecting to the Uni works fine too.
No more issues with my Moto!
Unfortunately for you I'm using my latest build, due for release on the 1st Novemeber!
The problem is not the reg settings it's the stack on the Uni itself.
Only two more weeks and the Rom will be out.
Cheers,
Beasty

No need to picture it, I was doing it myself for a whole week!
(although for the humour facrtor and some comic relief you could upload a few pics for us all)
Not long to go though.................
Could you tell me the firmware revision of your headset.........it's inside the headband.......... mine is SYN0948D.
Cheers,
Beasty
I have the same headset, they work a treat.
After pairing the headset it started working perfectly.

Hi Beasty,
I was ready to put some pics of my bald head, but was advised to wait until at least some grows back!
One of the HT820 I own is : SYN0948A.
The second HT820 is all smudged up and your guess is as good as mine.
As I have mentioned to you earlier, since they are not genuine therefore I cannot flash the ROM for the upgrade!
Thanks,
KOR!
SYN0948E for me, i looked thru the threads and i don`t think mine can be updated......

Hi,
If I recall the procedure correctly from memory, you should power off the headphones, connect to your pc with the USB cable, hold down both track control buttons, and power the device on.
If the bluetooth leds stay on I believe that means the device is in flash mode......... I also believe that what I read on the forums, is that the "hookie" headsets do not support this mode at all.
Davieshyland, where did you purchase your headset from?
Cheers,
Beasty
Powered off, connected usb and then pressed both track buttons....... both LEDs started to flash at 1 second intervals. Which i believe is the correct way. I already looked into flashing/updating the firmware for the headphones, tought maybe this could solve my problems, but i think its only the A,B and Cs that can be updated.
I got them from ebay, but not a seller in Hongkong, it was some bloke in Manchester, England
Switched to JWrights 20202, someone said that was the best ROM for BT sound....
Had the same problem..... no sound after 1 second.
But..... while reading thru the 500+ posts i came across a two line post saying, in affect, 1st, pair your headphones, then turn your headphones off, then back on, wait for uni to find them automatically, and you should now have no problems.
This actually worked for me with this ROM, i am going to upgrade to his latest ROM tonight. Its now nearly 5 in the morning (AM ) i`m only up because of a Diabetic low (time for a cookie and a quick post) and now i`m going back to bed.

Problems with BT performace. Is there a fix?

My brother just got a Tilt and he's having problems with his BT. He says, he can't even walk 5ft away from the headset without hearing static and interfereance. He believes it's a problem with the BT stack. Can this be replaced or modified for better performace?
BTW, I think he's using Dutty's 2nd to last touch ROM with radio 1.27.14.09
having the same problems with 2 tilts. Just got another phone and the same issues keep popping up. I cannot even use the BT with the phone on my hip! A butload of crackling, and interference. Makes any use of BT pointless, as it has more or less become line of sight use only (like IR).
This is my first post on here, but have been lurking for a little while. I have yet to do any mods to either phone (and gave the 1st one back), as I was hesitant to tweak a locked ATT phone, until I knew it didn't have any bugs.
I have to wonder if it has anything to do with ATT's bloatware, as every single HTC I've ever had, seems to have perfect BT reception, all the way out to the max range of BT. (35+ Ft)
forgot to mention, after testing various BT devices, and identical headsets, I can comfortably say that it MUST be a tilt specific issue. Maybe there's an HTC patch for it...... I will look around.
My BT on the HTC WWE rom is the same, in my car it takes about 2-3 sec.s to connect to the builtin bluetoothunit when some calls me up?
The phone and car are paired and everything - I have have never used a HTC branded WM smartphonephone/PDA with such a bad BT Stack.

Audio Issue

Hi there everybody,
First of all, I'd just like to point out that I'm new to this forum, a friend of mine referred me to here.
I have a Tornado SPV C600, which as of today, is running WM6 Platinum Edition 5.2.1711.18165.0.5.0 SP1 by NiTroGen.
On with the problem, a couple of weeks ago my ipod died. Again.... So this time I decided to put some music on my C600. 3 days later, the headphone jack got pulled out of the socket when I put the phone back into my pocket after choosing a track. Since then, whenever somebody has called me, or I've called somebody, no sound comes out of the earpiece on the phone itself. The only way I can hear what's going on is by plugging the handsfree headset back into the bottom.
The same issue occurs when using HTC Audio Manager/WMP to play music through the phone's speaker....I have to use the headphones again.
However, the phone does seem to be playing small sounds like the annoying jingle when I receive a text. Which leads me to believe that it is a software issue rather than a hardware issue.
Has anybody ever had this problem? Could anyone point me in a direction?
Thanks,
Bassmad
You've damaged the jack. Probably the solder points where the jack connects to the board, or possibly the spring-like part inside the jack which acts like a switch.
Go to the Modaco forums for disassembly instructions and follow the guide to open yours. Take a good look at the jack; if it's loose, see if you know anyone good enough to resolder it for you.
i have same problem before 2 week and i try plugin hardly my earphone several time.and solved it

You probably loosened the stuck springy part or pushed the part back into the board.

Low Sound

Good Day,
I just got the ATT HTC Fuze. I did a ROM upgrade to the new HTC Fuze ROM Update- Version 5.11.502.2 WWE from the HTC website.
Since doing the update i have very low sound on the device. Once in awhile i will hear it loud like it was before i did the update. But otherwise it is really low.
I tried the AudioPara3.csv file but that didnt work as well as some other things i found on the site. Any help would be appreciated.
AudioPara3.csv has worked fine for me. Try it by installing this cab.
Tried it, no luck. I am wondering if it is a hardware problem i have. Cause it worked for about 30 seconds this morning and then it changed back to this low sound. I havent installed any apps yet so its basically clean.
check for shredded cheese in the speaker slit thing. that was my problem.

Bluetooth Issue with 2009 GM vehicle

Both with WM6 and WM6.5 Stock ROM - when I pair with my new vehicle the TP2 completely locks up. Everything else that I pair with works fine. I am sure this is some stupid incompatibility issue.
Curious if there is another blue tooth app, like a CAB for example that I could try?
Any ideas?
I have no issues with a 2009 Malibu
No issues with stock rom or multiple flashed roms on 2010 terrain. Sorry man, that sucks.
i drive a 2009 cobalt ss turbo and had the same issues you are talking about. for the first couple months i had no problems then it started locking up only when the car and phone were paired. as soon as i shut off power to the car the phone would work fine again.
i ordered a replacement phone through verizon and so far my new tp2 hasen't had any issues.
Ok so my phone is now messing up again just like the OP describes. No idea what the issue is.
Try a hard reset, and dont install any customization, and try the bluetooth!
Or even better...buy a ford... lol
