Is the htc S310 compaith WM6?I was thinking bout upgrading the ROM from WM5 but don't want to flash the ROM before I know it's compatable.
HTC Universal, is a phone model, also rebranded as the XDA exec, qtek 4040, xda-IV, SPV M5000, mda-IV, imate 2005 and others.
It is not a "Universal" rom that will work on any HTC phnoe.

Hi All,
My first post...
Can you guys can assist me in a little mission I have undertaken..?
I am trying to find out all of the TAC codes for HTC devices?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_Allocation_Code
The TAC is the first 6 digits of the IMEI. This is unique to the model of the device.
Can everyone please post the first 6 digits of there IMEI so I can collate this information? There maybe a number of TACs per device.
Once I have all of this information I will add it all to the wiki.
Hope you all willing to help.

does the HTC Wizard's ROM can flash the HTC Prophet Qtek S200 / Dopod 818 ? thanks
I don't think so. Isn't the internal hardware different?

Different device -- Very unlikely.
Hi ive just got my hands on a old XDA Exec (HTC universal) and i was wondering is there just a plain old HTC rom, rather than the operator roms?
Ive got a tytn II and i know there are default HTC roms for that so i was wondering if there was one for the Universal?

There is no HTC rom, because it was never sold as the HTC Universal - it was always rebranded.
ah ok! thanks for letting me know!

The closest you can get to a "Plain" Universal Rom is the Dopod 900 official 1.30. Dopod was in fact a direct HTC sub company which is now all merged into HTC. The ones from QTEK, O2, iMate etc are all "customers" to HTC and they have their own rebranded roms
Hi all,
I have just bought the Wife a new phone, orange SPV E650, i think its a version of the HTC S710 (HTC Vox), the phone is unlocked and i am wanting to know if i could flash the phone to a t-mobile rom? if so, what version of MDA is it and do you know where i can get the rom from?
Regards
Kurpter
I do not believe that T-Mobile ever offered this device, thus they would have no ROM for it. None of the MDA-series ROM customizations will work on it either. Stick with one that's been cooked by our chefs.
And yes, the SPV E650 is an HTC S710.
I got my Dopod Touch Diamond yesterday as a gift, and was pretty happy, but the problem is that it is WM 6.1 Chinese. I have been doing some reading and installed Hard-SPL on it. I live in HK and downloaded a official rom (english) for Hong Kong for HTC Touch Diamond. I tried flashing it but it told me that it could not flash my device. I wanted to know if someone could give me some advice on how to install the official rom of another language? Any help would be much appreciated.

You can't flash it with an HTC Touch Diamond ROM.
But Dopod Touch Diamond = HTC Touch Diamond, cept bought in china. Doesn't the forum link also state that?
Diamond - AKA: HTC P3700 / HTC P3701 / HTC P3702 / HTC Touch Diamond / HTC Touch Diamond P3702 / HTC Touch Diamond (White Gold Edition) / Orange & HTC Touch Diamond / Swisscom & HTC Touch Diamond / Vodafone & HTC Touch Diamond / Dopod S900 (Touch Diamond) / O2 Xda Diamond / O2 Xda Ignito / T-Mobile MDA Compact IV / EMobile Emonster S21HT / NTT DoCoMo PRO series HT-02A
Yes, you can flash it with HTC Diamond official rom or a chefs rom (make sure you have hardspl). Check this Dopod Diamond thread for some answers or ask questions there:
