Dead SPV M600 / Charger Shorting question - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 Software Upgrading

Hello all, your forum is very useful and full of dedicated people.
I am sorry if my question is redundant, I know there has been threads about this topic already (like here) but I can't get the things described to work for me so my last resort is to start a thread of my own. Plus I think it might help others trying to get their M600/Prophet back on tracks.
Here is what happened with mine : an flash went wrong (error on the computer, stuck at 80% for a long long time (i mean long, not the usual few minutes we all know of)). So I had to unplug the whole thing and reset it. It went into the bootloader (3 colors screen) ok after the reset with USB written in the bottom left corner when plugged in. But (for no real l reason) I tried to reforce it in bootloader mode with Camera + Reset and from this point on, it never booted again, never reacted to any manpipulation (Power + Reset, Power long, Camera + Reset), it doesnt even has the LED on when the wall charger is plugged in.
I searched the forum and found links like the one reported earlier in this post or this one here
So I tried those but can't get it to work cus I don't really think i understand what to do :
Here is what i did :
I plugged the cut wall charger that now looks like this :
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
and this :
now when it's said to connect the charger direcly to the pins are we talking about those pins ? and if yes, which one are the 1 and 5 ? the red ones or the green ones ? I know the white wire (+) has to go on the 1st pin but I dont know which one is the 1st.
plus, do i have to connect the wires to those pins while the battery is also plugged in or when the battery is out ? Or even with another charger plugged in?
Once the manipulation is done, do I put the batter back in and it should start ok directly in bootloader mode ? Or do i need to plug it back into the wall so that it does.
Anyways, as you can see that shorting manipulation is really unclear to me and I did not manage to make it work.
If anyone could shed some light on this one, that would really help me out and I am sure it would help others as well.
Thx in advance for your answers.

Follow the directions in the OneClick NvFlash CWM Recovery thread.. (the initial post). You should be good to go. It's in the development section.
i followed this thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1054492
specifically the part that says
How to revert back to stock recovery:
and i used the img5 file
like i said im new to this ive had a blackberry before this is all new to me
so was i right in the other thread and you have a factory fresh unrooted phone? thats an important detail
well i un-roothed it at one point ....
i believe i tried the factory reset when it was rooted, did i brick my phone?
this is what i did so far its at the SW upgrade with the yellow arrows part
what should i do now?

after you put the battery in, you should have just rebooted/powered up the phone. who told you to hold up and power? img5 was sent successfully. you have stock recovery. vol.down and power will now do a factory rest. what color is the text that say's reset all to factory? i think you're still in clockwork recovery even though it said img5 sent successfully. that would be odd though. unless your vol.up and power messed something up.
and....have you even flashed a custom recovery? why are you going back to stock recovery if not?
i guess ive been trying everything i find hoping that something works
ive got it to go back to stock and it seems as if the market is just not showing up
oh and you got a pm good sir....
fixed thanks to crazythunder !
way to go now whats next?
well ive beEn having fun with my phone
it doesn't die nearly as fast as before.... the gps works from time to time and it only restarts on its own 5-10 times a day unlike every 15 min when i first got it
now i get a really aggravating problem if i get a text message it re appears sometimes 20+ TIMES
what causes this ?
Its like it never stops with this dam phone!
for the last few days when I open the email program it takes a second to load then they are deleted a split second after they open. Gggggrrrrrrr
And it.comtinues today I get woken up with an alarm and a frozen phone. I had to pull the case apart and pull the battery out to stop the alarm

Why is that?
It is the answer, instead of wasting 10 minutes with your fix someone can simply restart the PC in about 3 minutes total.
A restart is recheck the cable is the solution....

plz help me i think i have bricked my phone...
try doing hard reset. If you cant go to recovery mode, open your cover, between the camera and speaker there is tiny hole. Use pointed object to push this while doing download mode combo. You probably need an assistance of a brother or sister lol. Then in recovery mode, Try if your pc can detect your phone again. Then try flashing stock firmware.
that's what i'm trying to do... and something to know there is no button there... that's where the plastic was poured through tiny holes in the mold cavity that made the chassis... if you don't believe me there is another one right beneath the battery...

Lol, are you sure you have the standard international version of i9003?
There would be a small pin hole sort of thing between the camera and the speaker after opening the back flap.
You need to goto the download mode by using a pin. Press the pub hole with a sharp object(not too sharp). Then press the volume down key, then home button. Holding these all, then press the power key for about 4 seconds. You'd see the Samsung boot animation. At this point leave the power key, keep holding other buttons until you see the download mode.
Then connect to a PC to see if it's connected in com port
Press thanks if helped

[Q] HTC Sensation XE - power button failure

Hi guys,
Wondering if you can help re the following problem.
By accident, I managed to tear the power button strip on my phone (i.e. not the silver button, but the part that must be depressed). The phone is elsewise in perfect working condition.
I need to turn this particular phone on, as there is some important information on it that I need to access.
Any ideas how I can turn it on, or access the data therein?
Would appreciate any help - thanks in advance
Terry
The power button just completes an electrical circuit. That's all any power button on anything does.
Stuck in that black tape that's covering the button that you ripped are 2 tiny little wires. If you can connect those two wires even for a half a second, the circuit will be completed and the phone will power on.
I had to do the same thing on my MyTouch4G because I made the same mistake. It is not easy to do this. I had to use a VERY sharp knife (I used a surgical scalpel) to slice the surface off the black tape to expose the wires. Then I shorted them with a small peice of metal. It took about an hour to get it right.
Alternatively, if this critical information that you need is saved on the SD card....pull it out and use a card reader to view it on your computer.
Not sure if this will work for you but there is a app called tap tap app that allows you to turn On the phone without using the power button. I believe you can find it on the play store. It's supposed to be a button saver application
I've never tired it personally but I believe it's created to not use buttons to power on phone. I've came across it in the play store. Don't know much more about it but it might be worth checking out if you can get your phone powered on. Hope this helps. Best wishes and good luck.

Hi.
Sorry for my pure english and late answer.

After searching for solution on google I have not found anything helpful.
So I got multimeter and started to check all open contacts near the button.

I know I know Necromancy is a forbidden art form but right now you know how happy I am I just had to delve into it.
This is the best solution I have ever seen and thank-you so much for your time in figuring out how to do this, you have no idea how I felt when I felt that little buzz on my phone when I did this wire trick, I literally jumped a little with excitement, then the second time I did it I jumped with excitement more.
The thing I did though was there was a little rectangle in the plastic casing above where the dot is, I cut from one corner to the other side of a piece of plastic that was holding down the power button and from the other corner straight down, if that makes sense good, if not I have attached a picture, it is not very clear sorry but it is the best I can do because I have no camera other then my phone at the moment.
The red is where I was going to cut, the blue was a necessary cut because that small bit was to weak to stay on there and not get bent off by accident, this gives clear access to the small point to do this work around. Now if I need to revive my phone because of a dead battery or if anything happened to it I have a way to do it I have a wire in the back of the phone with the battery so I can just remove the back and use the wire. Also I installed sweep2wake, a necessary evil IMO.
P.S. I am going to leave this thread alone after this, I am just trying to get a solution more visible instead of making another thread just stating what this one has said, totally a huge thanks for Sidden, I was going to be stuck with a small samsung brick phone that only did SMS and took calls, you have made my day that much greater kind sir

[Q] How to contact Samsung

I've wasted an hour at the Samsung website. When the chat turned out to be broken the send button didn't,t work, I tried email. After answering all the same questions, model etc, the drop down for model wouldn't work. It's a required field so again, i'm stuck. Does anyone know how to reach them?
i received a galaxy note 10.1 16 gig wi-fi only for Christmas. it was terrific until yesterday morning. I took it from my padded brief case, pressed the start button and nothing happpened. I assumed I'd left it on overnight and rrun the battery down. I just put it away until i went home to charge it. I left it on the charger for a couple of hours. When i again pressed the start buttton, still nothiing. What do i do next?
Try leaving it charging for 6+ hours. Make sure it's plugged in all the way on both ends of the usb cable.

I found 1-800-SAMSUNG somewhere. It's seven digits I thought so, what the heck. Well a very nice woman talked me through all the trouble shooting steps I'd already tried. But, then she gave me an RMA and emailed me a shipping label. So far so good then. More to follow.
Before you write it off as dead, may I make a suggestion. Keep a finger on the touch screen while pessing the power button. This solution works for me when I've experienced the "sleep of death" after upgrading my GN 8013 to JB. Holding down the power button on mine didn't do anything. I found the solution I mentioned when I began googling in a panic. After removing one offending app, this awful sleep mode that resembles a dead device hasn't occurred again. Maybe you have an app that's triggered this. Good luck.

It was Sipdroid. (Knock on wood) deleting it has stopped my note from going into the sleep of death. Fortunately, the voip app csipsimple is very stable on JB 4.1.2 and has no audio or registreation issues so I've still got voip on my note.
