Looks good, can you tell me which news plugin your using?
Looks good, can you confirm whether you have overcome the issue with VoIP & Enterprise VPN?

Are you going to fix the issues with TouchFLO? Such as, the black screen issue, TouchFLO not working after you expose keyboard and type a text message, and TouchFLO not automatically starting when the phone starts up? If not, it's not even worth including it in the ROM since there are so many problems with it. I have all that stuff installed in my Mogul right now and I'm about to take out TouchFLO because it just randomly stops working, it don't start up automatically, and it stops working after I send text messages every single time.

yeah i wish it worked but it doesn't really seem worth the hassle
it would be an awesome addition to any phone but the bugs need to be fixed first so it can work on most phones.
What no 5th tab??
NOOOO!!!!!!! Build it on a 318!!!!!
Looks nice, when can we test this?
Anyone having crashes whenever they click on "Menu" for the Messages portion for TouchFlo3D? I'm not sure when it starts, but I think it happens when I install the Call History tab from NaviDavi. Everytime I hit the menu softkey, manila.exe crashes, and it's the ONLY menu not working properly for me.
Anyone else using a different history tab without any issues?
I do not have the call history tab, but have the calendar tab. No crashes to this point sorry to say.
Try another ROM. DCSv14 for example. No troubles in stability at all. On stock ROMs I also have a crashes on manila.exe, gwes.exe and shell32.exe in random cases.
I dint have any problems as such, try a hard reset if you want...

I did that 3 times, and it still didn't fix things. It only happens after applying a bunch of tweaks.

I think your best bet is to install a known good rom...
Man, this is strange. I installed a Diamond only theme with no landscape and my Menu button the SMS portion of TouchFlo magically worked. No crashes. Then I installed the patched version for Touch Pro from NisseDILLIGAF, and the problem came back again.
I want to know how I can find out the source of this problem. If it's a tweak that caused this, which tweak could it be?
Nobody else having this problem after installing the call history cab?
My solution may not please you, but I installed Diamond TF3D config and simply deleted that tab. Now all the Icon sets I have d/l work like a charm and I actually find myself enjoying TF3D. I AM NOT using a cooked ROM, but a factory ROM that came in the phone last week.
Now the embarrasing thing is that I cannot tell you if it happend with the Original TF3D. To be honest, I HATED TF3D at first, before I started doing the tweaks.
Unfortunately does not work on my device. Always getting error “Failed acquiring of the hook”.
Anyone tested already?
Previous version is great but this one promises some nice features…
Homepage: http://pocketshield.netserver01.com/
I have used PocketShield the past few days without any issue, both eval and retail versions. I have .NetCF 3.5 installed and stock ROM. I have ACT3.3 but haven't changed too much that I think would affect the program.
Solved
…found the issue. New version cannot coexist with PQzII (keyboard helper).
Does anyone have this application working on the Fuze. I was using 1.3 fine and now none of the 2.0 versions work without crashing on the device. Latest version I tried was 2.0.6.2 and it will crash constantly, anyone with a Fuze had any luck with this app.
Gave up on it and had too many issues on my fuze =/ It looked nice and I was going to buy it, but screw that. Until the bugs are fixed, I'll stick to SensorLock or TouchLockPro.

I like SensorLock, but it stopped working on my Fuze. Now it installs and runs fine, but doesn't lock anything! I have no idea what changed, I'm still running a stock rom.

Same here...Now I'm using PocketShield....but not really happy. Wish SensorLock would work right and get an update. Oh well.
SensorLock also died on my fuze. I just reset the locking gesture to default. I now use TouchLockPro and it works much nicer than SensorLock.
I'm using TouchLockPro 1.5 also and really like it. Battery's great since switching from S2U2. Make sure to take a look at the registry tweaks (LockTouchPanelOnly is probably a must).
I tried the new version that was released today? or maybe a couple days ago. It worked fine for a while and I was happy. Until now. My power button has been *magically* mapped to PShield. WTF? whenever i click the power button it opens up Pshield rather than turning the screen off.

I've been using 2.0.6.2 for the past several days with no issues. I only use the finger slide unlock and I use the PocketShield dialer and phone plug-in.
The latest version 2.1 appears to be working well for me on the Fuze now. It has some enhancements over the 2.0.x versions that make up for the wait.
The more stuff they add the less I like it. I just want a simple easy to use screen lock to prevent "auto answering" the phone when taking it out of my pocket or case. The first version did just that. Seems like every new application starts out clean and simple, then turns into bloatware with more bugs and features then a person wants, added in. Taking over the standard dialer, pictures popping up on the screen, 30 option boxes in the menus. Ill pass on it all, I just want to lock my screen, and swipe it to unlock it period

The MR2 update is out on the PCD site. Looked in some of the forums and nobody has mentioned it. Anyone install yet? I'm still downloading. Hoping for an updated Sense at least. PCD site only mentions a general update for VZNavigator, Contact Cards and Time Stamp.
Edit: I've downloaded and run the update and now I'm stuck at the starting HTC screen (now green letters on white) with the version numbers in red in bottom left. I've re-booted and sticks at the same place.
I'm having the same problem. I've heard you can go back to the MR1 update. Also, sounds like people who unlocked their phones are the ones having the issue. Anybody else have any info?
TP2 Verizon MR2 update
Found this nice summary of changes over at WMExperts:
ROM: 4.01.605.15/Radio: 2.35.00WV
Operating system has been upgraded to Windows Mobile®
6.5 COM2.5.
The HTC Sense™ user interface has been improved.
Visual Voice Mail (version 1.1.12.11) now comes preloaded on the device.
GlobalAccess Connect support. For international Internet access, you can tether your smartphone to a notebook.
Enhanced VZ Navigator® performance.
Improved auto-configuration of Daylight Saving Time.
Improved word prediction and autocorrection.
Enhanced on-screen keyboard layouts.
New, compact QWERTY keyboard option.
When composing email or text messages, type the first few letters of the recipient’s name in the To field to see a list of possible matches.
Quick setup of common email account types and an option to set up an email account manually.
However there is a problem with the update. You will need to relock it apparently to load it. Here is what they found:
Quote:

I'm going to now try a straight dump and rebuild to see if it is just something in their updater thats causing the issue.
Yep, It is the boot.rgu and the OEM_FLASHDRV_1.DLL that's causing the problem!"
It is Sense 2.5, as I mentioned back in March.
One thing I noticed, is that my customized taskbar doesn't work correctly on this ROM. Some icons remain stock while others change. Some DLL's have changed names I guess.
They also mentioned that the task manager is gone, does that mean that I cant choose what to close and when to close it now?

I got it last night but haven't had a chance to check it out.
You were right Brent!
I forgot about loosing the HTC taskbar. Looking forward to finally be able to add customs tabs now that I have HTC sense 2.5.
I'm having a problem getting my phone re-locked. I've gone back to the stock ROM, but when I try to run the RhodiumW_SPLRelocker_063.exe nothing happens. Any suggestions or can anyone point me to a thread that can help? Thanks!
UPDATE Sorry I'm a dufus, forgot to run it As Admin

I thought you were the one that said we would get it cause you saw at Verizon or something? If not nevermind lol.
Thanks I will check out that task manager.
One more thing, is their a cab to add appointments to home tab? I know there is cookie (which I did check out) but I really just want appointments without all the extra stuff. Thanks!

I really don't know. I am not upgrading until I find a solution to getting a programs tab that actually works.
I had mentioned in a comment over at WMExperts that the taskmanager is gone... I now realize that you have to go into the All Programs to launch it, which is a drag. I miss the one on the top-right built in to the title bar
I added taskmanager to the quick links so it'll do but I'd really prefer the old one. I also miss the appointments on the homescreen. Boot time is even longer, but flipping through emails, photos and appointments in much snappier. I really enjoy the HTC Peep Twitter tab. The settings tab makeover is well appreciated too.
Overall, I really like this update though
I noticed some slow down with peep so I took it off. It was cool to have it right there but I will stick with the awesome moTweets. Too bad you couldn't add that to a tab.
edit: I do like that it locks now when I hit standby button. No more calling people by accidently (or less frequently).
htc task manager can be added so that the top right arrow is there again. It is attached to the following thread a few times. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=125428
Hey guys Mr. X over at PPCGeeks went through and fixed the MR2 VZW Update...go to PPCGeeks website (or MightyROM website) to download it..
Did they put the good soft keyboard with the 'control' key back in this rom?
I installed MR2 yesterday and everything went fine. Until it came to running for a few hours. When the phone first boots up, everything's great, but after about an hour, it just slows to a crawl. None of the animations are smooth, just recently it took five minutes to flip from one text message to another. But, that hasn't really been so bad as about every other time I go to turn the screen back on, it just doesn't turn on and the only thing I can do is pull the battery.
Yeah, the quick links are nice, the new settings page is great and the email/text message pages flip in the same direction (seriously, who missed that in MR1?) but I went from having a nice, reliable, snappy phone, to a brick of **** that I can hardly stand to use.
I'm going back to MR1.
I was running a custom ROM on Verizon TP2. I first tried to installed the MR2 ROM and as others have said it hung on bootup. I held vol down while pressing reset and the bootloader screen will come up and if you are connected to the PC will go in to USB mode. I ran Task29 which uploaded fine but the TP2 still hung on bootup. I then went to the bootloader screen again and ran the re-lock utility over at PPCGeeks. Tried to book and still hung. Went in to bootloader again and this time reran the MR2 installed which worked and finally it boot all the way up. I still did a clear memory 1234 and everything again booted up with no problems.
I am concerned about the guy above who reported that it would slow to a crawl but many that's a result of not running Task29? Hard to imagine such a fundamental problem. I mean, I don't doubt that it happened but I can't imagine that it will happen on all installs. I just installed mine a few hours ago so I guess I'll know by tomorrow.
Good luck!!

This is/was a "clean" phone. never unlocked, no custom roms, just straight from Verizon to me to MR2 so running task29 doesn't seem necessary.
shrug. when I get some free time next year, I'll call vzw and ask them wtf happened.
Figured perhaps a bug thread for the Rogers 2.2 update may be in order?
Not sure if this is a bug or not, but it does seem a bit odd. The lock screen usually has the text "swipe screen to unlock" or something to that nature (the part with the <<< and >>>) - mine had it to begin with in 2.2, however now it has dissapeared and I just see the little lock icon saying the phone is locked. Is there any way to get it back or is this a 2.2 "feature" so you see more of your background?
The 2nd problem I noticed I have already started a thread on (and no replies ) - it deals with contact linking and Facebook. Seems something is whacky there too possibly. The thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=907088

Definitely a feature. I love the clearer lock screen.
Bug: Haptic feedback vibration is very low system wide (not including soft keys).
Bug: Voice Dialer (Voice Dialler) is misspelled in the App Drawer.
Bug: Going to Settings > Display > Font Style causes a crash.
All I remember so far but there has been several.

Confirmed feature of Froyo, or is this a Rogers/Samsung specific feature? Just wondering because it WAS showing up for a few lock screens right after the upgrade, then eventually stopped showing up - reboot/battery reset didn't get it back... haven't tried a factory reset yet to see if that fixes it (if it's broke).

No problems here - did you have it set to a custom/non default font when upgrading? I had mine on default (I prefer that to any other font) and have no issues changing fonts.
I've had some issues with wifi losing it's internet / market connection after wake up sometimes. shows still connected, but no network access. i have to turn wifi off, then back on occasionally.

Go to Settings -> Wireless and network -> Wi-Fi settings. From this screen, hit your menu key and select Advanced and try changing your Wi-Fi sleep policy to Never... perhaps it's set to "When screen turns off" causing you to lose Wi-Fi whenever you lock your phone?
Oh, another bug possibly...
Go to Camera app and open Settings. Open the wrench tab and go to the 2nd page. Click the Update button beside Firmware update. Either of the next two menu choices ("Check version by network" or "Firmware update") seem to freeze the phone (power off required). Doesn't seem to happen all the time, but my first time trying to get the update to do something caused the phone to lock up in to camera mode.
Also, the "It will occur additional fee." message is quite fun... no idea what fees I will incur, or for what reason (and I won't even get in to the grammar issues).

Well it can't be a Froyo feature because no other manufactures use the same lock screen as they do. So it's a Samsung feature brought on by Froyo. Simply, it can't be a bug.

Yeah, I had to it some other font besides the default font...guess I'm screwed now? Bugs like these make me more anxious to get real Froyo.

Its much faster and smoother than 2.1 stock was for me. Did you set it up fresh? Older settings can cause issues.
you guys have this issue? you may not even know it until you try to use mass storage mode. I use iSyncr (lets me use smart playlists based on ratings) so I need mass storage mode.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=907854
My wife and I (each have a Captivate) have had none of the bugs you guys have mentioned.
All we have experienced is a faster phone and WAY better battery life.
The only thing that upset me is that the update deleted my Ocean Wave livewallpaper, but I just redownloaded it.
Did some of you guys experiencing bugs ever run a custom ROM? I am thinking maybe these issues might be because you did...
Re: Haptic Feedback.
I've noticed it too, it's much weaker than before.
I could have sworn that I saw the option to turn up the intensity before, but can't find it now.

Go for it..I installed it and so far the improvements have been great over 2.1
Battery life is much improved, its faster than stock 2.1 (and after applying Ryan's OCLF...its incredibly responsive)
If you do have a lagfix installed prior to upgrading you should uninstall that first. Thats what I did and didn't have much problems. my one issue with Swype was fixed by clearing the cache.

I gave it a go on your recommendation. Updated with no issues, now to actually try using it...
Has anyone rooted after applying 2.2? If so, what did you use?
I've been having issues turning on WiFi on my phone ever since I installed the update.
I accidentally clicked Airplane mode on my phone this morning, now my phone has been trying to turn the WiFi back on for about 5 mins....
As for battery life, my phone the first few days after installing Froyo seemed great, but now it doesn't really seem as good? No idea why....
And I've noticed a bit of lag at times while navigating on my phone.
Using LauncherPro Plus as my home screen, haven't rooted or installed any roms or anything.
I have noticed that when you turn the phone on from when it is off, if you don't wait for the wallpaper to display before swiping your phone on, the phone will stall. Mine stalled for about 5 minutes before it responded again.
I'm having a couple of small issues:
1) I can't get the GPS to look position. It just displays "Waiting for Location" and sits there.
2) OCLG - I got about 1000 on quadrant score. It doesn't seem laggy but I wanted to apply this lagfix to see if it can be better. I tried runnig the first option in the menu (z4 rooting), and it tries to launch either a page or the market (not sure which) but says "Page Not Found", but when you close it and press back, it says the root was successful, but all the other options are still "unavailable" so I can't apply the lagfix. There's a second method in the menu to do a root and that one fails as well, so I'm not sure how to get this working.
3) Camera - I got the same problem as a previous poster for the firmware update where it says "fees will occur" then when I click "yes", it tries to launch a page/market (again not sure) and says "Page Not Found".
4) Rooting - not sure how to root because the previous method of putting my update.zip and doing it through the recovery menu fails.
Any help is appreciated.
I was running rooted lagfixed stock Rogers 2.1 before. Removed lagfix first and did a factory reset before updating to 2.2 through Kies.
After updating to 2.2 I re-rooted and lagfixed with no issue.
Things bugs I have noticed on my phone:
- Camera a few times had started up with a black screen only with usual camera options but it's as if it does not see anything from the lens (had done camera fw update on it. You can download it from Samsung Apps app)
- When viewing "Contacts" can't press Back button to exit it so I just press Home button. Small bug
- can't set up smtp outbound email settings on stock email app. Keep getting it can't connect with server even when manually inputting correct settings.
- Battery undetermined as i've been playing with GPS a lot testing it so it drains pretty quick.
- GPS - Had no problems with 2.1 (using GPS + "Use wireless networks") but it's been horrible on 2.2. Locks ok when stationary, fluctuating between 5-9 satellite locks (used lbstestmode to check) but when you are moving or when using it for Navigation, it will be ok for a short bit then would eventually start bouncing all over the place or start getting weak/lost locks. Was using it on the hwy one time and it would suddenly tell me to do a u-turn because it thought I was on a side road. (condition was clear and phone was by windshield).
What it did fix for me:
- Opening Gallery before would sometimes lock up the phone requiring battery pull in 2.1. Fixed for me with 2.2
- Running latest updated Maps would sometimes lock up the phone requiring battery pull in 2.1. Fixed for me with 2.2 but still somewhat useless because of issue mentioned previously.
I can live with all the bugs except for the abismal gps.
