Windows Mobile Device Center & Bluetooth

I was wondering if anyone has managed to get this working. I have a TyTn and am using a kensington dongle with the latest widcomm drivers. But to get my computer to pair with my phone WITH activesync as a feature is nearly impossible and there is no way to connect with WDMC, through USB it works fine.
Any help would be appreciated

Bluetooth connection through activesync

Hi guys,I have a problem with my vox..I have a notebook with windows xp and activesync 4.5..I connect it to my phone easily using usb cable (also internet connection works),but there is no way to connect it through BT.I tried to add a new COM port by the phone port but i failed..Could somebody help me to fix this problem?Thank you very much,regards..
old active sync for Windows XP does not include BT connection for sync. Use Windows Vista where you can sync your device via BT. That is the only way how to use BT for sync.
bluetooth and active sync work perfect with xp, try to use generic microsoft driver for bluetooth

I don't know..Maybe is my BT software because I add for example COM port 6 on my pc and assign Active sync to it,click "allow connection to one of the following devices" COM6,Then from my phone :\activesync\connect via Bluetooth and it says cannot find an existing bt partnership with a pc that supports ActiveSync.Would you like to set a partnership now?
Any suggest?Thanks

Can I connect wirelessly to active sync?

Basicly what I want to do is to connect wirelessly to active sync using my TCP/IP connection!
Is that possible, and if so how?

Not an exact answer to your question, but you can connect via bluetooth, if your computer has it, or if you have a bluetooth dongle on you computer.

Yes, but then I dont get the speed and range of a wifi network
You can use Google sync. but its limited to contacts and calender.
http://www.google.com/mobile/winmo/sync.html
you can use soti pocket controller
the sync of activesync can't even keep up with the speed of usb so
even back in the old days when activesync did support wifi sync
it was not faster then usb sync
but the feature was removed because of security issues

Can't usb tether or use hotspot with my computer

Anyone else having this problem?
Please describe it better, then it will be easier to help you

Well, neither usb or hotspot internet sharing is working. My computer can detect the hotspot, but according to the diagnostics tool it doesn't have a valid IP adress. I used my old phone like this all the time, never had any problem.
Im sorry, Im not a tech-y guy, don't know what else I can tell you..
for allmost 2 weeks i've been using this feature without any problem, PC with 64bit win 10 pro, xz runs on android 6.0.1 39.0.A.250. Try to repair software with xperia companion, install all drivers etc. try it with other devices if it does not work it's probably something wrong with phone. In thetering settings there is a visibility setting set it to visible to other devices ( for wireless connection). via usb did you tried with other usb ports in your pc/laptop? have you installed some programms like hamachi etc. they can sometimes mess up some settings in a pc or a anti-virus/firewall is blocking it.

which version of Windows 10 do you install? 1511 or 1607
It won't work for version 1607 (14393) with Sony xperia XZ or X performance.
So, I re-install Windows 10 version 1511. (10586)
Right now im on 1607 14393.447and it works fine.
