Cannot Execute ... - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario ROM Development

I am having trouble with my ROM all of a sudden. I don't remember seeing this kind of error message before. I did a clean hard reset of Faria's Pro Kitchen ROM on my MDA and installed some programs. Then one day, I got the message "Cannot execute \Windows\PocketNotify.exe" and more for calnot.exe and other programs. This message pops up random and to fix it, I reset it. But what is this message really saying and why does it come on random? How can I stop it? I have searched the forum but did not see this situation. Someone else might be having something similar so I decided to post.

i had the same problem...i ended up switching roms though. it did occur in another rom and i found that it was due to duplicate entries in the notification database. i use anton tomov's pocket mechanic to scan for duplicate entries and delete them. i haven't had the error since.

cannot find calnot

I flashed my device a few days ago, and installed all my apps... everything worked fine except for one thing.
Every morning my device has 2 or 3 error messages stating "cannot find calnot.exe" and an application i use resets my today theme.
This morning I had my normal error messages, and "cannot find repllog.exe"
After this happens my device runs slow as hell even with 25 mb ram available (It might be a CPU Utilization issue but I dont have any apps to track that)
After a soft reset, everything looks OK, but changing my theme every day is starting to annoy the crap out of me, and the error messages are conserning me... any suggestions?

Click to collapse
Repllog.exe has something to do with Active Sync...
you might want to use the search function, I found this by searching
Also did you remove anything from startup folder, or mess with the extended ROM these could be causing that problem, I would suggest reading the thread belonging to the ROM you flashed.
I didnt remove anything from startup, and the only thing I did with my ext rom was unlock it so it showed up (Whcih doesnt do much because I cant read it anyways) and thats one of the first few things I do so I know it was OK for the first few days like that.
I am currently using Xplore 1.1, I searched the forum, and I found a few small things like duplicates (whcih I searched for using memmaid) but nothing that I felt would rectify the problem
Ah, Well, you've at least described having a corrupted extended rom. (Since you don't see anything in there.) I would suggest fixing that with a downgrade to a stock rom and then reflashing your rom of choice. Then leave the extended rom alone. Hope that sorts out your problem.

MMS "Out of Memory"

I've tried looking for a solution to this and I'm stumped. I'm using Dutty's v3 and whenever I try to send an MMS, either a pic or vid, I get an error message that says "Could not perform operation. Out of Memory". Anyone know a fix for this, like a cab that was maybe created cause I've been looking all morning to no avail.
Frustrated,
-fin
I've seen several threads about Dutty's ROM's and issues with MMS. Is the palm threaded app installed on this particular ROM?
Try this:

Yes, it is. I installed it right after flashing and I've never encountered a problem like this with any ROM in the past and this app.
EDIT: I've already followed those steps. Still shows me an error, but, now I have 2 MMS choices in my mail.

Outlook Mobile will not load, no access to messages

I have an O2 XDA Exec running one of the old Crossbow ROMs (one of those where it's "Outlook Mobile" instead of "Messaging", I forget exactly which ROM it is I went for at the time). One thing I quite enjoy is that even after switching devices and upgrading the ROM is still having every SMS I've sent or received since summer 2006. This might all end here, sadly, as Outlook Mobile won't load and neither of the SMS backup programs I've tried have worked.
Here are the symptoms:
When I try and load Outlook Mobile (regardless of whether it's from the Start menu, HTC home screen, the messaging part of the today screen or the text option in Contacts) it simply does nothing.
I have tried two SMS backup programs. The EasyHelper "Contact + SMS Backup" which I normally use flashes up an error saying "Read SMS failed. Please restart device and try again. If the problem still exists, please contact your vendor.(401)" The other one (which I forget the name of now) failed to show a list of folders to backup from and if I ignore that option and try to back up anyway it sits for a while trying and then gives up (it says it's finished but it lies, the resulting file is way too small).
Don't know if this is related but the problem started around the same time. After having my device switched on for a minute or so a message will appear saying "Voice Command has encountered a problem. Restart Voice Command and try again." I don't use Voice Command so this isn't the problem but this error started showing around the same time this started.
When someone sends me an SMS nothing happens.
Don't know if this is normal or not, I get an access denied error when I try and do *anything* with cemail.vol (copy, rename, whatever)
Everything else seems to work fine (except ActiveSync but I can't remember the last time I had that working anyway, I don't use it).
I have tried:
Many soft resets.
Killing poutlook.exe and removing from the Today screen anything that might interact with the messaging.
Launching Outlook Mobile in different ways.
Two SMS backup programs.
Sending myself an SMS from a different phone.
Nothing works and I can't access my messages. Obviously as someone who's been keeping messages for about two years now (crossed the 10,000 mark I think) I'm slightly annoyed about this. I'm planning to reflash my phone to a newer WM6 ROM as soon as I'm not using it as my sole method for Internet access so my only concern here is saving my mass of text messages (either in a format I can read on my PC or a format I can restore from after reflashing my Universal).
If only I'd known before tonight that there was a free program to backup SMS on a schedule...
Any ideas at all? I'm comfortable doing registry hacks or typing commands or whatever needs doing. My messages are on this device somewhere and I want them. There's important nostalgia in there. Help greatly appreciated as ever.
Huh. It works now. No idea why, just got a text message today having not tried it for a couple of days and it seems okay. Frantically taking backups now.
Something on my SD card was messing it up, not sure what but removing the SD card allowed me to back up my messages. I removed the SD card, allowed it to create a "Storage Card" folder when it fails to save something to the SD card (it does this) and then reinserted the SD card and had the backup software back up to "/Storage Card2".
Weird. But I've solved the problem (in my case) and made a note of it on the offchance it might help someone coming in from Google someday.
ROM flashing time!
Thank youu!
Thank you very much... I had the same problem, but noticed it only yesterday!
Apparently I have been receiving sms messages since 3 or 4 days, but it shows nothing on my today screen. Yesterday I tried to open outlook because a friend told me he sent me a message, but... nothing!!!
When I removed the SD card it worked
But no messages since 3 or 4 days! and thus can't know who sent me messages
Anyway, thank you for your thread... and yes, I came from Google
sorry to bump an old thread, but this exact problem happened to me out of nowhere today. google searched it and this thread came up. i noticed i hadn't received even spam in my email to day and that error popped up about voice command. removed my sd card and it all went away.... very strange.
i have not installed any new programs either...

cprog.exe. error message

I have been getting the error message cprog.exe message latey. it has probably happened 3 or 4 times in the last few days. First off what does this error message mean and is this something big or just a minor wm bug? do i need to exchage my fuze? any help with this issue would help me out a lot.
I had the same after installing a piece of software - unfortunately, cant remember which one it was.
try un-installing recently installed software.
or hard reset will fix it

Messaging error

Hi, after the devicestart I get the following message:
Code:
Message undeliverable. You
must first subscribe to the
text messaging feature through your
service provider.
Official is it a MDA Vario IV but I use ROMeOS 1.90.2 and also a newer Radio Rom.
The error starts a few days ago without any changes. SMS, MMS, Email still works. When I check the message the inbox open.
I haven't got a clue!
Did you ever find a solution to this problem? This issue just started on my phone a few days ago, after I returned to the USA.
No! I did a Hardreset.
Did the hardreset solve the problem? If so maybe there is a registry setting corrupted. Apparently this is a well documented issue as I've seen posts on other device sections on XDA. Most responded that the issue seems to be on the T-Mobile network. I'm on also, so I bet it is their problem somehow.
I just loaded the latest official HTC ROM and Radio, bewfore this issue arose. That was a ***** to reload and re-tweak everything, so a hard reset is out of the question. Weird thing is I can send to most numbers I have tried. I tried several test text messages and there is only one number, giving this error message so far, but I am guessing there will be others.
The hardreset fix it but I can't tell you more about that. Meanwhile I have the MDA Vario V. I asked the t-mobile hotline but they couldn't help me.
I've found a lot of posts about this problem. it seems to cover a wide range of devices from Touch Pro, to Treo to Vario. I would guess that it is not device related. Most of the devices effected seem to be running on the T-Mobile network, but not all.
Anyway, if anyone isolates this bug to a registry entry, please post.
Have a great Thanksgiving.
