Doesn't work for me. HTC Streaming Media 2.10 comes up and fails to find network.
-Jeff

same here, failed to find network on T-Mobile USA BB plan. Works on my home network though.

i can go to this page, but once I click on watch video nothing happens.

Same thing here using NBD7.2, fails to connect to network..

damn you guys give up easily I was using the Cingular 8125 stock ROM and I tried it, and when I clicked to play the video it opened Windows Media Player and then said it couldn't open that video. So I decided yeah I guess I need TCPMP back again, but before I got around to it, I flashed XM6 ROM to my phone, and decided at work today to try m.youtube.com again and it worked just fine with Windows Media Player. I don't know what changed exactly but, hey ok It was neat, watched the Potter Pals one. haha.
I don't know about this fails to connect to network crap... maybe you should try following the links off of http://www.google.com/mobile and see if that helps.

hahaha,
my 9100 is recognized as an HTC P3300

YouTUBE on HTC S710

I know you have all been through this before but I need to know once and for all: Can I watch youTUBE or ANYtube videos on my phone?
My phone won't install Flash 7 and Flash Lite seems to not work either. I've tried HTC Streaming Media and that has not worked and CorePlayer will not install on my phone as well.
Am I forgetting to carry the one somewhere or is this a lost cause?
Kinoma freeplay can do this. The free version only shows 6 movies per hit but the full version you can watch everything on youtube

Hmph.
Let me try this one out. Thanks champ
Okay. I think we're going somewhere.
I got it and installed it and yet when I click on a video it gives me a 'Forbidden protocol 403' error.
Where to from here?
hmm thats strange, it worked fine for me on WIFI (gprs too, but very very slow!)
Do you have another app installed wich changes something with you internet connection?
Ummm.....what do you mean?
I'm not sure if this answers your question but I have a gang load of players installed: TCMP, YouTube Play (which also doesn't want to play), vTap, HTC Streaming, Kinoma.
I've been trying to solve this since Friday and to be honest, I see no reason that inspires me (more obsesses me) than pure 'I HAVE to win with this dammit!'
Some fools never learn it appears.
Oo!
Wait. Does it make a difference whether I install these programs on my device or MicroSD card?
I've installed them on the memory card because my phone *****es at me about memories.
On that subject, my OperaMobile also hangs on me. It seems this software doesn't like me. I think it's because I'm South African c",)
Try Skyfire, a browser with flash support. It'll play any flash content!
vtap
its surprising no one mention about vtap...its free and and no hassle..
www.vtap.com
I tried vTap and was unsuccessful with that one too

Youtube in metropcs with sprint phone

Does anyone know how to make youtube apps works on Metropcs

Thanks
Can you please be more specific and mention exactly what doesn't work, what ROM you're running, etc?

I think he wants a youtube app that works on metro pcs. I have a metro flashed sprint htc touch pro and the youtube app that came with it works fine. I able to watch youtube. Make sure your internet is working.
Coreplayer also has a youtube player that works as well.
It also makes easy for members to help you if you specify your phone and rom...by the way, I am using Rom SSK 1.7 (go to device info).
I am running mighty rom 11/25 on TP2.
My internet works fine, only youtube does not work. I can't get youtube from coreplayer nor the built in youtube app.
Do I need to change any proxy setting in windows registry for youtube in metropcs network?
When using the youtube app, I get "no videos found" error. However, the youtube app is working fine when I am connected via wifi.
I have verified that I get a decent data speed ~280 kbps.
Thanks
I am using Juicy R5 on metro, have sprint touch pro2.
i wasn't able to get the youtube player that came with the rom to work, however i do use an app called youtube play. that one worked fine.
i particularly like this one because it gives me the option to rotate screen either way on full screen, download videos and even convert them to mp3
Thank you. I will give it a try

It is working with this app. I also find out that I can use the old youtube app version 1.6.
For some reason the new youtube app 2.6 won't work on Metropcs network.

Sopcast & coreplayer

Hi, I'm sure most of you can tell what i am going to ask......
Is there anyway to use coreplayer to stream a video from sopcast, Or just make sopcast work on the HD2? I am in work tomorrow and I would like to watch the Liverpool vs Everton match on my mobile because we keep gettin bollocked by the boss for watchin them on the shop PCs.
Cheers for any help in advance!!
You can stream it from a computer to TCPMP but you can't watch a live Sopcast channel on a Windows Mobile device with any current software to my knowledge.
Besides, even if you could, you would need either wifi or a very fast 3G connection in your workplace.
I have WIFI, thats ok, I just looked at TVU player, that can apparently stream live sports to a winmo device but I cant fond a .cab version!

I'm sorry, i forgot to attach TCPMP. Install this app. (See my first reply, i attached it now). Start TVU mobile, choose you channel, press play and TCPMP will automaticly startup and load that channel.
I works nice, use Wifi obviously. I installed it on SD

Oh okay. That explains it. Thanks so much.
I guess CorePlayer is not supported then as mine did not load up. Still looking around for the SnapDragon version of this though. Hint.
Anyways.
Thanks again Redmen.

First i installed TVU Mobile (the one attached), then installed TCPMP (the one attached). Started TVU Mobile, clicked on a channel and pressed start. Then TVU Mobile starts buffering and automaticly starts TCPMP.
So nothing special. Maybe you can try to run TCPMP in the background while you start TVU Mobile. That could trigger TCPMP.
Is it possible you have Coreplayer as your default player? Could be a reason why it's not working for you.

Still not working. I uninstalled Coreplayer, then soft reset. I uninstalled TVU and TCPMP, then installed them again.
When I start TVU, select a chanel and press play nothing happens. (I am of course connected to wi-fi.) Can't see it starts buffering. I also have tried TCPMP running in the background... Nothing...
how to get the codec..because the codec in this phone not support to play the tv...

I noticed TVU was trying to start a player like TCPMP, so installed TCPMP(the one attached). Did a reset and now, after buffering, TCPMP starts with the chosen channel. Nothing special tbh.
At the 3th Screenshot, you'll see the screen is black. That's because of the Shake&Save app. It always give me a black screen when i "Shake to Save" a movie.
Sweet, I got this working.
Now alls I have to do is find a good channel guide that'll tell me what channels the Liverpool games are on!!
Have the same problem. When choosing a channel, nothing happens, just "current playing <channel number>"
TCPMP won´t open, no buffering, nothing...:-(
Just made a hard reset (with official HTC winmo 6.5 rom) so no extra media players are installed
Sometimes it takes a little longer to load...
Did u use the TVU player attached? Could be a version issue.
I'm running a stock rom with coreplayer and tcpmp installed and it worked first time for me!
I think I prefer this to sopcast as the TVU player has a real TV schedule so I know what channel I need to stream without haveing to start one and check then close and check another!
TVU is not working
Hi there!
i just found this thread, and wanted to watch some tvu channels on my htc hd2. but it doesnt buffer and the tcpmp player shows no pictures...
Hopefully someone can help me with this.
my rom version is: 1.66.407.1
i only have this htc for 2 weeks now, so it would be a lot of help if someone could help me with this!!!
best wishes
die spritze
ps: all grammatical mistakes are for your entertainment!!
anyone knows something?
Hi
As you know the football season is going be kickin in a few days time. We hope someone fix this problem?
So has anyone got this working properly on their htc hd2? I am having the same problem as users above. When clicking on channel(s) its just buffers and nothing happens after that?
Any ideas or solution for this, many thanks.
p.s May be sopcast should release a mobile version now?
It's still working flawless here. I didn't do anything special, just installed everything as mentioned above. Last week i installed everything again and still no problems.
Just use the files uploaded in this thread, install it in the right order and have a little patience buffering everything before pushing the play button 10 times....
I only use it with WIFI.
Maybe your ROM is not "compatible"? I'm not sure if that has anything to do with this issue.

Unless it works for other sites besides youtube, it's nothing new. It's also still very slow and buggy, so I think we'll have to wait for wm 7 in order to get full flash support.

If you by this update mean the fp7_ppc_en.cab I cannot confirm your statement I got both and the southpark webpage still gives the typical error message about third party content. Did you do something else flashplayer/options related to make it work??

Absolutely Fantastic!
Thank you for the heads-up. Great (low) quality here over EDGE in the West Midlands on O2's clapped out data network.

I wish I had this yesterday - Thank you.
Still no good for me.
HD2 with stock O2 rom. Opera 9.7.
O2 network HSDPA in London.

I would love to get this to work....
Made a mistake replied to the wrong thread lol.
Works for me but I'm using Skyfire rather than Opera.
works a treat for me
Virgin media
stock rom
opera 10
Sign up to Tvcatch on my pc
i do have flashlite installed and the flash fix for opera 9.7 ( both i found didn't seem to do anything, but maybe they do now?!)
also, gonna be dim, TV -catch -up, is there any catch up on it? or just live tv...
thanks!!
Got it working with Opera 10 thanks : ) world cup at work : )
How exactly did you guys get this working? I go to the normal page and it says I need flash player (am using opera 10 which supports flash...no?), then I try the iphone link, click on the channel I want and it asks me to save a file, I click ok then it asks me to open, I click yes...and nothing happens. I have tried this with both the built in streamer and coreplayer open to no avail, any ideas guys?
Amazing! Yay! Thanks! Works perfectly... On 02 on Energy CHT ROM
works fine on mine, just use my player if catchup doesnt work.
