Need original O2 XDA mini 1.03 ROM

Regretfully I can not download from their webiste since my registered XDA mini is too new and I can therefore not download something I (in their eyes) already have.
Since I have tried the QTEK 1.06 upgrade I am contemplating to downgrade to the original O2 1.03 EXT ROM.
Any pointers where to fin dthe XDA Mini EXT ROM would would be appreciated.

Do you mean that you want an O2 mini rom with traditional chinese ? If yes, you can get it at ftp://xda:[email protected]/Magician/Chinese/o2miniHKCHT.zip

just delete the radio.nbf and the ms.nbf files to only update the extended rom.

Thanks, but in order to download I have to login or register. If I login with my current account, the IMEI code of my registered XDA mini results in O2 saying that I already have the latest ROM - so I can not download it.
If I try to create another account, it is asking me for an IMEI number or else I can not register. If I put in my IMEI number, it will again say that I already have te latest ROM and not allow me to access your link.
If you can access it, could you download it and post it on the FTP here?
I have checked the FTP but there is only the Chinese version...
Any help would be appreciated at this point!

Would it be of interest if I'd upld a copy of what I believe to be a 'generic' (I don't find any reference to any brand or model) WM2005 upgrade file?
I can't afford loosing/ruining my Qtek, but if anyone is willing to try...

ftp has a username of "XDA" and password of "XDA", if you still have problems i'll upload the file to when i finished downloading it..
UPDATE: as i have guessed, it's a HIMALAYAN rom uploaded to a warez site :roll: , not a generic one

I wouldn't have thought a 'generic' WM2005 upgrade could exist. The problem with getting WM2005 onto the Magician is to do with the drivers for all the hardware on the Magician, not the actual WM2005 binaries. It won't work, don't believe the hype.

elyl is absolutely right.
So if you are so desperate to get WM2005 on your Magician, why not selling it and getting a HTC Charmer instead?

The archive contains the file: HimaUpgradeUT.exe so the update is for Himalaya devices only.

Yes, you are wrong.
There is no such thing as a "generic" Windows Mobile 5. Each PDA has it's own specific build of Windows Mobile because all of the device drivers are embedded. It's kind of like having the BIOS and OS combined.
The reason there are some unofficial builds out there is because MS have built them specifically for testing purposes so that they could write and test some applications before WM5 actually came out. As far as we know, this never happened on the Magician.

The HTC Charmer should be available very soon as T-Mobile MDA Compact II. See your local dealer.

Thanks for your reply, but, i know, and i have searched for the GER ROM x times, found the FTP link ........but i can find nothing, especially, i am despondent that on the FTP site there is not a ROM which call O2 xdamini GER shiped rom existing.......the other way round, there are many Ger ROM on the FTP, but they are all T-Moblie GER ROM or other, not O2 xdamini GER_shipped ROM!

I have just made a backup of the german O2 ROM of my Xda mini (brand new, bought at the beginning of the month).
It's a 128 mb .nb1 file because I used a 128Mb SD card.
If someone can explain me how to put if on the ftp, I could help you.

I also would urgently need this O2 ROM Version (which i cannot find through all the WEB)
as a completely beginner (and fool as i know now), i Updated my ROM to the T-Mobile one (MDA) , without making a Backup first...
Thank God, it worked out fine, but I am missing some of the O2 functionalities and I did not notice any remarkable improvements...
I do not know, how to ftp Upload - have you done it in the meantime? PErhaps you can send it to me in an other way?

It's in the upload folder now, under sub-folder magician... Grab it while it's there... It is known that people will delete folders and files for some cheap thrill...

Did you try the file in the \Uploads\Magician folder??
That was the re-uploaded one... Try that... I have deleted the file in the main upload folder as that one is not complete...

I had tried it... but the file size is only 7632kb is not complete

Okie guys... I have just downloaded the zipped file at my office and I am able to extract the file and execute the file until the page where it say upgrade... blah... blah... blah...
So there's nothing wrong with it and it works 110%.
If you are still having problem, use a proper FTP client like Filezilla and not IE. Besides, Filezilla's free.
P.S. I have also updated the Wiki as pointed out by Chatty. Thanks Chatty!!

I was wondering what this Asia ROM is all about. Is this the same Asia ROM that was posted last year with the 1.11WWE version? Or is this newer?

The core version is not latest , only 19214(AKU 1.0.4)

Where were you man? searching for you, you are one of the key members here, what about your new invention, i mean any new update on VOX ROM?

how can we extract this rom?

the first two links seem to be holding the new ROM however with an sbf extension. I am wondering what kind of RUU will open it. Also, seems that these ROM are encrypted. Technically, one should not care about decrypting the rom if he plans to just apply it. So back to square 1: What kind of RUUxxxx.exe file reads SBF rom images?
By the way, the third link is irrelevant, it will only allow you to download an official updated from motorola which so far (after trial of course) doesnt upgrade your mobile yet.

What missing things so far got resolved by using files from Q9h ROM like:
Storage Card Encryption? any other issue currently running with all cooked 6.1 ROMs here.

what people want is

Storage card encryption still doesn't work. I think we need a genuine 6.1 vox xip for this...
I'm also playing with SYS 19700 it's so much faster when I scroll, pocket ie is actually almost usable
But the fonts look ugly and I forgot to put in t9. maybe that's why it scrolls so fast.. We'll see..
