k the problem is tht , i m havin problem updatin the rom. this is not the 1st time i m updating rom but somehow this time its not updating.

i m tryin to update it to windows mobile 6 through t mobile softwares n also i tried many diff rom but none of'em update it.
it gives me diff error
260, 262 n 264... i did the solution it gives to solve this thing but still no luck
also i tried two diff comp... one vista n one xp but same result on both of'em..
on both comp it does connect to active sync n windows mobile in vista...
n e one who knows how to solve this plz let me know...

its t-mobile mda , i dont no is it consider as mda I or mda II...
the problem as i stat above, its jus gives me the error all the time... error 260, 266 mainly....n tht both r connection problem...but it does connect to active sync n i tried 2 diff comp fot it but same result...
on the top forum lvl pictures of the diff devices are shown
if it's the org tmobile mda also called mda1 or xda1 or qtek1010
then it cant be upgraded higher then 2003SE
but there seem another device which tmobile call just mda only is usa or something
called htc wizard if it's that one you have there is a guide in this forum

then u can use any wm06 rom from forum "Universal Mobile 6"

remove battery and pres 2 buttons light + power then run "ROMUpgradeUt" from WM6PROBUSSINESSVC_V3.rar go steps and wait to info "u can reset phone"

for unlock phone need downgrade to radio 0.0.0.0 whit is in ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Upload/HTC_Uni_Unlock_v1.7z after wirte radio to phone from HTC_Uni_Unlock_v1.zip u copy to phone UNI_Unlock_v1.exe run in phone and wait les 1min to notice "u now have superCID" and u have unlocked uni.
now u can update new rom....u can try:

I see there is an Upgrade for the ROM/OS for the Magician which I understand should solve my SDIO Wifi card lockups ( Bios Upgrade needed) I see by the Post (UPDATE 2 - Fixes) Rom Wwe 2.03 For Htc Magician (jam) that it looks very straightforward. As I am very attached to this MDA Compact I cant afford for it to go down . Can u advise whether I can use the above 'Upgrade' with the MDA Compact which I understand is the same phone as the Magician?

oi mate it does work i tryed it on my mda
but i dont know about thw wifi thing i havent tryed that
it works..
i am using it on my o2 mini, sandisk wlan card..802.11+256 mb storage..it works good..drivers are on sandisk website...

Thanks for feedback on this matter. Whats the info about BIG Storage? Is there improved memory available on this upgrade? Anyone had any bugs or problems since the Upgrade? Its a long tale,,,how i got this 1, my 1St WM Phone aftr a long wait of abt 7mths, as Availabilty f gud Wm phones in my part f country was bleak...& to make things worse, i lost my previous symbian for dat long
Finally, i got Imported To my place a UNLOCKED T MOBILE MDA VARIO III just 10 days back.
I GOT it for around 800 $ (without Tom Tom tastr version, Extra Screen protector, memory card)
IMPORTED BCOZ HTC HASNT LAUNCHED even HTC TYTN yet in my country..Just its variants like jasjam and xda stellar r available and dat too ,with huge price tags. After abt 3 mths f followup with Offcial HTc Peoploe ovr here, they still nt ready to divulge any details abt launched ,so i decided f importing one.
UNLOCKED BCOZ T MOBILE Doesnt provide service in here & unlocking services r nt availabel in my part f state (not atleast of WMobiles)
Since i had not much idea abt its workin excpt WM O.S's r smwht similar to Windows Desktop O.S's with registry stuff & all & had never used a WM b4 receiving mine,
So after experimentation f few days & Hard Resetting My Device for abt 3 times already due to many sftware problems etc,
I m here to get First Advise,regarding Flashing a NEW ROM to it

3) HARD SPL (pof's) is also for CID unlock ? written in dat thread but cant find any other reference other than topic heading !
3) What way i can find out whether hard spl has ben installed already or not? or can hard spl be installed again?

You better HardSPL it or you will have an $800 brick on your hands. Try reading the wiki. Its very helpful. Also I think that other members as well as I would appreciate it if you didn't use as many abbreviations and colors. Seriously.

1.) What? Its going to be in German because you bought an imported one. Easily changed with a rom flash. There is also software to remap the keyboard if needed.
2.) If you just got it it probably hasn't been flashed. A good indicator is if it still has all the t-mo crap all over it (splash screens etc.)
3.)You need to HardSPL, any kaiser version will work. If you go into bootloader mode (read Wiki) it will say OliPof at the end of the 2nd or 3rd line
4.) Yes
5.) Not needed for flashing, but to really use the all the capabilities of your phone you need one

hey guyz i am using ((Jwrightmcps Crossbow ROM Update 2.12.08 WWE)) and itz working fine . i just want to upgrade network wizard bcuz my network provider setings r old in that rom version and i have downloaded ((htc connection setup version 1.0 build 31758 )) and i just want to know how can i install this new network wizard in my universal . cuz wen i tried to update it itz giving me an error -- my universal is giving error that no data base wen ever i restart it and the old version network wizard is not working its saying no database -- wat to do please help . i want to delete previous version and want to install new 1 .. sry if m sounding dumb .. bbie tc plz rep ..

i tried download the Mary v3.7 (original thread): Lite | SuperLite | Lite, no TouchFlo (N.B. Possible conflict with S2U2 (only if you use this - most users should be fine))
And
FInixNOver v3.6 (original thread): Normal | Light
and some others and they will enter the boothloade and it will show the sign of it trying to upgrade some will get to 3% and some will not move at all and it will bring some kind of erro on my system and if i use the soft reset it will go back to the booth loader page and will remain there untill i use the old vertion of windows (windows mobile 5 )b4 it will get back to normal
plz help me i need to change it to wm 6.1 or 6.5

sounds like your device is locked. Read for example http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293632 about unlocking your device.
hello thanks for your reply i have being usin it so i gues it has being unlocked any time i try upgrading it with the latest vertions on (6.1 or 6.5) i gfet an error mesage som update will get to 28% and stop and some will get to 3% and will bring out error codes different error code for diff vertion i try to use and when i tried the sspl-trin after acceptin it and it gets to my bootloader it wount recognise the usb cable attached to my system plz what hive i not done correctly? or is their a perticular vertion i am surposed to use with my htc p3600 ? plz can any body help me out
