I have just upgradet to wm6 NBD and all works just fine, except The danish hardware keyboard.
Yes... I have tryed all the reg tweaks, and a few patches too but none of the things work.
Is there A problem with the WM6 supporting Danish ÆØÅ?
I have also tryed other builds but without any result.

For all you Danish people trying to get the danish keyboard to work. Use the Norwegian kontrycode. 114 for the Reg edit not 406 !

Hello folks,
I have installed the HTC Touch Keyboard & Keypad (from Duttys CAB repository) on my Kaiser. It has the standard german HTC ROM. The device has not been flashed or otherwise modified.
However, I can not input anything with the Touch Keyboard or Keypad. They do not accept any input, not even the touch of the screen is registered. Nothing! The standard WM6 keyboard works just fine.
What could that be?
Could it be that the Touch Keyboard and -pad only work properly on English ROMs? I have a german ROM after all.
Any thoughts on this?
I noticed that this happens once I select a different language from English.
Probably the dictionaries are not available.
OK, can I somehow get the Touch keyboard to work? Can I disable the dictionaries somehow? I would really like to test the touch keyboard...
Or can someone provide a german CAB file?

Thanks, but unfortunately that does NOT describe the problem I have. The guy there can not change to any other 3rd party input methods. I can do this.
I can select the Touch KB and KP as default input method. I can also open it with no problem. I just can not input anything using the Touch Keyboard or Touch Keypad!
I suspect this is due to the ROM version. I have a german ROM, the Touch KB seems to be a english (?) version.
Does someone have a german version I could try?
Or other ideas? I am open for pretty much any advice!

I have set up two emulated WM6 Professional, one German, one English.
--> In the German ROM I experience the problems described above.
--> In the ENglish ROM everything works just fine. The Heyboard behaves as expected.
=====> Therefore, the HTC Touch Keyboard found in Duttys CAB repository does NOT work with non-english ROMs.
Can someone cook a CAB that works with german ROMS?

I encountered exactly the same problem on a HTC Kaiser with German ROM - inputs work fine while having selected english, while selection of german doesn't give any reaction at all while typing. Interestingly, number input DOES work even "in german", thus I also suppose it must have to do with the english CAB version.
Therefore I'd also be glad to see some solution to this problem.

I have "solved" the keyboard problem unconventionally: I have sold the Kaiser. Now I am waiting for a Touch Cruise from amazon.de

Nobody knows how to get keyboard shortcuts working on WM6?
On WM5 it works ok, after i install sym-patch software. tryed to use same software on WM6 Roms, but not working.
Tested many different roms.

Hi,
First I installed SkandinaviskTastatur5 and then I changed the registry like this:
1. HKCU >> ControlPanel >> Keybd
create string named Locale and put 4-digit code of your keyboard (my german wizard with WM6.0 WWE ROM uses 0407)
2. HKCU >> keyboard layout >> Preload >> 1 >> Default
change value of last 4 digits to your code (in my case, I changed e0010409 to e0010407)
3. HKCU >> keyboard layout >> Preload >> Default
change value of last 4 digits to your code (in my case, I changed e0010409 to e0010407)
4. exit registry editor and continue to operate your device for few minutes. After that, softreset. Caution: sometimes your wizard "forgets" to write modifications to your registry, so repeat this procedure 'till it works.
I wanted swedish keyboard so I change to 1414 for Norwegian because the Swedish code didn't work.
I now have a swedish keabord layout and it works with my Qtek 9100 keyboard too. Worked with all the WM6 roms I have tried.

Qtek 9100 is too slow for WM6 and i need to use Over clocking.

I really liked XDA Mobile 6 release 3 but it made my qtek a bit slow and I didn't want to use over clocking because it's a workpda
I then tried some other roms but now I'm back with the original rom for my qtek. Haven't found one that I really like yet.
But I love the HTC home plugin so I have that installed now with my WM5 and it works great
Still looking too I guess...

jep, it allmoust worked. had to use norwagian keyboard code. no swedish or finnish worked.
I have xda mobile 6 version and it works like a charn
no trying to find keyboard change to universal qtek 9000.
haven't found it yet!
do you have an idea where to look? tried everything allmoust.

I have installed WM6.1 (english), wich supports the qwerty keyboard (software) , but i have the qwertz keyboard (hardware).
i tried all methods to get this changed (registry, cabs and so on...) but nothing worked on wm 6.1 (changes in registry worked in wm 6.0)
can anybody help me please??? i'm searching since 1 week in the forum, but didn't find anything that helped me... perhaps i'm too dumb...

I've been trying out some new ROMs for my Touch HD. Basicly I wanted to get rid of my Dutch language ROM, because I prefer English based OS'.
I tried several new ROMs, both Topaz & Rhodium versions (which are Manilla 3 I believe?).
Anyway, the ROMs themselves seem to work fine, but I'm missing 1 big thing in the WWE version: Dutch Word completion (and possibly Dutch T9, but that's less important).
I've tried several cabs, but none seem to work for me. The best I got was 1 that did add more Languages to the menu, but none actually worked, and this also broke my English Word completion
So, can anybody point me to a cab that makes Dutch Word Completion possible in WWE English?

i tryed to change in windows directory with total command but it dosn´t work..
Registry
You just need to change language keyboard layout in the registry.
change the registry value of HKLM>HARDWARE>DEVICEMAP>KEYBD>CurLang to 1044. Reboot then it´s fixed.
Try abusalza's [PDACorner] Ultimate-X2.V11 -23017|M2D|MOTO Home|CHome|Enhanced Version.
Just make sure you flash a stock WM6 rom first.
Swedish T9 soft keyboard etc is included in the ROM but you still have to fix the hardware keyboard. To do this I use a program called "Scandinavian KB".

I forgot to mention that you should set Scandinavian KB to Norwegian/Danish, not Swedish. I know this sounds backwards but I remember reading it somewhere* and have done so ever since. It works for me at least!
*Found the post. It's originally a guide for Touch Pro aka Raphael, which I had for a short period of time, but point 4 apply for the Kaiser as well.
