I have also a HTC Wizard and i want also the WM6 titanium on this device.
But what i do, it doesnt work. The flashing is going well (i haved flashed it to the WM6Titanium rom).
When i reset the wizard it stil stays in the WM5 with the following details:
ROM version 2.26.10.2 WWE
ROM date: 6/7/06
Radio version: 02.25.11
Protocol: 4.1.13.12
ExtROM: 2.26.10.105
Model NO: WIZA200
AKU: 2.3
IPL: 2.17
SPL: 2.17

I did the "Howto flash a Wizard... a little tutorial" from member Vippie before i do any WM6 flashing. What i try, it will not flash to any WM6
Who knows what the problem is?
Then you're phone is probably CID locked. I recommend you reading the thread about how to get rid of the CID lock.

Your right.. I had upgrade my wizard before with a other ROM. I think there was an lock in it.. Thanks..
PLEASE make sure you go through the Wiki and read all of the Stickys before you ask questions like this. Almost no phone comes CID unlocked (the ones on eBay that are used sometimes are) but everything else is blocked.. so you need to CID unlock it and make sure that you read everything about it so you don't brick your phone. good luck

I have upgraded my dopod rom using this file RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship.exe from the xda developers ftp.
After upgrading I found that the version number is incorrect
IPL 1.00
SPL 2.15.0000
I have tried reflashing with the same rom several time but the version number for IPL remains the same.
How can I upgrade the IPL correctly?
Where can I find the upgrade for IPL/SPL 2.15.0001?
I cannot flash my dopod 818 pro ROM...it said that I have wrong type of device :?: :?: :?: :?:

The rom I flash last time for my O2 XDA neo was RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship-NoVendorID. No CID unlocking is neccesary, and the procedure of flashing is as easy as installing a software.
You don't need .0001
AFAIK, the number depends of G3 or G4 mainborad hardware version. .0000 means that you have G3. Let it be, and don't touch if it works well.
I also have the same problem. My IPL seems 1.00 and I'm looking for the 2.15.0001.
I'm totally sure I have the device CID unlock, why? I can Install ROM from i-mate, Qtek and Dopod.
I tryed many days, many hours nad still working.

How can I tell if my phone is cid-locked, I would really like to change the ROM without the risk of bricking it. Has anyone one tried lokiwiz to cidunlock their phone? any advice would be appreciated. BTW I bought the phone from gray market in Hong Kong and is Vodafone branded, do you think it would be locked?
It came preloaded with Dopod Rom, but I don't like it that much. Also what is the best radio rom, the dopod radio rom is a bit weak.

Normally when you flash your rom you will know imediately when it try to update.

so should I try to flash a rom and see what happens? if it goes through without an error it is cid unlocked? if an error pops up it is locked? Should I try this or should I avoid the risks? Any ROM suggestions? Qtek maybe?
Since your phone is G4 chip, i'm pretty sure you are CID locked. Dont worry about the CID locking for now, GOOD ROMS outthere been using different programs to get around CID locking problem. I suggest you can start with PDAMobiz rom from the other thread. REMEMBER USE G4 program not G3 or other programs. or look for any rom that has NoVender CID in the name.
MDA VARIO II with Dopod WM6
I recently bought Tmobile MDA Vario ii with Dopod Wm6. When it boots it shows dopod sign so I think it is dopod. The ROM is 3.54.707.3.
I want to upgrade to Wm6.1 but Tmobile has only official 3.60.xx rom presently available for download. Can I directly flash any Hermis compatible ROM on MDA Vario II.?
Since it has Dopod WM6 the CID lock must have been diabled I suppose. Am I right? and should I directly flash any HERMIS official or extended ROM? what are your suggestions Thanks

I don't know enough about the Hermes and flashing to be certain, but I think you'll need to HardSPL (which bypasses bootloader CID checks) before flashing a ROM.
Take a look at the Hermes sub fora before doing anything though...

From the looks of your IPL and SPL, seems to be a G3... so not a problem...

A G3 Wizard will have the following
IPL: 1.xx or 2.xx or 2.xx.00x (Note that this version only has TWO 0's.).

Oh I forget I have another problem. Why my MDA when sync with my PC sometimes disconnect by itself, now it's more worst I can't sync my MDA to my PC. I used Active Sync 4.0 Windows 2000 SP4.

I don't know but after reading so many brick units, maybe it is better you do a hard reset and see if it solves your Active Sync connection problems before attempting an upgrade..

you have to upgrade using that 2.26 rom!!! If you dont BEWARE the Devil will come for you
Ya you have to or you could just brick your phone! You have to have IPL/SPL above 2.00. The rom 2.26 as above will give you IPL/SPL 2.26.
And before you try to flash make sure you have read all you can, cus it does not always go right first time and you need to know what to do if you have a problem.
If you start flashing and it reset. Dont think it is dead try below
Hold the button voice button and press the reset button, when it sorts its self out you should have a screen with 3 colors. Connect your USB and flash away but use a non cooked rom. Flash T-mobile 2.26 again
I once had to re-flash my phone 6 times before I was happy! Then found out that i could have sored the problem by using a reg key!! LOL oh well!
I have already SPL 1.06 and IPL 1.01 can I directly unlock my MDA using lokiwiz? No need to downgrade to button ROM.

If you are still on IPL/SPL 1.XX
you should be able to unlock it with the lokiwiz software.

Thanks guys now I'm on Faria ROM real thing but I'm still confused about my MDA why everytime I want to sync I must replace the USB cable more than two times to get syncronize with my PC. Some times it disconnect by it self, than I must reconnect again. Anyone know what happen to my MDA?

We don't have a way of telling whether or not it is unlocked, just whether or not you CAN unlock it (depending on whether you have a G3 or G4) I am not sure what you have from this, so please soft reset your phone and give us the IPL and SPL so we can tell you what type of phone you have.
Also, go here once you have found out your IPL and SPL to find out whether you have a G3 or G4. G4s cannot be unlocked and you need to use different software to flash your phone. Good luck.

The IPL & SPL are both "2.25" no zeros...so it must be G3.
You should do some reading first before you brick your phone. Many people want to jump right in without reading. You should know if you CID unlocked your phone or not, unless you bought it from someone else.
There is know way to check if it is CID unlocked. Just run the program and choose yes when it asks if you want to CID unlock. You will also find that people here will suggest using the search button.

I saw that in your other post, it says that your phone is now CID unlocked but I don't know about the error. Maybe someone else can answer that.

Its not guaranteed to work on newer devices but its worth a try.....

I have no idea what the SPL/IPL versions were in the original ROM.
I need to return the phone for a swap under warranty (unrelated to flashing)
I have seen conflicting posts about whether or not there was a problem reverting to an older bootloader, etc. Most of the posts seem to be referring to the UK SDA (Typhoon), not the US SDA (Tornado). But they are similar enough that the concerns might be valid.
So the question is... How do I get back the SDA back to "factory fresh?" I have the original T-Mobile ROM. I downloaded it from HTC months ago. Is it as simple as running the original EXE, or will I need to jump through hoops?

Use TyphoonNBFTool and open the nbf file in your original ROM, you will see the versions
The Dopod 577w AKU2 ROM for my Tornado comes with IPL and SPL, so if your ROM comes with it, then it will be patched. Just run the ROMUpgradeUtility.
Here is what TyphoonNbfTool gives me.
So, since it shows IPL and SPL are in the ROM, I don't need to worry about being able to downgrade?
Also. by going from WM6 to WM5, do I need to launch teraterm and "FORMAT BINFS" again?
